    If you read Christopher Doyle's diary from working on Happy Together everything he's ever said in an interview makes so much sense. He may jabber a lot, but he means every word of it. The way WKW, William Chang and Doyle all work together on a film is really what makes a WKW movie what it is

      Yeah, that's why I don't like the word "oh it's a wkw film !" though shorter to say ! I kind of read most of the books and interviews by/on the three, and in the end you feel a bit like WKW is an impostor lol ! But he's the leader of the team, he guides and pushes them, so without that force, it wouldn't work too ! Look at the crappy cinematography from My Blueberry nights for example, but the wonderful Grandmaster...it's not given to anyone to work in these conditions as cinematographer !

      Haha I still have some WKW, Chris Doyle is quite hard to find...I have some personal recordings though but only the audio...

      @@FilmsExtras anything from Lee Chang-dong would be cool (but interviews with him are pretty rare). Or some interviews with or about Japanese filmmakers :)

      @@hiphopheadninethree Ok I'll look for this. I have some with Kitano cand kurosawa coz they're among my favorite directors, but I'm currently looking for an OCR to be able to have both french and english subs on the videos...

      at 0:10 ? He mentions Zhang Shuping 张叔平, all time WKW collaborator as Production Designer and Editor :)

      Ashes of Time. They went to Cannes for the Redux release in 2008 where the interview was conducted.
