I’ve played polo for 6 years or so and I’ve never had anything hit my wrist, and if it was hit by a mallet in a swing a broken watch should be the least of your problems !

Thanks Tim! So many options. Do you have a favorite Reverso? Do you still believe the 976 to be the “essential/definitive” Reverso to own?
I own the 976 in ss with the black dial (in my opinion the more beautiful and also much rarer version compared to the silver dial) and it fits perfectly on my 18.5 cm wrist. I tried on many reversos and this was by far the best for me. But I'd say you can't go wrong with any reverso - except the squadra😄

The septantieme is breathtaking. Also the second to the right Reverso with the grey dial is beautiful. To use this dial color was a risk in itself, but it works very well. Great video.

Great vid. I think it's funny people call this a dress watch when it was invented for playing polo. If anything, it's the first sports watch!

I have a Reverso Polo watch by Jaeger Le Coultre as stated on the watch face. It hasn’t got a strap and the retaining mechanism to hold the flip over cover in place needs working on too. On the back of the slide cover is an engraved ‘Z’ design. The whole piece is a gold / brass like colour. Does anybody have any info on this beauty ?

That large plate on the caseback side seems to borrow the Ghashutte aesthetic, especially that of A. Lange & Sohne.
