Nice video man. I had a problem with DDR solid amber light after enabling EXPO (ryzen 7600x; radeon 7800xt; 2x16GB Gskill 30; TUG gaming b650m plus wifi). PC booted, I installed Win and all drivers, GPU, etc. Then enabled EXPO. comes the board with a BIOS pre installed, or do i need to install the bios like you show in the video?
it will have a bios on it but it might need updating depending on the processor you are planning to use
Hello Mike, I was updating the bios and it took a long time and it did not happen. Should I disconnect the USB cable or the power supply cables first or what? Note that when I named the file with that renamer it appeared without .CAP and I added it manually. CAP now it is solid. What should I do? What should I disconnect first? Is there any damages ? please answer me as soon as you can
try without the RAM installed, that sometimes helps
Can’t seem to get this to work followed all the steps. I’m trying to get tcp 2.0 to turn on and I assume it’s to do with the bios
what is tcp 2.0?
Hi, I just bought the Asus TUF b650-plus wifi and i was hoping to use a 7800x3d on it, but it worries me that the ASUS boards have had problems with the cpus frying, if i update my motherboard to the newest bios like you did in this FANTASTIC video should i be safe?
:D
Yes it will
Thanks alot mate 😃👍
Just did the update, worked like a charm, though the BIOSrenamer named it TGB650PW AND MISSED OUT THE .CAP :D
@@dennishansen4001how did it go , is everything alright ? Bc I have same MoBo and CPU
hello mike.... few problems. I build it all, but when I flashed the mobo it blinkt a few times and then green....20 sec... so I think he did not recognize that stick? Anyways all the fans, work only three of them no rgb... but.... I put in a hdmi with monitor... and nothing !!!! Shit... any tips?

checked this mobo i received, it shipped with bios 1811, is that one safe to boot with a 7800x3d?
yes but i would update it anyway for logofail
Mines flashing for a a minute of so then goes solid!
that means it can't read the USB or maybe the file
@@mikesunboxing yeah it didnt rename it with the .CAP so i thought id do it manually and it worked somehow lol.
Mine goes solid too how did you fix it?

Am i download the bios and everything whilst running the new cpu on the old motherboard because i dont think you can access the internet without a cpu so how do you downpoad the bios
you need to use another pc or laptop
@mikesunboxing is there another way? Because I do not have another pc or laptop... Thanks for the fast reply btw I appreciate it
What does the flashing green light mean?
it is an activity led if you are referring to the one near the bios flashback port
@@mikesunboxing yup that's the one. It just blinks 5 times slowly and then does a double blink. And keeps doing it perpetually while pc not turning on. I tried the bios reset but nothing happening. When I insert the pendrive the light starts flashing quickly and keeps doing that even after holding the button. But this is a 3.2 gen usb. I'll try with a 2.0 usb and maybe that might wokr
I just got this exact board, and I downloaded the latest bios driver TUF GAMING B650-E WIFI BIOS 3024, but the renamer renames it to A5502.CAP and not TG650EW.CAP. Will this work? or why is the renamer not acting as expected? Thank you!
only use renamer if you are doing a USB flashback using the BIOS flashback button, if you are undating from the BIOS don't rename
i have an Asus Prime x6570e Pro Wifi but i can only update via flashback (system works normally and i can go to bios already), otherwise if i try with ez flash as soon as i press ENTER to read the file and confirm update, the system shuts off... any advice? im writing this almost everywhere and i can only find few post on reddit and asus forum but no luck in finding the solution...
that sounds very odd, i would be thinking about an RMA on that
Does anybody know if he continued the build for this particular motherboard?
used in a few livestream builds
and was my daily driver in the stream PC for months
If the power goes solid green how do I start the process again?
turn of the power and start again. There are a lot of reasons the BIOS update won't work as it should. If you are interested, we have made a video discussing common errors and some sanity checks you can make before considering returning the motherboard or taking it to a professional.
th-cam.com/video/TDtrH2QsbHo/w-d-xo.html
I've tried 3 different usb , but it doesn't seem to work the light keeps staying green :(
solid green? or flash a few times? solid means a fault in the build somewhere or a short
I cant choosefat32 only NFTS and exfat, my usb stick is 64gb but my entire build already ''works'' (if i shut down the pc and restart it it
always boot into BIOS)
it will boot into the bios if there isn't a windows install disk
@@mikesunboxingwdym by window install disk? Because I’ve installed and logged into windows used a key and setup everything including apps and games so I don’t understand

Is this same thing u gotta do for the asus tuf 670e plus wifi
yes it is
i followed all the steps. but the light is keeping green after flashing like 5 seconds. it is kind of weird. any solutions?
try another USB drive or check you have the right BIOS, the WiFi and non WiFi version at not interchangeable
It shows me the red light on the CPU. Can I flash the bios knowing that I have connected the RAM, the graphics card and the CPU? Answer me as soon as possible please
yes you can
How do i check if its actually worked when i boot up for the 1st time
If it boots it worked if it doesn’t it didn’t in a very simplistic sense
Does the USB stick have to be in MBR format? Or does it matter
Thanks !!
yes it does and FAT32

Do I still need to update the bios of this motherboard when I have the 7800x3d?
i would
Hello my friend, I have a problem with the motherboard, I updated to the latest bios version and now it doesn't recognize my dedicated video card, I tried to downgrade it, but I was successful, can you tell me another way I could go back to the bios? factory or the latest bios it was in?
you could flash an older version on it
@@mikesunboxing I already tried to do this but he is not accepting , I checked the option that it asks to check in the bios and still nothing 😭😭

can i use the same method on Asus TUF GAMING B650M-E WIFI Micro ATX?
Yes should be the same principle but a different bios file
Can i use a usb 3.1 stick?
yes you can
I did on two motherboard and both of them are dead and no way to recover it 😔
you are doing something very wrong there i think, you should be able to recover a bad flash using bios flash back
@@mikesunboxing I have tried everything thing to recover but it didn't work F.Y.I I have flashed without ram and cpu out of the box as it is but it caused motherboard brick
The only choice is to reprogram bios chip
@@Emperor095 sorry to hear that, seems a lot of that going on at the moment from the stories we are hearing on the Discord
Does that apply on rog strix b650-a ?
should be the same principle just a different bios file
@@mikesunboxing thx ❤️
As far as I’m aware, you only need the motherboard 24pin cable. You don’t need the cpu power because there’s no cpu to give it any.
I wish all motherboard’s came with this feature.
good point, The ASRock and NZXT boards say only the 24 pin, you might be on to something there
@@mikesunboxing all other videos on this subject only use the motherboard power.
Yes, The manul says that only 24 pin needed for Asus Tuf B650 Plus Wifi.
can i usb the thumb stick while on mac
that should be okay as long as you can format it and rename the file as per the video
Anyone running this recently released bios update 3057? Any issues or is it safe to run it? Please share your input here if you have the same motherboard as me and mike here. It's hard to trust asus these days after seeing the stuff their pull. Mike are you running the 3057 by any chance?
not tried it yet sorry
I tried today ... i must go back on bios 3042 ram not loaded .... very risky cuz my fllashback light is broken (not stuck) still blicking (Problem is my flashback light still blicking after turning PC off... i cant turn on it only by PSU and Power buttons same time)..after update i turn off PSU after 4:15 minute when fast light stoped
