I was on the show once in 1970. Loved to watch it as a child.

When I was a little girl in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I watched "Mr. Zing and Tuffy" on television and attended one show in the audience. I still can sing the "Hello, Hello, Hello . . . Goodby, Goodbye, Goodby. We Always Say Hello When We Say Goodbye" song.

I was actually on this show long ago as a 4-year-old. I barely remember it.

Jack Frank thank you so much for preserving history! I understand not all of them were recorded but Im searching for one that my mom was in as a child, she said she thinks she remembers playing baseball on the show and that it was in September. Please let me know if this rings a bell I know the description is very vague but it would mean a lot if I could find it for her.

Thanks for the inquiry. As you said, few of his shows were "recorded" and so this is all I have. Would love to be able to tell you I have the one with your mom, but afraid it probably doesn't exist

Got to be in the bleachers a few time while my mom interned there as a Journalism student at TU!

Oh, his daughter would so love this... alas, we've lost touch over the years. She was very proud of her Daddy. Still Love you, E.

My sister and I was on the show once together and my sister once without me. John Chick was a great guy and wonderful with children. Some years later I was at ch8 for business and John was working behind the scenes. It was a privilege to be able to thank him as an adult for his work.

Uncle Zeb, which came later, never had such an elaborate set. You can tell the people at KTUL went all out on that one.

I never missed an episode. I was in the audience once and Mr. Zing and Tuffy came to the Texaco station by Lincoln school once for us kids to meet them in person.

I was in the audience for my birthday one time in the sixties. And of course I watched the show almost every weekday.
“Beep-Beep from Oo-Oo now what do you think of that? Beep-Beep from Oo-Oo no bigger than a cat.”
“Tuffy’s a sweet ol’ tiger. He’s as sweet as sweet can be. He loves girls and boys and he loves pretty toys. Tuffy’s the tiger for me. Ring around Tuffy. His eyes are kinda puffy. His nose is kinda stuffy. But we love him just the same.”
“Shaggy. Shaggy. My dog is Shaggy. He has hair from his head to his toes. And I don’t see how he sees where he goes.”
“It’s Mr. Zing and Tuffy time so come along with me! Come along and don’t be late - we’ll all have fun you’ll see. There’s Mr. Zing and Tuffy, and all their friends so great. So join us all right here on channel 8!”
