Please don't get in the habit of click-bait thumbnails/titles. Your content and delivery is good, and your getting better everyday. Why resort to click-bait? You don't need it.
Yea I suppose it is a bit too close to clickbait now that I look back at it so some revision may be in order. But I do think it’s pretty impressive that this little box can connect to that many machines like that. Coming from the creality sonic pad that can handle four connections (wired) this is quite a leap!
I can’t agree more. Some day when I’m a real TH-camr I promise to invest in some actual gear. Or just any gear that is better than my phone. Happy to have you hanging around!
Yea if you watch my first AMS filament dryer mod video, I kind of talk about how I am working on just doing and revising instead of letting analysis paralysis kill my ambitions. So deep, so intellectual for sure
another thing to mention: you can buy a smart power management module from the same company -> with this you have a smart connection available to the Panda touch, providing you the additional information about your power consumption. Of course, not really necessary. I would rather call it -> a quality of life upgrade :)
I'm using an every ender 5 pro and octoprint on an old laptop, now i can control my printer from any device on my network so a little screen is not needed. It's a good idea but once dialed in I'm rarely fussing with manual control.. did burn out the knob of a creality screen though..
your video's, your character, just everything about your work is brilliant. Really enjoying your video's. I won't be buying the Panda though, I am stuck infront of my pc most days, so I mostly just use bambu studio. One thing I can say, is that sometimes I wish I was better at making video's, I feel that I have so much to share. That being said, I loose about 90% of my braincells when I hit the record button, so won't be doing that soon. Any way, keep up the great work. And thanks for the Entertainment knowlage stuff.
Hey thanks for the kind words. Happy to have you hanging around but keep trying to record videos. Look at our first few videos on the channel from Feb and March… they’re rough. If you keep doing reps, I’m sure you will only find improvement as we are hoping to do!
I have a P1S and to be honest I don't use the screen. My PC is a metre away and I use that for everything I need. Sure a touchscreen should have been an optional extra, but it's not a game changer for me.
I've got an X-Touch (basically a DIY Panda Touch), but honestly I only use the button to turn on or off the printer's light. If they had put that single toggle function as the default action when after idling pressing the original display's center button, that original display would just have been great for me. Everything else I'll anyway do on the slicer or the app. So, I'm always annoyed when people call the P1S display garbage. It's functional and honestly, even if the P1S would not have had any display, it would still have been better than any other printer I've used.
I almost would have preferred that they go without a display at all to your point! The half measure is kind of the worst of both worlds in my opinion. Too I’ll-featured to be usable for anything outside of single button actions but if a user is in your situation, then it’s pointless to even have that one
Yes very unnecessary luxury but not having to get my phone out and spend two seconds navigating the Bambu app does it for me. Lazy, impatient, not sure what the affliction is but this thing is great
I wonder how vulnerable this is to Bambu firmware changes. They have a strong leaning toward gate keeping so people don't wander too far from the mother ship/store. I'm LAN only and have configured my computer to send and receive files to the microSD card so I don't have to use my stairs to load files. That is just one firmware update away from stopping. I haven't and won't load any apps on my cell phone that introduce the "man in the middle" scenario where things in my office have to go to China and back before my print request will start and the printer's internal ftp server is critical for that to work.
One thing to point out, whenever Bambu does a update, it will break the functionality until BTT can push and update the Panda Touch to work with whatever changes BL made.
@@KeoPrints I have an AMS, but I'm largely bought into the Bambu eco-system, so the AMS takes care of itself. I just load spools, and it lets me know what's in there. I print from a PC. I have the app, but I only ever look at it to check in on a print when I'm away from home. On the A1's I use the screens a little more to load and unload filaments, as I don't use the AMS lite or whatever they call it. Good video!
I have never used the screen except on day 1 install. I have my phone, pc and an ipad on a stand next to it. All of these have way more function than the screen on the bambu
It would be an even better deal if it controlled 600 printers! That would be a savings of negative $360,000 after you buy the 599 printers. But think of how much the screen costs per printer.
i just got a e3d obsidian nozzle for my p1s, combine that with hardened extruder and its better than default x1. people on their x1 are buying e3d nozzles. the only difference between theirs and mine is the screen, the camera, and one is grey
I haven't used my screen for anything other than a quick check on the remaining time. With it being networked the screen is next to useless. I could quite happily live without it all together.
@@KeoPrintshey,nice video but could you please elaborate on the lagging? For me 60 bucks is a decent chunk of change i have not seen any review showing prolonged use of the screen ( more than a few seconds of b roll) and I would really want to know how bad the lag is
I'm sure the mp3 display design was a marketing choice over a cost savings one. You want the sexy screen? Got to shell out those big bucks. It is like how if you want to double the storage in your phone it costs 100 bucks more instead of the 5 bucks it costs them to add it.
I totally get that especially if you don’t have an AMS. I think it’s worthwhile just for the screen upgrade but I churn prints quite a bit. The wireless and multi machine stuff is just gravy
Frankly, I was this close to buying the P1S, but that stupid screen really turned me off so I went with the A1 since I’m mainly printing PLA and PETG anyway. That screen is horrible.
You are right. I am just impressed with its ability to pair to 10 discreet machines at once. That’s all I am trying to highlight because other similar products don’t even come close!
I didn't realize how it was coming across but there has been enough feedback that I revised it to specify a little more. I think the ability to control 10 printers is an impressive feature so I shifted it to focus more on that and sound less like the thing only costs 6 bucks. Can't learn if you don't make mistakes I suppose!
I apologize; I was merely pointing out the accomplishment that this one device can control 10 machines. There were others that pointed out this misdirection so I changed the thumbnail to "$6 per printer" in an attempt to clear that up while highlighting the multi-printer connection - which I believe is the most impressive feature of the thing! Not my intention but I am still figuring out how to best present content in a clear entertaining way that brings value. I appreciate you hanging around!

@KeoPrints hey, at least you're in the game. Anything done on the field is better than doing nothing from the benches. Forgive the sport analogy.
Yea if you watch my first AMS filament dryer mod video, I kind of talk about how I am working on just doing and revising instead of letting analysis paralysis kill my ambitions. So deep, so intellectual for sure
I really want this for my A1, but I don’t know if I can plug it into the wall to charge the screen.
You sure can! It does come with a usb-c cable but you'll need a power supply to make it work.
@@KeoPrints Do you think an Apple charger would work?
I don’t see why not
@@KeoPrints Awesome I think I’ll buy this soon. Thank you very much for helping!
Is there anyway to show the model that’s printing on the screen itself?
I believe by sending as .3mf it will show the model. As opposed to using just gcode

Good to see the TPU Kory still hanging around. Such a good quality print

Yes fair point and good to bring up. They mention it on the product page as well but good information to have up front
I have a X1 Carbon. I almost never touch the screen. It's mostly just a dark square on my printer that never lights up.
Haha that is such an excellent way to put it. Do you have an AMS as well? You just use the app mostly then?

One big oversight is that it will not display the model of the file that is printing.

If you have more than one P1s this would be handy, i just use my tablet or phone or my computer. I rarely use the p1s interfacescreen
I use it in concert with my three A1 minis as well when moving filament around the room but a line of P1S's is really where this thing would shine
