I am sure that people have fixed that problem to tilt the screen I have seen people mount the panda big tree tech screen different ways, you can even 3d print the parts. Also I believe that bambu labs won't release software that prevents 3rd party upgrades since they haven't been releasing any upgrades to there products. If anything I would not be surprised if the panda upgrades are from bambu labs just under another company name. Most likely the next p1 model will have a touch screen. Plus they would rather that there be more upgrades for there products it means more sales for bambu labs, and it allows there customers to be more satisfied with their products. Especially when your able to customize your own 3d printer. Also another alternative to this is using a Raspberry Pi.

Thank you for this 🤘🤘 I won a Panda Revo and they forget to send it. Now they're including a Panda Touch, so this was great to see!

Hey Bryan, I bpught the Qidi Q1 Pro based on your review. Coming from an original Ender 3, this was quite an upgrade. I finall got the moon globe lamp to print and the smile on my 8yr old little cousin's face when he got it made the purchase worth the price. I figured out the hyperlapse and will print my first TPU model soon. Thank you.

I'd love to find a holder that rompletely replaces the stock screen by this. I found my P1S still works without the original display.

There are a bunch on MakerWorld. I printed a desktop mount as an experiment, and also one that snaps onto the side of the built-in screen. I didn't look for one that fully replaces the built-in screen, but I did see a couple that mount over the top of it, and will fold up and out of the way to allow access to the built-in one if needed.

I gotta wonder why BambuLab doesn't just sell a display upgrade, since that's the main complaint? Surely no one is taking the leap up to the x1c just for the display, right? They could probably charge up to $99 for it, which should give it a decent profit margin. Maybe once the p1s successor is here, and assuming it has a touch screen, they could have an upgrade kit. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I appreciate the video Bryan!

Hey Bryan. I loved the video and it confirms all that I also observed about my Panda Touch unit, so great minds... Another thing I tested was the Panda Jet for the last few weeks and that was a real improvement in my case, maybe something that you can double check and let everyone know if true.

The Panda touch is great, but it blows my mind that they don't have a folder system to organize print files.

It is cool and a great idea but because the recently printed models don't show up I would have returned it. If you look on their site and on the webpage selling it make it seem like that is the case. Sure it's my fault I din't look into it further.

Almost stopped watching if there was no duck. I wouldn't use this much myself. Do everything in app and keep open or use my phone with limited features. Great looking product though. Great if you a Bambu farm. Ive got a P1P and A1 unit myself so unless I can control my A1 as well I personally will skip... for now. Hope to see more from BTT with BambuLabs

I'm pretty sure you can control whatever Bambu printer you have on your network. I saw Bryan's A1 Mini and X1 Carbon next to the P1S at the 6:15 mark, during the network scan function.

The attachment to the printer is the only physical weak selling point of the Panda Touch. Kinda flimsy. I just haven’t got around to printing a better mount.

    • @BV3D

After I saw your comment, I looked and found about a dozen of them on Bambu Lab's MakerWorld site. I printed one that snaps onto the built-in screen and holds the Panda Touch off to the right. It almost but not quite fits where I have my printer stashed. So I printed a different one that's more of a desk stand, and that one's working pretty well. Thanks for reminding me to look!

Before getting my P1S I was sure I needed this. Now that I got the printer for about 5 days I don’t see the point anymore. I only used the screen on the printer for initial setup and never looked at it again...

Sounds like that’s the reason right there :) Seems best if the original display can be removed
My Bambu arrives next week, so I don’t know, but it seems like re-printing files on the printer, loading different materials, or changing fan/temperature/speed while running would be three things I’d want a touchscreen for

Watch out, the screen is now blocked by bambu on their latest Beta fw, at least for my P1S... they say it still work if you use LAN only mode but if you plan on using with with Handy app forget it, it will not work!!! New beta fw 1.05.04.07
EDIT: Is partially working again in build 1.06.00.00, on my P1S

@@BV3D Hey Brian. This is not accurate. We will be implementing Cloud based MQTT in our next firmware which will allow the Panda Touch to continue to function as normal. We have alpha firmware being tested at the moment and will launch a public beta near to the end of this week or the start of next.

Hi mate, so did I hear you correctly, you can’t send a file via WiFi to the panda?

    • @BV3D
      @BV3D  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Hi. That's correct. Well, mostly correct. You can send a firmware update file to the Panda Touch over WiFi, but you can't send a file for printing. Instead, use Bambu Studio to send the file over WiFi to the printer (as per usua). The Panda Touch is able to display information about the print in progress whether that print came from a USB flash drive plugged into the Panda Touch, or whether it came over WiFi to the printer from Bambu Studio.

Hey Bryan, just got a P1P, following on the heels of the A1 mini I've had a couple months. while puzzling over the downgraded GUI and features of the "better" printer, I found this review. looks like a nice work around, I may get one, but I'm not seeing it fully solving my p1p issues. Refering to marginal data card port, the only way to get files to the printer for me, so either the P1P port has to remain in use, or the Panda provides a fully configured port, or its a nice oddity.
oh, btw, saying its all easy peasy to install, just need the code. which is way over there in the tiny screen we are trying to replace. no mention of which sub menu or any other pearls, just a hard segue into a feedback pitch.(6:30)
