If You Aren't Storing Your Filament Like This, You’re Doing It Wrong
Did you... Level it??? Edit: there you go. Exactly. I have honestly not much experience but all I'd do is just relevel. Pretty much any problem with a printer is gonna be one of: bed temp/adhesion, OR bed leveling. Elephant feet is caused by those VERY few things.
Invaluable!
Woah woah woah… how did you get your hands on PETG from tangled???? I need to know
Very helpful!
Best place for comment
After owning the Kobra 3 combo I can confirm they are legit lying to us about it being anywhere close to a bamboo. It’s a jeweled up kobra2pro at best.
The extrudes diagram its AI made, its very clear.
You have my subscription! Awesome overview!
Happy to hear it!
Great presentation style.the machine does what it says and does it well. Issue we have is it only works for a single user, cant be "bound" to more than one user account at a time. Need to set up a fake email and bambu account to share the printer and features of the associated apps; studio, handy, lab and maker world.
Thanks for commenting! That is a bummer that only one user can be bound to the device. The fact that you need to be logged in in general is a hard sell for most. But you are right. The ecosystem they have created makes it very convenient to find and print models
Wise man once said, the hardest part of a perpetual motion machine is hiding the battery. In the case of filament recyclers, the hardest part is hiding the other spool of full filament. You can't recycle plastic by simply re-melting it. That's not how physics works. Work hardening is a thing.
If your first layer suck - throw away that chinese crap and buy a decent printer like Prusa or build Voron.
The PLA support filament also Dissolves in water
It didn’t help that the likes of Uncle Jesse started flaming this as a scam. They need to be given a chance
You’re right but it’s also good to be skeptical. I think being open minded and cautiously optimistic is a good idea as long as you consider the facts and the risks. I’m really hoping this turns out well
I love how your hair changes throughout the video :) As printers get better or different, so does your hair. You are the best Adam! Keep inspiring and motivating the world of 3D printing.
What a legend this dude is… whoever you are
Had to throw in the K2 comment at the end...My Guy, how I love to challenge you.
K2… more like K dumb am I right? Got you good
AMS systems are not met to work well with multi materials like these. The ideal printer would be an IDEX or something like a prusa XL.
Yea those setups do better for this kind of thing for sure. That said, the single extruder setup did surprisingly well all things considered. Just not nearly as efficient
@KeoPrints i print alot of pla with petg supports on my xl, and i love the clean overhangs.
Hey. New subscriber here. Could you do a short video on what (if any) final prep. you do on prints before you ship them? Do you do any sanding, etc.? Thanks!
Here you go! th-cam.com/users/shortsCrAC50C__cQ?feature=share
Legal stuff aside. Bambu has waited too long. By the time this is actually available other companies will be getting their 2026 lines ready.
That very well could be the case
@KeoPrints I just need a larger format printer. I'd like it to be a bambu, but every week that passes is closer to something else, sv08, the new ender 5 max, k2, kobra 3 max.. Something so I don't have to chop everything up. My x1/p1s are great for functional things of reasonable size. But I would like less post processing solely due to the size of a print.
Agreed. I would like a large format Bambu. Im currently testing the Qidi Plus 4 and i'm surprised with the quality so that has been a great stop gap in the meantime. But i'm sure if Bambu finally dropped a big printer, it would absolutely blow away expectations somehow. I guess we will have to wait and see!
@@KeoPrints I added the closed loop heater mod to my x1 (mini heater /temp controller/thermistor). Qidi always makes my ears perk up but its the lack of parts /support that stops me
F in chat for FedEx
I learn a lot from you!!!!
I’m happy to hear it
If this new printer is positioned above the X1C, ie with a higher sticker price, I'm really hoping they'll also release a lower tier machine with a cheaper price, kind of like how the P1S is positioned relative to the X1C.
That would be excellent as well. Something more affordable but still retains the new features perhaps?
This pamphlet was leaked in like 2022 - so it’s possible it was delayed that long. But it’s interesting that’s this exact design has been floating around for a long time.
That’s what I’ve heard as well. It’ll be interesting to see what actually comes out in the next few months or however long
Would love to have a Bambu Labs A1 combo. My Ender printers are shot and now out of service as well as my 3d printing service. Bambu Labs are you listening?
Well well well that one is missing from the lineup here. If one was provided, I would sure love to review it!
Take my money. It it's a ruse to cause people to not buy the competition, well, it's causing me to not buy the current bamboo also.
Agreed
It needs to be 350 at least. But I don't expect that from Bambu
@@KeoPrints I just read on Tom's Hardware that the delay may also be because Stratasys is suing them for violating 10 patents. One being the heated bed. omg
That very well could be. Such general patents that everyone uses but they are the ones taking the sales from them. Oh well. We will have to see how it goes
You guys must be weak. My 13 yo lifted mine out of the box no problems
I can confirm. We are weak
I totally want an X1C with all my bones, but I’m trying to hold out for the new flagship model. The A1 Mini absolutely addicted me and I can’t wait!
Not a bad plan. That new thing should be excellent!
Will you be getting the new Kobra S1 combo???
Not sure yet. If we can get one provided then I would happily review it but otherwise, it might have to wait a little. Although I think Paul is looking into the Kobra Max 3 combo so I wouldn’t rule anything out
hi thanks what are you using in the video?
That is the poly dryer from poly maker. Check out the video description for a link if you want more information
@@KeoPrints which CAD did you use? Thank you
Ahh that is OnShape. It’s very well featured for a free browser based program
Very nice. Enjoyed your experience very much.
Happy to hear it!
I ordered something from creality and they sent the wrong thing so they fuxcked up and all they would do to fix it was to tell me to keep what they sent and give me a $5 voucher I told them I didn’t want what u sent me I want what I ordered n they told me that’s all they could do mind you I spent over $400 and not get wtf I ordered absolutely bull sh1t it blew my damn mind
Doesn't like supports.. Too annoying to auto generate so models the supports instead. Yep checks out.
I just care enough about those that would like to print the model that I put aside my hate for a second. This way no matter what slicer settings you’re using, it'll be supported without the need to specify or paint supports. Also I would rather design supports than paint supports or use an object modifier to specify supports. Just a personal preference; not for everyone I understand.
For years I was a Creality and FLSun diehard and no one could tell me different "UNTIL" I got my first Bambu....need I say more :)
I bought another A1 recently and you still get that tool kit - The X1C has never had a tool kit, both my original X1C and my 2024 X1C came with the same Allen keys without a handle
I was so spoiled by the nice little toolkit
I would like it not to be a scam, but the best product you can get today that does this job, the 3Devo composer, costs more than $5000. Every other consumer extruder (or line) I've looked at that costs under $2000 for the full setup has not worked well. If this is real I can't imagine the massive compromises in build quality and material they made to keep the price that low.
It’ll be interesting to see how it shakes out
I have watched all your videos on unboxing and setting up you Bambu printers. This was a nice recap. I have an A1 with AMS Lite and P1s with AMS. Love them both. My first was a Creaility Ender 3 and the next was an Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro. I am a Bambu Lab fan boy of epic dimensions. This 59 year old man has been 'cookoo for cocopuffs' on 3D printing for about 5 years. Thanks fellas!!
Excellent to hear! I am looking forward to that new Bambu machine!
Loooooove my A1 mini and I have a P1S on the way! Truly professional equipment. So easy to use that Helen Keller could do it!
Haha agreed
lol
This video is sorta like "This meeting could have been an email". The new information is a bit sparse if you don't like to watch re-runs.... an hour of it....
I know it but there’s a large portion of my audience that prefers the long format stuff so here we are. I don’t get on YT to watch hour long videos typically but again, there are other people on here that aren’t like me. Thanks for hanging around anyway friend!
>glass >handle with care shipping guy: how about no
Pretty much handle with as little care as possible
One correction, p1s is not rated to do abrasive right out of the box. It comes with a stainless nozzle, not a hardened steel nozzle. The hardened steel nozzle is a 30 dollar upgrade. You also need the hardened extruder gear set. I think that's 20 bucks.
Ahh you’re correct!
First, for the algorithm.
Well done
The loop team didn't invent the maschine itself they just put a case around an open source project (Or atleast it seems that way) The fillament extruder from ARTME 3D has been around for a while and according to David (the inventor of the ARTME one) the Loop version looks surprisingly similar to his, just more fancy. He wrote a whole article on the ARTME website about it, if you are interrested.
I might want to add that it not necessarely a bad product from the get go Davids accusations are based on what he saw in Loops video, wich doesn't mean that Loop actually just took his disign and put a case on it. We won't know until we see the inside of this thing and the inclusion of a inbuilt shredder is a good sign that they might put in some effort on their own. I am still sceptical until we know more, i guess.
Skeptical until I know more is a great place to be given what we’ve seen here. Agreed
Do the printer swap out filament between each material? That seems like it would take a long time to print.
It does and you’re right
As someone that is coming from the early years of Makerbot’s attempts at dual extrusion (difficult, at best), I would be very open to the idea of Bambu doing a dual extrusion machine. I have been very impressed with my X1 carbon machine, so I have a lot of faith in their ability to create a dual extrusion machine.
Agreed. I can imagine they would do well with the implementation
BIG WARNING ON THAT.....BE CAREFUL OF THE THERMISTER WIRES!!!! They are the two little brown wires and are VERY brittle and easy to break.
Good point. Those therm wires are always so tiny on any printer and they’re just begging to break
I am just getting back into 3-D printing again, and really wanted to have a machine like this. But I have been burned, hard-core, by pre-launches like this before. So I am holding off. I may have to pay more later, but I want to see it in production and how it actually works in real life before I put any money into it. I know $100 is not a huge amount to secure a lower cost, but I don’t want to give money to scammers if that’s what it ends up being.
For future reference, when using a hole saw on plastics, run it in reverse and it will give you a nicer cleaner cut as it scrapes the plastic away instead of tearing through it.
Ahh good call. What a helpful comment! Thanks friend!
I use a Sunlu filament dryer but I have 8 AMS units and would prefer they had active dryers incorporated
Agreed. Hoping the new one does
cant speak on any other companies but had only great experience with @qidi
Another one out of the park. Thank you.
You’re a legend for hanging out here friend!
@@KeoPrints lol...your humor keeps drawing me back in.
The loose use of the term humor is not lost on me but im glad it is landing somewhere
I bought a few of these. Love them. Too expensive to buy more than a few but I don’t swap filaments all that often. So the main 4 are in my AMS. Then I have some tpu and abs in a polydryer box which I can do the external feed for.
Agreed on the price point but they are super handy for what they are!
Forgot a little theead sealant to keep them from loosening again
Good old blue locktite
