That was a fine episode Scott, really enjoyed that. So nice that you stop to look at things on the way, not rushing too much, enjoying local hospitality. So glad I have not binge watched. Certainly appreciate the effort you put in making the videos to share, because it’s obviously not for money with the limited views. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey. Many great personal memories brought back in seeing your journey.
Thanks Robert, I was trying to make the walk more of a "holiday" than an endurance challenge hence stops etc. The videos I get pleasure back from sharing the journey knowing like-minded folks get something out of it, and more selfishly I have log to keep the memories
When I started reading this I thought you were going to say "...to walk le jog" not "go to the shops" 😁. Yes it was some trip, beginning to struggle with worn kit towards end, but adds to the memories
Well done Scott, one of the hardest stravaig,s ever done was the Devon coastal path. Sea level to 200 foot rinse and repeat. Young & fit back then, found it hard going. and 50+ Munro,s climed, knackered but happy!
Absolutely fantastic Scott, my favourite episode yet and it's up against some stiff opposition. Some amazing walking and those small villages look so picturesque. It certainly is a beautiful part of the world.
Marvelous! Counting off the miles obviously, but have you been counting the pints of beer also, or would that be telling? Any memorable brews on the whole route? Love this stretch of coastline west of Porlock, also with the Coleridge Way and his little church at Culbone. Seem to remember the cliffs overgrown for miles with rhododendrons which must look stunning in the Spring, though I was there out of season.
I wasn't counting the beers Tony but suspect I could be the first end2ender to finish fatter than at the start. The sections both East and West of Porlock had me buzzing - and that's after weeks of walking- it's that good 👍
@@endorphins479 it's certainly got an atmosphere, maybe because Exmoor is inland and adds to the remoteness. Further on, its all rollercoaster up and downs from cliff to cove so pasties to the rescue! Have a nice weekend.
Thanks Paul it was just a hand-held GoPro Hero8 black that fits into rucksack front pocket for convenience. - honestly the quality of its captures before compression (for uploading) is incredible - it does 4k nicely too but you need a tripod to use that properly as you.lose stabilisation - I'm mostly shooting on the go so use fullHD only (also walk fits on my SD card that way!). It does struggle with low light though

You have just given me the inspiration to get up and go the shops. Putting it off because of the rain. What a fantastic trip you had.😊

Beautiful scenery, tough walking and challenging weather - makes for a memorable few days ! Nice !!!
Inov8 Mudflats 😂😂😂😂
Was beginning to struggle with worn kit and weather but as you say a very memorable part of the walk with so much changing (weather included)!
Excellent stufff Scott, your getting there now and that coastal walk looked stunning . Nice one ..cheers Stevie

I never found it easy either, but was buzzing with adrenaline from the scenery and the weather I think!
I was on the opposite coast, hard work pal.@@endorphins479
Nice 1 again mate 👍
Thanks again Martin!

It certainly is, and so much variety packed in a few short days (flat, hilly, beaches, forest, cliffs, moors, fields...)
Great video, I've walked a little bit of the South West Coast Path in that area and it's stunning. Gutting about the rain cover!
Yes the rain cover! Funny how something fairly trivial becomes such a big deal when you're out there long-distance walking
It certainly does!@@endorphins479

The quality of your visuals is exceptional. What camera did you use on this? Superb series.
