    Great video. I have the same car in Canada. Speed limit here is 100 kph. I drive hard but stay at 110 kph on long trips. 11,000 km lifetime consumption is 152 wh/km. EPA range rating is 394 kms. I'm getting 425 kms with A/C on. I've driven all the models. Model Y RWD is best for me.

    I drove my MY RWD (Chinese built CATL 57.5 kWh) from Wodonga, Victoria (Australia) to Adelaide and back. About 50% of the trip was at 100 km/h, 45% at 110 km/h with the remainder at town speeds. The weather was around 24 degrees and fine, so perfect conditions. Over 2038 km I averaged 158 Wh/km, which is exactly my lifetime figure over 66 000 km. Now, if they can fix the wipers it will be a brilliant car!

    • @Estaarrow
      @Estaarrow 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think Tesla engineers gave up to fix the bugs/errors of wipers since this problem has been existed for long and no matter how many SW update, it did not work/fix, and here (hopefully some magical ) message to reach Mr. Elon Musk/Tesla
      To Mr. Elon Musk, hopefully this message pass to you, you make marvelous Tesla EV, remarkable engineering with re-use rocket from your Space-X, you even want to bring people to Mars 😲, but you and your team cannot even fix the wiper on your "famous" Tesla so it can function/work properly, to be honest, my grand mother Toyota Aygo never has this wiper problem, mama mia, this is a real shame, shame and shame on Tesla. 👎👎👎👎

By far the best is the Y much improved building quality , charges faster as the charging curve is much flatter all the way to 80% and you should, like once a week, charge 100% to keep BMS happy.

    Made mistake in the video title, but interesting video.
    I'm curently saving money and I hope next year I'll get a brand new car (currently driving my old A4 B7 tfsi) and atm. i'm really not sure what should I get... just petrol (I don't want diesels), hybrid or something full electric. And probably the price of the model 3 or model Y will be my max. budget. For electric car I think Tesla will be one of the best choices.. the only thing I don't like in the mod.3 & Y is not having speed gauge in front of you, only on the LCD inf. screen. I don't understand why they don't add head-up display for these cars, especially for this price... even cars like the Toyota Yaris have head-up display, lol. Still thank you for the video, i'll watch it fully!

      There are different LFP batteries, the Model Y SR is available with the older CATL and the newer BYD (only in german made Y SR). The BYD LFP charges better. 25-90% in 20min. NCM needs to be charged from empty to get best speed, also the older CATL LFP. Not with the newer BYD. Battery tech is evolving.

    How much cost one full charge supercharger?

    • @richardpetek712
      @richardpetek712 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The price is roughly 0,40 Euro per kWh. Assuming that one full charge is 50 kWh, it's 20 Eur.
      If one leg is 300 km, that's about 6,70 Eur / 100 km, give or take.
      Not bad for driving an SUV / crossover at 120-130 km/h.
      The car was empty, but since additional weight only affects the rolling resistance and not drag, in a car which weighs 2 tons even with a fully loaded car it would barely make any difference.

    Hehe, frumos clipul... te asteptam in comunitatea electromobilitate :)
    In opinia mea, cred ca ar trebui sa te orientezi catre Rompetrol-urile de pe autostrada (Șagu, Giarmata, Recaș), in functie de directia catre care te indrepti. Avantajul va fi ca nu mai stai in traficul din Timisoara, cu dezavantajul ca ai nevoie sa incarci la Renovatio (aplicatie + blocare bani in wallet).
    30:49 - Din experienta mea, exista varianta de a ocoli putin pentru a trece granita la PTF Turnu (e mai liber). Poti iesit pe Arad-Vest urmand sa iesi pe M43 pe la Csanadpalota.
    35:12 - Din experienta mea de pana acum, mai e si vantul din fata (de cele mai multe ori)
    40:57 - Am facut Germering, DE - OMV Blindenmarkt in Kona (315 km parca) pe intervalul 80%-10% la 120 km viteza pe cruise-ul adaptiv. In mod normal cred ca ajungi destul de safe.

      Totodata, in comentariul principal am adaugat sugestia de ruta ocolitoare prin PTF Turnu, insa cred ca, fiind deja in Timisoara, mai aveai si varianta PTF Cenad.

I am just thinking about the extra consumption of resources plus is it true that they have some bad accidents or is everyone a perfect and responsible driver? I live in California which is a very big state. I remember when the speed was set lower after the oil embargo in the mid 1970's and gas mileage was so much better when we drove slower. Cruising at 120mph is fine and save and quiet. But that impossible on 99% of the roads, speed limits and traffic does not allow. People are used to drive at higher speeds, roads and cars and made for this. But most of the time speed limits are 120kph and less.

    • @BlazingsNL
      @BlazingsNL ปีที่แล้ว +4

      German autobahn is actually one of the safest highways, despite the parts with unlimited speed. People also have to get lessons and pass a strict exam before they can get their drivers license. It's completely different from the US where you practice with a family member in a parking lot and then just ask for an exam to get your license.
      Cars in the EU are by default a lot more fuel economic compared to the heavy SUV/trucks in the US who tend to have a V6 or V8 under the hood.

    • @karla6999

      Generell speed limit would be a life threatening issue for some Germans, looks like some think the world would come to an end, if someone would take away their licence to speed as they like on the Autobahn🙄

    I enjoyed the video, but the charging experience wasn't very realistic.
    Charging sessions above 20-25 minutes on a road trip are hardly necessary, let alone charging the battery to 100%. It's just a waste of time.
    You should be able to reach another charger by charging for these 20-25 minutes easily. And that means the 3h streches with barely making it with 5-10% is also not necessary.
    The car will base it's charging route on the previous behaviour, so it can definitely be optimized

    Nice road trip.
    Next time, I suggest that you *use A Better Routeplanner.* It will advise you to make shorter legs, there is no need to make legs which are almost 300 km long - and charging for an hour to 99%. It's a colossal waste of time.
    Never ever charge to more than 90% unless your life depends on it. _Which it never does._
    In a Tesla, no charging stop should take more than 30 minutes. If it does, you are doing something wrong, which means, you should aim for a Supercharger which is closer.
    Not to mention - arriving with 30% means that your previous charge was waaay too long. You should aim for 10%-20%, not more. You know the consumption is about 20 kWh/100 km (or less), the rest is merely simple napkin-math.
    And please - *you are charging with an X amount of kilowatts, not kilowatt-hours.* The first one is a charging speed, the second is the amount of energy. You, as an Tesla owner *and* TH-camr should know the difference. They are NOT the same!

      I try but it was an error at the Supercharger in Timisoara 😪Seems like it won’t want to calculate with it.

    Sorry, this has nothing to do with your video. Dan, my grandfather was from Romania, but he would never talk about his life so we don’t know where he lived. He was born in 1884 and came to the USA in the early 1900’s.

      Wow that sounds interesting. Romania at that time was pretty different than now. You should come one day to visit it. To see where your father was born.

      My grandfather had no possibility to get ahead. The USA was the New World where one could make enough money to survive. Unfortunately the Holocaust killed everyone that couldn't get out, except for two of his brothers that moved to Palestine in the 1930's. @@SDADanCars

      No need to do calculations in an EV if you don't want to. Just drive and relax. And save money too. And no need to worry about oil changes, or mufflers or transmissions, etc. Or ever again visiting a smelly a gas/petrol station. And as for "refueling," that's getting better on the road too every week as more chargers are installed. But mostly I don't care about this because I happen to have a really cheap charger right in my house. Talk about amazing coincidences! They call it an outlet and it fills my EV every night while I sleep, for less than half the price of gas!
