100% agree. Box jumps are also great to supplement kicking power or more explosive takedowns, and bent over rows or any upper back exercises are great for arts that use pulling motion like grappling. Explosive one are push-ups are great for training shoulders and the core muscles crucial for punching, but be careful with that one. It’s super easy to screw up your shoulders.
Nat , I can't do pull-ups yet , but I want to learn how do I start learning it ? Or do I have to learn to do normal push-ups before I can do pull-ups ? Or do not learn? Will it be too dangerous? 😅 ( But it seems to be safer to go to the gym to practice 🙁 ) Last time I watched a long video of Nat doing pull-ups ( challenging the US Marine Corps ) I thought it was great ☺️👍 But be careful , I think that equipment is a bit dangerous , it seems easy to break 🥴😅
Hello ! I am a french beginner in martial art and i love your vids so far ! I ve practiced some martial art when i was younger such as judo, krav maga, systema and some basic boxing technique. Actually i would like to practice more boxing but idk what sport takes ? Kick boxing and MMA are in my thought :) Since, im in diet (have been in moderate obesity for a long Time) and do a lot of musculation and some shadow boxing (with a équilibrate alimentation OFC) So my questions are what other musculation exercice should i go beside pull up cuz i cant do even One for now hehe Thanks for Reading this and sorry for this long sentence !
To me, Pushups and Boxing are the Best Workouts ever. If not the best, Some of the best. Despite me being a 13 year old teenager, I perform more than 10-15 pushups and I box a lot Excessively.
If u do a couple hundred push-ups, a couple dozen pull-ups, and some bodyweight core work like Russian twists, or leg raises, or crunches, ect. And then u have to train legs.
If you don't have a pull up bar you can lie on your back and angle your elbows down and slightly out like if you were at the top of a pull up, then push off the ground with your elbows to do a backwards pushup. It's not the same but it's comparible and works the upper back.
Y’all gotta focus on stability, mobility, and flexibility, forget the ego numbers, I’ve gotten a pretty nice and strong body just off intense body workouts, also isometrics, focus on perfect form, as any martial artist would
Hey Nat ,I have a question .As a karate practitioner,is it a good idea to go to the gym and do martial arts or shall I just rely only on body weight exercises such push ups ,squats ,sit ups and lunges ? What will be your advice on this ?
Why are calisthenics always prioritized in martial arts? Is it because free weights might possibly cause stiffness? Is it because of calisthenics’ close relationship with core and cardiovascular strength? I always personally wanted to know. Thank you I love your videos!
Nat is so strong! He doesn't need the bar to do pull ups.
He’s like Baki he just sends the bar flying because of his overwhelming strength
Nah he's pushing the air above with enough strength to push the Earth down
Pull up bars are for the weak
He pulls the atmosphere down and pinwheel kicks it straight to hell.

My man did pull ups without a pull up bar.. Huge *RESPECT*
Takes a lot of strength💪
What do you expect? He is Nat, super cool and strong.

Thank you Sensei Nathaniel.
You’re welcome👊
Also any shoulder-related exercise + any core strengthening ones
Yes definitely👍
Push Ups are for pushing strength
Squats are for leg strength
Pull Ups are for pulling strength
Correct👍
Calisthenics and High Reps are the Answer
@@josephsale6254lower reps heavier weight=strength
Bro is pulling the pull up baar instead of his body 🤣🗿
Cardio like running, swimming or treadmill also good for your breath too as a martial artist

You should add shadowboxing. It has good cardio and sharpens up your skills.
Especially with weights
If you want to do these Exercises in Martial Artist Version:
-Knuckle or Explosive Push-Ups
-L-Sit Pull-Ups
-(Jump) Squat kicks
Any problem if I do
Chinups
Pushups
And squads
Burpees are really good too, and imo the most fun to do.
Love with from Türkiye man

love ur stuff , so versatile 🥊 keep it up
Thank you I really appreciate that👊
What kinds of stretches should you do for martial arts?
That hoodie has a fine color and it suits you very well. Best wishes brother 🙏
If you apply explosiveness in these exercises they're even better (if you're doing martial arts)
Yeah I agree🤝
Kettle bell swings are great to. If done correctly you’ll increase your endurance and power at the same time.

Try researching the progressions, some stuff to train are dead hangs, scapular raises, and negative pull ups, check hybrid calisthenics’s video on it
Most gyms have an assisted pull-up machine that would be perfect for you to try👍
Im practicing kicks rn squats are quite hard but truly helping
Leg raises pull ups push ups planks squats jogging and that will cocer everything in terms of trainning
I don’t have a pull up bar, but there was a curtain bar in the bathroom, after around 4-5 pulls, I fell, the bar broke
Man literally feel ya. I haven't got a pull up bar either😢
These are all good!💪
💪💪
thanks for that 💪

I do alot calisthenics but its fun and i got crazy strength.

#4 a reminder : make a series about teaching Karate lessons for mma a-z
Bro can you show some exercises for breath and resistance in kumite
Make a detailed video on calisthenics workout split for Martial arts.
A Murph is a really great workout for Martial Artists!
the only resistance exercises i do are weighted dips, weighted pull ups, bulgarian split squats, and I'll squeeze some isolations for the aesthetics.
Bench press is good too
Thank you
You’re welcome👊
Whenever Nat does pullups he pulls the Earth itself

My man did the infamous no handed pull up

I love pull ups, your back muscle plays a very important role in stroking strength
Agreed👍
Stroking strength 🤭😏
Ayo? 💀
Don’t forget planks sit-ups banana and Superman, great core exercises
If u do a couple hundred push-ups, a couple dozen pull-ups, and some bodyweight core work like Russian twists, or leg raises, or crunches, ect. And then u have to train legs.
I do dips in place of push ups. After a certain point push ups become less abt strength and more abt indurance
Nice, dips are great too👍
I think its important to build some core
Deadlift, bridge, leg raise, birddog
My man is pulling down gravity
💪 Very good bro Very good
Thanks bro🤝
