Can you use Clear Windex instead? Don't look like your decal should have been applied on wet though some decals can be done like this. I will have to decide how I want to apply mine on the passenger side of my new truck bed when I get it. But I'm glad you realized that some decals don't use the wet method though I most certainly like the wet method.
Depends on what type of decal I’m working with. Could be a tacky solution with alcohol and distiled water or baby soap and distiled water. Or a mixture of both. Example when I put clear bra I use this solution. I have some videos on my channel for clear bra on cars and also tints. But never use windex

Windex contain amonia which is bad for paint and decals. Soap and water is best. I love the wet method. Less chance of error
