As a smash player, i rather just play fortnite. I find fn to be difficult, but yet easier than gunz: you not constantly doing tricks in fortnite so you can relax there sometime: especially when you got 0 mats.
@@aveen1968 I got confused. IF that is a question, then the answer is yes. But that's my problem with it. When i first started playing gunz when i was young(I'm 30 now), in my time, everybody knew what it was, but none knew about the k-style and all those tricks. When the exploits became known, i'm sure that's when people started leaving. I never witnessed k-style during my gameplay, but from what i can see, you can beat the whole lobby on your own without dying to someone who abuses exploits. That's the problem with gunz: the skill gap is way too high. Also, i blame gunz 1 vets for the death of gunz 2 has gunz 2 was great in today'S standard, but since it was considered too easy by the vets, they kinda give gunz 2 a bad name. I mean, if we had them playng gunz 2, i'm sure everybody would be playing gunz 2 again, but instead, we are separated. Fortnite on the other hand, it's barely exploitable. The game was just supposed to be a survival game against purple zombies, but now, all we are doing is trying as hard as we can to be good with the tools that we have been given. There's really no exploits except a very few like phasing through building, and exploitable items that are often vaulted like the crash-pad and impulse grenade that can both be used to get into somebody's box instantly.
Have you ever thought of doing an APM test during your play? Pretty sure gunz has the highest apm of ANY game out there. This guy was clocked in at 757 APM not including mouse movement (which would probably put it up in the 900 range breaking the starcraft world record) th-cam.com/video/LzWxJ-8zWSk/w-d-xo.html
I've done it, I'd say normal APM is between 450 and 750, depending on if you're counting time reloading, and how fast the player is. I'm normally around 600 when I'm in combat. Counting APM is completely arbitrary and mostly pointless, but as far as I'm aware, GunZ is the 2nd highest APM game that I know of, with Knight Online being the highest. KOL is an MMO with no global cooldown, meaning everything is on a separate CD, and it even has moves with no cooldown at all. It also has some movement cancels to increase your attack/cast/move speed. It's a really weird game... You use both hands on the keyboard to push more buttons at times while playing, and many people cheat with macros and/or foot pedals to allow them to push more buttons more easily. Apparently it's like the national E-sport of turkey or something? Super weird and mediocre game that's nowhere near as good as GunZ, but if you wanted to see what it looked like, here's a handcam vid of some tech in KOL th-cam.com/video/bLgnDPcdJKU/w-d-xo.html
back in the day i had the rudimentary method of clicking ‘exit’ which starts a 5 second countdown and then doing as many of a move as i could I dont remember most but i distinctly remember 13 single butterflies, which are coincidentally 5 buttons a pop - so it re-averages down to 13 buttons / second. If you kept doing actions at exactly that rate constantly, it’d be 780 APM You probably wouldn’t do that for a whole minute; there’ll be times where you’re reloading or just waiting slightly for something - but also, people are probably closer to frame-perfect speeds now than they were 10 years ago so maybe that would balance out the slower beats
Holy shit, as someone who played gunz for years I didn't expect to find anything new, but totally didn't know about the massives bypassing differently depending on ground and sky block and I always thought it was the same. As someone who played gunz on a very high level I have to say this is a great video my dude, very rare to see people show the right techniques and even having the correct names. Hope you had fun learning the timing on tbf :) * I might wanna add a little tip for people that wanna get better at slash/block timing: Go to the map town, there's a ledge with a health pickup. If you slash off the edge just right you can get into a static "falling" position. This way you can just slash and block all you want without having to jump. Perfect for learning the timing for some moves.
gunz is a great great game but naraka exists which is a true successor to this autism. You have the weapon switches and the movement and the combos and even the parry clank I'm sure is inspired by gunz
Love it when games have hidden high level unintended skill gaps. Games like Breaker's Revenge Extra Mode are also filled with broken tech as well. They don't make'em like these any more, LOL.
Hmm gunz is very boring with watcher who are not hardcore! When normal player watch the hardcore playing, they dont even know what happen. Example, when they shot, switch to melee, shot again too fast, others cant see the gun but the bullet still there and kill!
I sunk about 7 years of my life into this game when I was a kid. I'm super stoked to see it coming back now, and even moreso that Freestyle is still up and running after all this time. Reinstalling now! :)
i played the shit out of this game about 16 years ago and i didn't know half this shit existed. i don't think massives were in the game at that time but i could be wrong.
Nostalgia, have a unhealthy amount of hours played on this game. Loved it and I was really good at it. Going to play it just to see how I cant do anything I used to be able to and feel like a boomer.
So uh does this SHOOTER require mechanical skill in the form of... aiming? Or do you just press button combinations to compensate for lack of aim? Wait isn’t that why there are fighting games? I’m confused. Lol

I used to play back in the day but i'm super interested in getting back into it. What's the best service option for a NA player? Like, which website/client are most people playing on?
The movement in this game is insane I really wish they could redo this but with better graphics. Like nothing needs to change just the graphics and the animation of the movements. This has literally everything I want in fps games.
Try Gunz 2 on steam but never tried it. I'm loyal to the OG ones.
@@ZidaxGaming how do you play the old version?
I felt Freedom when I played this game!
@@engineeredtruths8935 search up "Fgunz " if you still want to play i just got into it, some newbies but mostly pros its not that bad. I got smashed for 1-2 hours but after that i beat a person who played for 15 years in a sword gladiator match. I still cant use any of the gun moves but 60% of the sword moves.. ive been playing 4 days btw
Seeing all this GunZ content popping up does bring joy to me, even though my appreciation for the game is mild at best
this game is insanity holy shit. i wanna learn
do it
I like how you progressively say this is hard then "this is getting pretty advanced are you really gonna learn this" to "idk google it or something"
As someone who played gunz on a very high level I have to say this is a great video my dude, very rare to see people show the right techniques and even having the correct names.
Hope you had fun learning the timing on tbf :)
* I might wanna add a little tip for people that wanna get better at slash/block timing:
Go to the map town, there's a ledge with a health pickup.
If you slash off the edge just right you can get into a static "falling" position.
This way you can just slash and block all you want without having to jump. Perfect for learning the timing for some moves.
gunz is a great great game but naraka exists which is a true successor to this autism. You have the weapon switches and the movement and the combos and even the parry clank I'm sure is inspired by gunz
nice viddeoooo
Very good, Man. I'm a very experiente player and there was a detail that've learned. Thx for the video, good Job
Love it when games have hidden high level unintended skill gaps. Games like Breaker's Revenge Extra Mode are also filled with broken tech as well. They don't make'em like these any more, LOL.
Gunz servers: Universe Gunz: pros play there, Freetsyle gunz: updated but doesn't feel like original. i I Gunz: seems pretty good but lower pop
sheesh 100k views...
BRING BACK THE SERVERS
ah yes... GunZ ... flashbacks to the days of carpal-tunnel and future arthritis in the making loll
Btw you've got many of these moves names wrong. Insta sword = fruitbasket for example
After 11 years, I still can't do reload slash shot or forbidden step
Rodriguez David Wilson Mark Lee Helen
Hmm gunz is very boring with watcher who are not hardcore! When normal player watch the hardcore playing, they dont even know what happen.
Example, when they shot, switch to melee, shot again too fast, others cant see the gun but the bullet still there and kill!
Triple isn't that dificult, quadruple and quintiple butterfly are luckbased
Gunz was the one other game that was basically just as demanding its beautiful
ill tell you one thing my brain fucking hurts but I'm gonna try to learn this shit
Where can I play this? I used to play Ijji gunz, love to get back to it
I feel like maybe if you like this you're just better off getting into UT or Quake or something, but those games are basically dying too so idk.
Why is there a tutorial for this game in 2021? What's going on is it back please I haven't seen light in decades
If any of you want another fun "tech shooter" check out ULTRAKILL.
i miss this game my mother is mad at me when i break the keyboard and deleted the game
Can't wait for the esports events
I sunk about 7 years of my life into this game when I was a kid. I'm super stoked to see it coming back now, and even moreso that Freestyle is still up and running after all this time. Reinstalling now! :)
Same here bro 10k+ hours in this game XD
No way this game coming back? I see this video and its 2021.
Played this game for an hour the other night after about 10 years or something. Pretty sure I need carpal tunnel surgery now.
i played the shit out of this game about 16 years ago and i didn't know half this shit existed. i don't think massives were in the game at that time but i could be wrong.
it was way too hard pvp'ing as an 11 year old in this game, so i stuck to questing lol. Might learn some basic tech skills for fun now.
i still like the questing XD
Lmao i played this game a few yeasr back and i learned some stuff in this video LOL
Lol
It does require aiming skill in addition to all the tech.
uh i got a question im new to the gunz community does anybody know how to make your textures look like clay? or look really bad?
Triple battlefly is impossible! how can you do this
suddenly my recommendation is filled with Gunz.
How can I have infinite bullets??? How they are name as?
This is the first time I’ve ever seen this game and I’m loving this
flash stepping is more the dash dancing
what private server is everyone playing this on? Fgunz ??
monitor you suggested not available, what should i buy
