Oh-boy😖...I think I have this issue, found out today. Not leaking on the floor but foggy windows, and a slight coolant smell through the vents when heater on....looks like a real pain in the asterisk 😬.
I looked everywhere and I couldn't find any references. I assume these videos are the closest you could get. I've always been pretty good at taking cars apart and getting them reassembled, so I was just winging this. Thanks for the compliment!
@@ktecgarageoh I see! It's just that you mentioned a manual/instructions a few times particularly regarding the 14 dash bolts. I was wondering if that drawing was from a manual or something. No worries if not though, the video you've provided is more than useful enough
Hey where was it getting wet at? I’m trying to figure out a drivers side water leak on my 2001 CRV. Removed carpet and dumped water on roof and window and is still dry. Previously found a leak from the hood cable gasket in the fender area but the new gasket is holding up. I thought about the heater core but then my passenger would be wet? It is not
This one was wet in the passenger floor board. Look where your water lines run into the firewall in the engine compartment to see where the heater core is on that model. Do you have a sunroof? Those drains can clog and get the carpets wet. Good luck!
Super job description Sir. I see that you were NOT telling lies with your banner! I am sweating thinking about it here in Carolina in August. Thanks for the “heads UP”🙏🏻 I will report back with my new knuckle abrasions😂🤣
@@ktecgarage I looked into your channel more and realized you are in my wavelength. Mine is a baby 260k still running great. Give me a sub pls. I have been stuck on 32 for a while. I will be referring to your channel quite a few times it looks. (you sounded like a neighbor of mine, kinda thought you may be close) CLT✌🏼
Just did this to my Honda now my locks don't work and my passenger windows don't work. Any suggestions would much appreciate it. Knuckles are beatn up. Would appreciate any info comrad
Woukd this video work replacing a 97-98 heater core. Just paid 1100 for a Honda civic had it 3 days and it started leaking antifreeze inside the car and under it
Just an idea but add the year of the vehicle your working on. It'll save the rest of us time thats wasted watching the wrong video. Good video for the exact model you are working on though.
What I showed. It's a lot of work and these are the only videos on TH-cam with this much detail. That's why I made them. Sorry, man. Honda made this a tough one to tackle.
@ktecgarage excuse me sir, is the honda civic si 2009 thebsame process? It's winter here in Canada and my mecanic already charge me 400$ to check all my collant hoses. And he went to the conclusion to tell i have to change my heater core. And wanted to charge me 1500... so i wanna try to do it myself... i wonder if it the same process
It is probably harder to get to the heater core in newer cars. You could try running radiator stop leak through the system. But yes, you would probably have to remove the whole dash.
More free knowledge for my car! Thank you
Thank you for stopping by and commenting!

Great video. Thanks and blessings to you.
Thanks man. You have convinced me that I am doing doing this shit.
It's a chore! You just have to have the balls to yank it all out. Good luck!
Bout to tackle this today😂wish me luck lmao
Ugh. This job may have given me PTSD! Lots of luck!
Excellent video! What documentation are you using for this job? Would be excellent to have a reference.

Oh. I see. I have the Hanes manual for that car. Showing the bolt locations was about as far as it went.
@@ktecgarage oh perfect, thanks very much anyway!
and here i am wanting to WILLINGLY switch to a black interior and this is well part of it haha
but amazing video nonetheless
Thanks! If you go for it, take lots of pictures. Good luck!

Off the top of my head, check fuses and connections. Don't forget the under hood fuses. Good luck!

Be helpful to have the year/generation of accord in the title. :) this is a 2000, about 6 years too new for me haha
Thanks again in advance!
..not feeling like doing it , but too far in to quite now🤪.
I can't wait to hear how this went.
Did you end up throwing a match and a gallon of gas on this fix ?
Or did you make it happen ?
@@kaufmankdk 😬...still the same
..I will fix it eventually, is not that bad yet.
You definitely went the long and hard way to remove the dash. Those harness and side panels do not need to be removed.
Whats the best way to do it??? HELP!
