    Having spent hours looking at your excellent tent reviews, this review was a pleasant surprise to stumble across and very useful to visualise how one might actually use the tent and also choose the right size. I'm now off to search all your other non tent videos. Thanks a lot and now I'm thinking it will be worth the long drive to visit you. HH.

    Great video! Always love these kind of videos to give people getting into camping alot more to think about, me and the misses started camping for the first time last year due to our abroad holiday being cancelled and got ourselves a kampa keilder 5 air with the vestibule :) we are already looking to upgrade to the outdoor revolution Kalahari 7.0pc 🤣 we are addicted, it's a shame we can't go and see 1 set up with most places being closed :( our only problem is space in a car, be nice if you done a video of good space saver techniques when packing 😀

    • @User-pp9jg
      @User-pp9jg 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whatever size car you get I can pretty much guarantee it won't be big enough as there is always something else you end up getting to make the camping more comfortable/enjoyable. Traded up my estate for a Transporter Kombi last year and now we can fit everything in and tbh the kit stays in for the summer months so we're good to go at short notice if the forecast looks good etc. Not a cheap upgrade but haven't looked back and have probably gained a few £k in resale value in last 12 months although I love the vehicle and wouldn't sell it anyway :-)

      I'm guessing you will need a rooftop cargo carrier also. For sure an SUV or van to start out with. I doubt you can fit the tent into a sedan at all.

    I'm curious. Once you have the carpet, skyliner, sky lights set up, can you roll up the tent with all those items still in there or do you have to take those items out before you roll the tent away?

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the tent is dry and there is no moisture between any of the layers in theory you could roll it all up together but with all these extras in with the tent it is very unlikely it will fit back in the bag.
      Personally I would say the SkyLiner would be fine to leave in place but the carpet and lights would have to be removed.

    You really need a trailer for that level of camping unless you have a van, I have a 1000L trailer with a 680L roof box mounted on the top and a 500L roof box on the car and there is no space left, we have 3 dogs and a kid so there is no space for equipment in the car. Its quite the setup, TV, proper fridge, settees, electric twin cooking hob, we even have a little slow cooker, toilet, wardrobe, the works. You are limited by your imagination when it comes to a tent setup.

    What type of vehicle do you need to carry all of the tent and equipment ?

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would have to be a sizeable one admittedly but the bulkiest item is going to be the tent, after that point space doesn't get eaten up that quickly. A lot of people will have a roof box which is great for things like chairs, sleeping bags, airbeds, and anything that doesn't weigh a great deal. O the other hand having a trailer is probably the best because you can leave all of your equipment in the trailer and just hitch up when you want to have a weekend/week away.

      We have an estate with a roof box. Not got the airtent (yet) but everything fits in. The roof box is a new addition, but still underutilised. Was great for the bags when we actually set everything up

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tent would be about 10-15mins but I would say the accessories would be a bit longer, probably around 20mins. So just over half an hour in total bit it depends how much equipment you have.
