Perhaps one of the best kung fu fight finales, with imaginative use of the 'folding chair' weapons, this is the epic end fight scene from the 1980 Shaw Bros classic 'Return to the 36th Chamber', featuring the incredible Gordon Liu in another classic performance.
The significance of the bamboo scaffolding in this scene is that over the course of the movie, Chu Jen-chieh (Gordon Liu) learned kung fu at the Shaolin Temple by watching and practicing while working on scaffolding.
This is the movie that sparked my love of marital arts.
MARITAL? As in "marriage?
@@foxesruler martial. My bad thanks.
Gordon Liu was truly my favorite martial artist/actor of The 36th Chambers Of Shaolin and Return To The 36th Chambers Of Shaolin! 👍🏿👌🏿👏🏿🏯☯️🫸🏿🤛🏿🙏🏿

I forget to mention he was also in my favorite film of "Shaolin Drunken Monk"
I love how he was warning him that the longer the fight goes, the less he's stops holding back, which a fighting Monk actually does😂
4:35 The background music reminds me of old NFL highlight films with John Facenda.
They stole nfl films music.
Gordon Liu is so overlooked. His hung gar kung fu is awesome!
Good job 💯

Nice fight ❤
소림 36방 78년도에 봤는 기억 나네요 그때는 인기가 최고입니다 👍
Dunno about you guys, but I'll always root for the guy whose weapon is a BENCH
Many southern Kung Fu styles were used by farmers and civilians, so they train with everyday items as weapons.
I imagine having to fight against wooden benches could be harmful to your health.
Seriously 😅
These guys can go from offering you a seat to insisting that you take one.
