Well, Kung Fu was introduced to Shaolin Temple by Bodhidhama, who was a monk from Tamil Nadu. Besides, India itself has it's own martial arts. Kalaripayattu, Silambam, many more. In the north, we have malla-yudha, musti-yuddha and many other weapons styles. So, not surprising at all.

Bruce lee movies are totally boring. Just the production was much better and more expensive. The fights were 0. The next step in martial arts was Jackie Chan. This guys fight scenes and the ones of his team mates are so underrated, mostly because of the comical characters he played. But their fighting scenes were next level. In my opinion Jackie Chans fighting scenes are unreached until this day.
