Man, these old school movies were really a choreographic and cinematic marvel! I would watch 12 hour block marathons when I was a kid! Loved every single minute!
EPIIIIIIICCCC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn ! How is this possible that a fight scene like this is more well choregraphied, more powerful than all others fight scenes we have in blockbusters movies today !?
Back then my family was poor and I never had the chance to watch all these great movies. I only went and sit outside listening to just the sound of it.
Well now you can enjoy watching them as much as you can and see all the movies like these and others too don't worry everything is ok nothing ever stays permanent things change and I hope you the best for you I'm here with you and other like me too enjoy and have fun
YOU KNOW......these old school battle scenes are better than the crap that Hollywood has been putting out for years!!!! They don't make em like this anymore.
This is the stuff my generation spent Saturday afternoons in front of the tv for. We would actually break away from playing outside to spend the next two hours for. Watching martial arts flick like this was worth it.
Flying swordsmen and Invincible Monks. For those of us who grew up during this era outside of the West, this was the Marvel/DC universe of our time. Westerners used to laugh at the ridiculous wire work and "impossible" action back then. But if you just take a look at the spandex underwear wearing comic book super heroes in western films doing martial arts choreography today and you can see the old Wuxia movies of the 70s and 80s were way ahead of their time.
This movie is in my top 10 all time kung fu flicks….8 diagram pole fighter, shaolin vs lama, ninja hunter, shaolin vs wu tang, shaolin intruders, 5 element ninjas, born invincible, disciples of the 36 chambers, legendary weapons of kung fu and invincible armor!!
I know they don't match up to modern day MMA fighters but I think many of those traditional arts are the basis (the progenitor[s]) of MMA today. I used to regard them as Super Heros in my childhood. Love them all, particularly the Venom Gang, Fu Sheng, and David Chang. Peace, Blessings, and Properity Enki Merlin (cool name - I'm from the same [12th] Planet) Lol.
All you punk kids are growing up watching Cobra Kai. Slick production, great acting, etc. When I was a kid we had the original Karate Kid sure, but before that we just had Ninja movies and stuff like this! haha, I still LOVE it.
Kids have to find things the same way we once did though. I didn't immediately find these films, these films eventually found me. I understand what you're trying to say though. Things are indeed very different.
The choregraphy of the fight scene in Masked Avengers, Five Elemental Ninjas is pretty good also as well as Delightful Forest, but there are loads more that are fantastic, I really like the fight scenes with fast swordplay action also, the crap they put out these day's I don't really bother with.....Ahhhh the good old days.
I'm currently watching this movie right now on El Rey tv on June 2, 2019 at 10:18 am. I have to say the choreography of the fight scenes , jumps of long distance(needing wires) or climbing of tall wooden posts ( some vertical/ some horizontal) within the house is as good as the best kung fu movies of today. Incredibly well made movie of 1983.
Shaw Brothers - like The Poison Clan, Rock The World! #fivedeadlyvenoms💜 Love when Drive In M0vie premiered on Saturdays at 3pm with "The Chinatown Kid", w/Alexander Fu Sheng & "Master Killer", w/Gordon Liu back in 1979/80 In NYC! I am actively seeking the Snake (#2), the Scorpion (#3), the Lizard (#5), and of course the Toad (#5). Poison Clan Brother, I can pay you 10,000 tails for any information. Lol. One love Brother. In this period, much of the fight choreography was done by the actors
Stupid. Nonsensical fight choreography without any tether to reality.
Wow that was like three different endings in one! 👍🏾!
The choreography is simply outrageous for its time
This dude puts on his best fight only after their is a knife stuck in his heart. Absolutely impossible, but that's exactly why I watch these movies.
