- At the Commons Scottish Affairs Committee yesterday, Douglas Ross upset SNP MP Pete Wishart and Alan Brown as he questioned witnesses at The Scottish Affairs Committee.
Mr Ross was pushing the witnesses about the 'lies' from the Scottish government over the claim Scotland had 25% of European wind energy.

As soon as someone starts asking difficult questions one of the SNPs invigilators steps in and tries to deflect the difficult questioning, same line that happens over and over again. The Scottish space centre - I can think of a really good use for that!
You should see the blight on the Scottish landscale and the woodland that has been removed to install them. Just travel to any Scottish city from Glasgow there are 1000's of already installed with 1000s more waiting to be installed.
And when the wind doesn't blow, the turbines don't go. What a complete and utter waste of tax payer's money for nothing!

It would appear that the chair,doesn’t want the truth about the misleading of the Scottish people, the Scottish government, and all their partners to come to light. I would suggest that the partners are still happy to work with the SNP because they are being paid very well to do so.

I can see why Pete Wishart kept interupting Douglas Ross.
Mr Ross was obviously getting too close to exposing the truth in a clever and concise way.

Scottish space centre ? Just looked it up Scottish government pledged 9.8 million and it was reported in 2022 that there were already concerns about rapidly increasing costs. Still when you’ve got spare money to throw around, why not a space port.

It’s embarrassing to listen to the chair trying to stop questioning that would appear to me as being totally reasonable. The SNP had previously given forecasts that turned out to have been a little inaccurate, a reasonable person or organisation would hold their hands up and come clean, instead we have the chair of the committee trying to stop this run of questions and get back to the space port, (which has about as much relevance to Scotland as the price of cod off the quay in Arbroath.)

Visit the highlands and see the vast amount of land which has been cleared to accommodate even more on shore wind farms, trees felled, access roads built and new wide roads to the coast to land the barges carrying the pre assembled towers and blades, South of Tongue is like a barren wilderness now with forests felled and not re planted, the topsoil has washed away so it has all been primed for new wind turbines but they got a shock as Westminster will not help fund any new on shore projects only off shore so they have to find private funding or Scottish taxpayer funding to build. If they can find £5 million for Gaza ( Hamas ) then surely no one will notice them milking the system to fund it. £300 million spent on the duelling of the A9 and not a single mile of road laid so who would notice .
It's a shame Mr Ross didn't belong to a party that could actually get elected in Scotland....He seems to be the only one with any common sense and integrity....Scottish Space Centre. ..laughable

What billions are they then? Would it be the money spent on covid? You know the money spent on furlough payments and business support? Or perhaps what was spent on track and trace and vaccines?

What other Billion prior to covid payments have "disappeared " as you so succinctly put. At least that monies spent for covid can be accounted for.
