Dbfz is actually top tier with the ultimates when it comes to visuals, I just wish the VA’s gave as much effort as they did back when they did this game.
Damn, this was my first time seeing it despite playing this a lot as a kid. Bardock would be an absolutely fearsome warrior if he was alive and trained with the other Z fighters up to their level. I'd love to see an official depiction of Goku interacting with him directly and getting to know him, and seeing Bardock react to what his son is like would be so entertaining.
Growing up has a kid playing Budokai 1, 2, & 3. Budokai 3 was truly one of the best Dragon Ball Z games I’ve ever played. The storylines, combo techniques, ultimate finishers, characters. Everything was just perfect.
I would never skip the intro for this game. It was too good to skip. My older brother had this game, and he would let me play it all the time. I haven't played another DBZ since my ps2 days. Had a great childhood thanks to the legend Akira toriyama. Rest In Peace legend 😢
@@Crimson-jf1sl why would he say “Fight Me” right before he ends a fight by blowing himself and everything around him to smithereens? “Bite Me” just sounds more in character for him.
There's a lot of younger folk out there discovering these older games through emulation too. I've seen tons of newer gen kids/adults commenting on videos of things they were born too recently to experience and feeling a sort of "phantom nostalgia" or nostalgia for something never experienced firsthand. That feeling is drawing people to the "vintage" and I think it's been around a while, but only got accelerated and magnified by the internet.
There was so much power behind these attacks, especially with these screams/shouts. Not a single game came close to this... and that's a thing I hated about the "Tenkaichi" games. It doesn't even need to be overly cinematic... I just want to feel the power and anger behind these moves. Today, the beam already reached the enemy while the move is still shouted... it's just so half-hearted. After all these years, I still could cry tears of joy when watching Bardock storming at the enemy.
The explosions from space view...EPIC. one has waves of energy so you know it was effective but not THE final attack. Then the explosion with the earth tearing apart as debris and water fly into space around the blast....fucking perfect
