Since I've been playing much Budokai 3 recently, I thought I could TAS it instead of Infinite World. Truth is: I don't think I'm gonna do this again, since DualTASing B3 is far harder than IW.
Still, I think this match is worth all the time and the effort I spent on it.

This really shows how fucking awesome the old Dbz games used to be. Fighterz is cool but budokai and Tenkaichi made you feel like you were in Z and the multiplayer was competitive, immersive and insanely fun
Fighter z plays more like marvel vs capcom to me. The animation was great but im still craving a dbz game like budokai 3. Kakarot somewhat satisfied that itch haha

I guess in a sense its a little more basic because its just a single player but it has beam struggles and its an enjoying game to play through especially if you’re a dbz fan.

I agree, but the og Budokai games, not that hd collection Bs, because who cares if the og Budokai games had copyrighted music, if the game had an Ost, don't change it, because the bs ost they added to the hd collection didn't go with games at all.

Without a doubt, the GREATEST DBZ game ever made. Dragon Ball Fighterz is dope no question. But this shit right here was insane. Ps2 memories back in the day...
Only nostalgia though, gameplay wise it isn't very good. The characters are WAY unbalanced.

Man this is the first DBZ game that came out that actually looked good and played great. I remember the first time that Broly showed up as a secret character and just how huge he was compared to other characters. Then the ultimate moves that destroyed the stage you were on and the view from space of the explosion. Then you can free roam around and collect dragon balls or fight mini fights and get exp. Or when Uub shows up. Just awesome. It was ahead of it's time and paved the way for Tenkaichi . Great great memories of this game.

I had never seen Broly, Ssj4, or Cooler before when I first played this as a kid. This game was my first impression of them I remember being completely mind fucked when I accidentally unlocked Ssj 4 Gogeta, found out Frieza had a Brother with a fifth form plus terrified and caught off guard when Broly’s massive ass first showed up

I remember my brother and cousin would take turns trying to beat me. They would go about 20 rounds and storm out if the room angry. Man, then were the days.

3:00 the ssj3 ki aura is so sexy in this game. Also gokus voice lines when he transforms "*LETS FINISH IT*" just gets me hyped up
This brings back such warm memories of when I was little and would go over to my friends house during the weekend the day after school, and we would play this.
He would pick Goku and I would pick Vegeta (our favorite characters), and we would start the match by powering up to ssj4 as fast as we could and instantly firing off a signature blast usually entering a beam struggle.
My household couldn’t afford a PlayStation 2 at the time so I wasn’t very good at the game, he would win just about every match (after a similarly sizable fight in my defense), but every now and then I’d channel my inner Vegeta and I would just barely get a win on him. We would joke how It felt just like the tv show, and to me made every match our own extension of the DBZ universe.
This game gave me a core memory that I will cherish forever. Thank you for this video, it has so much value in my eyes.

I lost count how many ps2 controllers i destroyed as a kid from this series 🤣.
I have a very distinct memory of my brother wrecking one, the bottom fell off... Wires and all. Anger turned to laughter!
And a joystick rubber cap coming loose and flying across the room like a pinball!
Spent my childhood playing nothing but this fighting game with a group of five to six other people trying to beat others, so many good memories playing this and kicking their ass, especially as SSj4 Goku or Vegeta, we'd always watch the opening and get pumped up with this soundtrack that's playing, we all watched DBZ during our childhood and would copy the Kamehameha, special beam canon, galick gun, big bang attack and final flash whenever we were playing outside, same goes for trying to do the fusion pose lol.
I think this game made me love SSj4 more than SSj3.
But there was a glitch If you were using Goku or Vegeta or both if you and another friend were playing a 1v1, if you went SSj4, you'd sometimes always end up as a hairless SSj4, same with a white fur colored SSj4 Gogeta.

Still the best DBZ game IMO, the sountrack gameplay and look of the game was totally amazing. Can't wait for Kakarot to release, it's the 1st time I've genuinely been exited for a DBZ game in a long time.

My brother's best character was Vegeta; I mained Goku. We would power up all the way to SS4 then start fighting, and during the clashes you had to enter in commands at the last second because we looked at each other's controller. Good times ☺️.

What's crazy is the amount of characters you can unlock from the storyline and use on the versus mode games nowadays will make them a dlc only
@@RedForeman I don't think the pS2 hardware was really that impressive. It was the least powerful system of the main 3 consoles at the time. It just happened to have a lot of talented developers developing games for a system that was very easy to develop for and they managed to tap into its full potential.

Their battle clouded the entire planet like when shenron is summoned. With each blows they deal to one another cause the earth to shake. Goku and Vegeta are indeed a one of the greatest rival fighters in anime history

Dragon Ball budokai 3 was my first ever dragon ball game and almost my first ever game so i'm always going to love this game
0:10 till this day I still get chills from hearing this, it's so catchy and loveably amazing.
This is why i prefer 3D fighting games over 2D fighting. Just look how nice this looks.

Cool how you cycle through the transformations and made it suspenseful with Vegeta dodging the dragon-fist to live (since that is one of a few defense scenarios that you can live everytime) and Goku surviving by one HP in the dragon rush scenario without killing Vegeta and of course ending it in a beam struggle where Goku wins. Pretty cool with the combos and the teching so no transformations were undone till the final blow.

I have a question. How long can a beam clash last Dr Doppietta? I wonder if it can last forever.
@@Ice_Barrier_Duelist About 5 seconds, just like fighting clashes. After that, the PC will end the clash by letting the player with the upper hand win it.
If both players are even, PC will just do a 50% probability thing and randomly assign victory of the clash to one of them.
