You have put cement on top of a fairly soft ground which may give you problems in the future. I would have gone down lower and added a stone mix and pack it down so its compressed. Then pour cement into place to achieve a tougher foundation.
Great job and very nice choice 👍🏻 the edging blocks work really well with your patio. I’ve done the same thing, but I dug a little deeper and used a hardcore base, then bedded the blocks in with a dry mix of 4:1 sand and cement. Very nice job both 🤘🏻
It’s so great that you and your boyfriend can do the renovations yourselves 🤩 me and my boyfriend could never haha!! Also that time lapse was so satisfying!!! Keep the videos coming we love them! Xx
Love this video, where did you get the edging from? We are currently doing our own patio but still waiting for slabs from b&q. Love this idea though! X
Learnt the hard way got a so call pro to do the job, ended up taking it all up after it started to collapse in and starting over, moral the old if you want something doing.............
It does look diy-ed 😂 Question; is it ok to put in the mortar straight onto the soil? I thought you would need a base of sand first to make sure it sits level?

Hi. How has the brick edging held up after months of walking on...any wobbling yet? Thinking of doing a curved patio with this as edging. 💜🇬🇧👍

Well done babe 🙌

If you fill in dirt and tampered everything flat and you could have used your lever to make sure everything is leveled.
Looks so nice ! X
Do you know the name of this block? I’m trying to find it in Cincinnati
Hi, good job. Looking at doing the same with our lawn.. Where did you get the pavers from?
A local place to us! But they sell them in b&q etc!
It looks good.
Perfect enough for me ... that’s a good job👍

What size pavers or bricks?
You really needed a gravel base. those will eventually start moving but hopefully not. Fun dog.
😂😂 I follow your dog on Instagram and just discovered you! Love a good DIY gal 💕
Thanks for this vid, need to do exactly the same with my patio 👍
It does look diy-ed 😂

I wouldn't use any cement or concrete,If the soil is firm why? I laid all my pavers on sand no problem.
Just for extra strength!
Lovely where did you get the stone elephants from?
They are from next! 🥰
