  • Today we show you a quick and easy way to finish faux brick panels in a way that gives them more dimension and realism and still gives you that brick coloration without being too over the top. As most people buy and paint these panels I wanted to show you how I achieved this super realistic finish without breaking the bank or covering up that brick texture I purchased these panels for.
This hack worked to give us the more industrial finish we wanted in our bus but would also be a great hack to use to finish brick panels for feature walls, home bars and even photo backdrop boards.
And as always we love your comments and questions do please let us know anything you wanna know and we can address it in the next video!
    Products used/needed:
    Kingston Brick Panel
Behr water based wood stain in Walnut
Varathane Polyurethane Spray in Matte Clear
    2" Poly Bristle Stain Brush
    Rags

Staining the brick made a huge difference in the look of it, nice job.

I too am converting a bus and want a brick look for 1 or 2 of the walls. You made those panels look soo much better! I'm impressed!

Easily the best looking faux brick hack I've seen, and it was incredibly easy. Thanks for the share.

Happy to hear it. Sealing them is the most important part though! With water based stains you have to get that seal on to keep the look

The darker mortar line definitely ad some realism.

Love the look with the stain! Do you think it’d be easier to do the stain before putting up the panels or after their already hung?

You could definitely to it before if you wanted to. But do it after you’ve cut them to fit and tested the fit.

Just picked up these exact same brick panels. Do you have a link to the clear coat you used? Thanks

It was just the spray matte or satin poly you can pick up in any Home Depot or lowes
