    Looks authentic! Im a former faux finisher, I found over the years, a clear matte seal coat will bond it together for longevity and make cleaning much easier.

      Would you recommend any specific seal for this. I would really like to make a backsplash in my kitchen with these panels. But I’m concerned about cleaning.

    Best faux brick wall tutorial I have seen yet. It looks the most realistic. I like this much better than cutting out the brick.

    Love it! The colors are perfect and so complimentary to everything else, and that wall just looks like one complete section of brick wall. Love the color change to the bricks, and then changing your technique for the grout really made a difference in the ease of application.

    Kelsey, That is so impressive!!! We've done the thin brick before (back in the 70s) Don't know what the cost was. But we did an 8' x 20' wall and hearth, and behind the stove and oven in the kitchen. Recently spoke with the current owners, and it was what sold them on the home...50 years later. It's just a cozy thing. Now, even your stairway and hall are warm and inviting. Excellent job! Cathleen

    Outstanding! I was considering this wall treatment for my laundry room (over a concrete block wall), but 4 panels would = at least 2 full days of caulking and painting. At my age realistically it would end-up being 6-8 partial days over 2 weeks. But I do love the look. Your skills are always amazing!

I am just finding your channel so I can't wait to watch your other makeovers. I did see your outside makeover and that was amazing as well. I'm afraid of heights too and I was like no way I would get that far up. Did you just use regular exterior paint for the siding or is there special paint for siding?

    • @KelseyRomitoDIY

    Another fantastic job, putting the white paint on the bricks really brought out the bricks and made them look way, way better. It made it seem like it was tied in with the lime wash for outside. I meant to ask how the lime wash was holding up outside? I was thinking maybe. you could add a faux window to the brick, give it something to break up the expanse of bricks.

    • @KelseyRomitoDIY
      @KelseyRomitoDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      The lime wash outside is holding up pretty well. There are a few spots that have chipped/peeled. I will have an update on exterior stuff in a video coming up soon.

    I have admit, I was very skeptical about the coloring, but I just love it. Tip: don't cut straight line for seam between panels, cut around bricks on both sides of the panels & piece them together like a puzzle, then no straight seam, but I can't see yours at all so good job!

    • @ellyc87
      @ellyc87 ปีที่แล้ว +1
