I could literally hear those coming from a block away when I was a teen, they have a distinct sound and I love it. This one has a nice stance and the two tone bumpers actually look nice
Had a 1986 made to order. I chose the regular notchback coupe, ordered the 5.0 with the 5-speed manual, highway gears, the handling package. Basically a GT without the hatchback, badging and that silly "ground effect" cladding that only adds weight! Or just like the State Trooper cars but with shiny wheels. Got 18-20 mpg in town and 27-30 mpg on the highway. It had 225 hp, enough. It was the car that officially and effectively brought us out of the malaise period. Never used oil, and never gave us any problems, except for a recall on the catalytic converters.
Same story for my first new car, a 08 GT premium. I miss that car. Bought it with my deployment money. Ironic that around 05-08 we had a breakout period from a kind of "malaise" when the muscle came back. Ford, Dodge, and Chevy starting to get serious again.
I didn't get into the Foxbody until I was in my 40's. Up until that time I was a GM guy who always admired the Fox Mustang from afar. I ending up having two of them, a notch and a hatch. Both were LX's(no ground effects) which suited me perfectly. 5.0 5 sp. with basic bolt ons for a while, then did a rear gear, aluminum heads, cam, and eventually superchargers. Did a couple stroker engine swaps by myself in my garage. Man I miss those cars. they were always reliable and fun.
Back in high school in 1998, I used to swap cars with a friend for a few hours. I had a 94 Cutlass 3.4 dohc. He had a 92 Mustang GT with a few mods. That thing was so much fun I never wanted to give it back. I will always love the sound of a 5.0 with Flowmasters!
It is a nicely preserved example but the auto trans just kills it for me. I owned two of these and the manual is really the only way to go for this car. My first car was a 1988 GT with T-Tops and my second car was a 1989 LX 5.0. Now you got me wanting another one. 😁
I was a CA Highway Patrol officer from Jan 1981 to Dec 2002. While assigned to the CHP Malibu Area, I was privileged to patrol 2 of the 221 1982 Fox Body Notchback 5.0 (2 bbl carb) units. They came with a 4 speed manul trans. The excitement started when the 1984 5.0 5 speed manual was issued. This car came with a 4 bbl carb and wide wheels. On April evening around 7:30 pm, I was on duty patrolling in my 1982 5.0 when Motor Transport delivered 2 1984 5.0 coupes to the Malibu office. The primary assigned officer of one of the 84 Mustangs was away at the CHP Academy. He had told me to "run out" the 82 car upon reaching 84,000 miles before taking the new 84 car out. Well, knowing that the 84 car had a 4 bbl, roller cam, factory headers and wide wheels, I parked the 82 car with 83,884 miles on the odometer and fired up the 84. Oh man! I was in love with the burble from the two polished exhaust pipes. The odometer had 7 miles when I rolled out onto PCH. Dispatch put out a BOL that Officer Clark was attempting to stop a BMW N/B on PCH from Zuma Beach at 100 plus mph, and for me to prepare to take over with the 5.0 car. Officer Clark was in a 1984 Dodge Diplomat. I stopped on the N/B shoulder and saw a dk blue BMW 320i pass by S/B at a high rate of speed. I looked in my left side mirror to clear traffic so I could make a u-turn and pursue. Seconds later, I got struck in the rear by a 1973 Volvo DL 240 and was propelled up a dirt embankment. Both doors were jammed shut. I could not exit the car. Moments later I heard a female LASD deputy say, turn your head. She shattered the passenger glass and assisted in extricating me. The beautiful 1984 black and white with 12 miles on the clock was destroyed. I lived to arrest thousands of drunk drivers in my career.
I had an ex CHP 86 Mustang in FL . Man the back end was light on those . I replaced it with a 89 GT not long after . The extra weight of the hatch tamed the back end a bit . Fun cars .
Ford got lots of mileage out of the Fox platform, starting with the 1978 Ford Fairmont and Mercury Zephyr models. They were available with the 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine 3.3 liter I6 engine or the 5.0 liter V8 engine, which was the only choice if one wanted any semblance of a vehicle that could get out of its own way. Unfortunately, my parents opted for a black showroom model 1978 4 door Fairmont with the I6 and 1bbl carburetor in August 1978. It did manage to stay in the family until sometime in the summer of 2006, when my dad sold it to a local junkyard. For what it was worth, it did do its job reliably, for the most part, its anemic performance notwithstanding.
Oh yeah! I had a 1992 GT 5 speed manual-Teal over gray. My first “real” car. I so loved this car, but it got totaled. My grandma was afraid of this car every time I started it up.
😂 it was my fault. Driving in a new town and missed a stop light. Ended up getting t-bone by a 300 ZX Turbo on the driver side. The impact slammed the passenger side into a light post. The frame was crushed on both sides, but none of the glass broke and everything from the B-pillar forward was undamaged.
@@googleuser3007 I appreciate your honesty. That really sucks though, both for you and for the owner of the 300ZX TT… both your Mustang and that 300ZX would be highly desirable today.
Great coverage on the Fox. I too was a Camaro guy. My Dad owned an 89 RS Camaro that loved, until... A friend of mine took me for a ride in his 87 LX Mustang. There was something "different" with the "feel" of that car. I was immediately hooked. Bought an 88 GT that I had to later sell due to "life". I regretted it for years. In 2015, I relocated it in a farm field (who I 😊originally sold it to) tried to buy back but she wouldn't let it go. So... I went off and found my current one. I love the late 60's fastbacks, but the 87-93 Fox is what I grew up with and I absolutely adore them. Bill is correct, they are a great car to learn on, as there is so much on blogs, TH-cam and Facebook about them. Such a huge aftermarket and a "willing to help" community.
The 5 Speed was considerably faster…. And infinitely more fun… love the Fox. So light and all front end. I had an 88 GT 5 speed and my sister a 92. Same cars. Mine was white beers black. Wish I had photos of our driveway back then. Didn’t realize how special it was at the time. My pix today would be a 93’ LX 5.0 Notchback. Muscle car looks with the right tire wheel package..I’m driving my 5th Mustang today… 21’ GT PP1 6 speed. Come a long way by I would love to have a Fox in my garage….
My buddies 92 Lx wasn't that impressive on takeoff. My 94 z24 could takeoff quicker but those long gears in the mustang and 80 more horses just pulled forever. Lol
Bill is "quite happy and chipper" regarding the weather? I nearly fell off my chair. Great video and cool car! It's very rare to see one this nice. 0:30:35 took me right back!
This definitely brought back memories for me, I had a 93 LX 5.0 notch back, candy apple red, the 5 star rims, it was absolutely beautiful!! I had the flow master exhaust system, and the K&N filter, and that was it. Really miss that car. I love your channel and your explanation of the cars, very informative.
I had a new '91, full red w/grey int., 5 spd, fact sunroof...the 5.0 was bulletproof, keep my foot in it all the time, hanging the ass out turning at stop lights. Let a buddy drive it one Sat morning we were already buzzed on bloody mary's and he kicked it making a turn and left the road and we rolled down an embankment and nose down in a creek. Totaled! I went the next day to take my cd changer out of the back and lifted the rear seat bottom and even the floor was split into. I robbed what I could off of it while there...still have the 5-star wheel center caps like new, fact sunroof bag, maybe the shift boot...it's all in the sunroof bag in a box somewhere. I would have taken the glass sunroof, but it flew out when we rolled down the bank. Good times, it was a blast to drive!
ICE ICE Baby 'Bill....1989 Toronto, Canada...raced so many of these 5.0's with my 5.7 TPI IROC-Z...while listening to a TDX SA tape with the tunes! What times!
There is NO ONE ELSE on the Face on this Planet that can go on a Tangent and SELL. BILL, Please sell an Acorn to a squirrel. I'll patiently watch with my camera and Muffle my laughter 😂😂😂
I am 45. I am very fortunate to have one (with my father) since it was new...a Titanium Frost/Black '91 GT Hatchback that we got on August 30, 1991. I clearly remember the day we picked it up, and even first seeing the car in the distance around five weeks earlier at the back of the dealer's grounds after they were closed on a Saturday night. I learned to drive on it when my father would take me out to drive illegally on Sundays, and eventually legally (though I started earlier with him in our '88 Mark VII). Its been upgraded with probably another 100hp years ago. None of this ruined the character of that engine. The automatic transmission was upgraded internally where it's not creating as much of a loss in power, if any, vs the 5 speed. The rear was changed to a 3.73, and even though it gives the car a nice feel when stabbing the pedal, I sometimes wonder if 3.55 might have been a better choice. It's still nicely balanced. We had Koni shocks and Eibach springs put in the car years ago, which did not take away from the character of the car, but made what was there better, where it not only handled better but also rides better. It had most of the options from the factory, missing only two. I remedied one of them...I always wanted the stereo with the graphic equalizer, and found a new old stock head unit for the systems with the equalizer and a new old stock equalizer, along with the amplifier (used) that goes specifically with that system in a Mustang. I have not installed it yet, and need to have Bluetooth added to it. I may use different speakers, possibly a small powered subwoofer, and possibly a larger amp if needed, though if I change the speakers, the ones I'd use are very efficient and, especially with lower bass the filtered to a sub, the factory amp may actually be fine given all that. The other missing option was the leather interior. That will happen, and then the car will be completely "loaded". More power will come too. There is something very special to have owned a car since it was new for this long. It's truly not "just" a car. I will never part with the car until I pass on.
The Mustang that saved the franchise! This is the Mustang of my childhood, so it’s my all time favorite! Incidentally, I never thought the Probe was a bad car. Had they marketed it as a standalone vehicle as opposed to making it an competitor/alternative to the Mustang, I think it would’ve had a much longer shelf life.
I fell in love with the fox body Mustang as a kid watching Menace to Society in back in 93. Caine’s ride with the green and grey lower cladding like this one is my dream spec. Definitely one of Fords best creations. This one is a beauty. Super clean.🤌🏼 Thanks for another enjoyable review Uncle Bill.🙏🏼
Great review Bill, thanks. I've always liked the Fox body Mustangs. The first new car I ever bought was its sister car, a 1979 Capri Turbo RS. By today's standards it was anemic (so was the 302), but back then it was a respectable, 1st step out of the malaise era, and an absolute blast to drive.
Thanks Bill!! We own 9 mustangs, 5 are fox's! Absolutely our favorite cars! I GASPED when you were slinging that ashtray door open!!! They are notorious for breaking instantly!! Lol😅
What I liked about the Fox body Mustang was that Ford offered the 5.0 V8 in all trim and all body styles, unlike today where they force you to spring for the upper trim models. I personally would have ordered a GT with T-tops which were available until 1988. Something most Mustang owners would have avoided, but one i particularly coveted because it was so rare.
👇 Like this comment if you agree Bill's rescue dog is the most adorable little pisser! (@3:00). Thanks Bill for the Saturdee Special upload, a 37 minute 'quick take'. 🙏
I miss this era. It was a time when 250hp was something to get excited about. Then the hp war started and by the mid to late 90’s 300hp was exciting. Now today everyone wants something that goes 0-60 in under 3 seconds and we have cars with 700+ hp owned by dipshits paying $1500 per month that they can’t afford. Even with these insane hp and 0-60 numbers nothing is exciting about the automotive industry anymore.
From my own experience, I'd be careful with the puppy pads in the house or the dog will get used to smelling piss inside and it will be near impossible to break them of it.
I had a 305 TPI auto trans IROC in 86 and these were my nemesis. I had to put headers and a Gale Banks exhaust with no cat to keep up with them. The 5.7 IROCs were a better match stock.
It drove me nuts that Chevy had to put in a motor with 50 more cubes to keep up with these Pintos. And no stick with the 5.7 until the 4th gen. Arrgghh!! I like the 3rd gen styling better.
@@LongIslandMopars yeah, the 700R4 auto really hampered the performance. At least they put the T5 in the later model 305 TPIs. I think these cars are some of the best looking designs even compared to today. I will eventually get another IROC or a C4 vette.
If you knew how to drive/launch the 5.0 5 speed the Irocs even with the 5.7 would come up short. I’ve had both and really my nemesis in the 5.0 was the Grand National especially off a roll
@@nookbandit In my senior year in high school, one of my classmate's dad bought him a GN. Guy couldn't drive for $hit and was the biggest a-hole going because Daddy bought him a GN. It eventually got stolen, beaten the piss out of, and recovered. It was hurt engine-wise and never the same. I would have put money on you and your 305 IROC any day in a race after that.😎
My first thought also when I saw the antique tag on this gem...ugh. i bought a new '85 GT and remember the cheese grater taillights were somewhat controversial when they came out in '87. But as you say, there was the 5.0 LX also available that maintained the cleaner lines. I test drove an '86 with fuel injection and thought it ran smoother than my Holley-powered '85, but something about the carb with vacuum secondaries was just way more fun.
Unlike DeMuro, you've had a chance to experience these damned cars and know exactly what having a wart freezed-off feels like, and we can appreciate that with all of our shaved and pock-marked fupas.
God, so many guidos owned these on long island when I was kid. We used to call them 'disgustangs' due to the quality of the owners back then. It was not until I was older that I was able to appreciate how much fun these are.
I love both. I had two fox body Stang’s but the 5.7 IROC-Z was a hand full in a straight line and the fox couldn’t handle or brake with them. Those cars don’t get enough credit. That being said, I want another GT.
I've owned several, GT's and lx. I have a black 1990 lx hatch now and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. I was so excited when I saw you had a review on a fox. Always love your videos
I love the refreshed Fox Bodies of the late 80s and early 90s. They were such beautiful cars. They were fast and fun. The sound of the 302 was pure muscle. They are so easy to play with. They were true Mustangs. I miss the days of thick radials. Unlike today's Mustangs, these Mustang GT's had thick rubber that gave the car a muscular look and made it ready for burnouts and drifting. The only other Mustang that I feel has the attitude and design of the original 60s Mustangs is the 2005-2009. Ford did a good job with the sixth gen. It has a closer resemblance to the 1969-1970 Mustang than the 2010-2014. The only con is the sixth gen Mustang was when the Stang became more of a track car/sports car than a true muscle car.
Hello, great video. I've owned several Fox Mustangs, but my first Mustang was a 1977 Cobra II that I bought used. Now you never hear much good said about the II's But, I fell in love with it, the only mod on it was a conversion to dual exhaust. And with just that it was very quick! on the street it outran newer 350 Formula Firebirds and like Camaros...with a 2bbl 302.
Another great review Bill !! Keep em coming please! These 5.0 Mustangs were really slowed down by the automatic transmission. The manuals were much quicker and in particular the 87-89's were the quickest. In 90 they changed the cam I believe and while rated the same they just didn't have the power. I had an 88 and walked all over 90-93's because they just didn't have it. Anyway really love the reviews and commentary dude!! ❤
Yessir, my friend Troy drove us down to Panama City for Senior Trip in 1990. Badass car, thank goodness he was a responsible type. We all watched as an LX 5.0 got ruined by another senior, smacked a telephone pole and totaled it.
Had a 1990 same color combo with the T-Roofs bought new had 27K miles and some guy ran a stop sign and T-boned me from passenger side in November1993, with the insurance money I bought a new 1994 Turbo Supra Blk with the tan leather that I still have today 34K miles, no mods, custom exhaust, garaged.
Had 89 and 90 great cars enjoyed them back n them days of flow master mufflers and x-pipes with 373 355 ring pinion, pulleys and so on, ahahaha now its 700-1599hp cars that get 27mpg and daily drive to the track. Amazing times!!!
My first Fox body was a brand new 88 LX that I ordered. I was there when it rolled off the truck, drove it 193K miles, man it was a blast. Bill, put the dog on Proin, helps dogs with bladder issues. Went through the same thing.
Thanks for this one Bill.. I remember these, and yes, it's scary to think how old they are today. Fun times with '80s muscle cars back in the day though. Although I'm an acolyte of Saint Mark of Excellence at General Motors, I've always had a grudging respect for the Dearborn gang at Ford, and the Mopar boys at Auburn Hills.
That era of Mustang is quite unique and it's always fun seeing one out. The availability of parts is a plus, with my 91 Prelude it is definitely getting harder. Where I am in Hamilton, Ontario there simply aren't parts. I have a mechanic who is happy to work on the car, he got the muffler from Quebec and I sourced a relay and the side trim from Paragauay. I've had the bodywork maintained and have invested in painting so I'm definitely going to observe the " thing " into the foreseeable future. Thanks, Bill, everybody have a great day and week.
Great review bill but I got to say when you say the GM twins were a better overall car, you need to elaborate a little bit. They did handle and corner better, no doubt, but at the expense of driver comfort, and horrendous body squeaking/flexing. The Mustang definitely benefited from full door frames and a hatch (if not the coupe) with 'enclosed' glass. Not to mention the interior was just much nicer in the Ford and held up much better. And with the hatchback in the Mustang it actually had more usable cargo room with the seats folded down. So it wasn't just a matter of the Mustangs almost always being the quicker car stock for stock. Other than outright handling, the Mustang was (at least in my opinion) a better package. And nothing was a better bftb than a no option/'strippo' LX 5.0 coupe from 87-93. To think you could buy one for less than $20K and run a very low 14 second quarter bone stock was amazing! I was hardcore GM guy (and FoMoCo hater!) til a buddy blew my mind with his red 86 5.0 GT 5 speed. That one ride (sideways 😄) sold me and a few weeks later i had myself a rather pedestrian looking 87 regatta blue 5 speed coupe 5.0 with heinous 80s 'taxicab' blue cloth interior! I was converted and have had 8 other variations of Mustang since. All if them have been basically bulletproof and fun! Cheers from a fellow (1969) X-er!
In 1985 my best buddy had a 5.0 GT manual. I had an IROC auto. We had a blast road racing around the industrial park on Sundays when nobody was working. The IROC always won. Just a better handler. But that 'Stang was scrappy. Lotsa drivin' sideways.
Well if you came up with a no option 87 to 92 coupe it would be a driver's race. The strippo notch and GN were both 14 second cars so it came down to driver skill. I had both at different points in the early 90s and I beat my share of GNs at the strip, but also took down many 5.0s in the GN. Especially the heavier/slower GT. The strippo notch weighed barely 3000 pounds. The GN was easily 400 more. It was fairly easy to bump the GNs power up, but stupidly easy (and cheap!) to do the same on sny foxbody. And let's not forget the Mustang was actually fun to drive, especially because you could row the gears. And, obviously a lot cheaper up front. The GN may have its place as one of GMs best 80s cars, but the 5.0 changed the game and brought us out of a very dark era of sloths!
The first car I paid for out of my own pocket was a '91 Gt just like that one only mine wasn't 2 tone. I bought it used in '94. I loved those things. I've owned 4 Mustangs since then.
A great car. I had an 82 with a straight six, four speed and T tops. Now I have an 84 GT350 Convertible with the "big" engine (5.0 HO) putting out 175 HP with a 5spd. We love it! We also have a base 70 convertible with the base 2v carb 302 making 220hp and a new 23 GT loaded with 6spd with 450 hp... Despite being lowest in horsepower, the 84 is just a blast to drive. The torque pulls for days.
Had an '85 (in '85). Never jealous of the facelift in '87, the cladding always seemed overdone to me. I was envious of the interior - it was vastly better.
I knew a couple brothers in high school who had a red 88 GT and a burgundy 86 LX w/ the 5.0. I was always jealous of those guys since I only had a 2.8 V-6 powered Fiero GT. I definitely didn't appreciate what I had then, but true to Bill's statement - everybody from the 80's has memories of these Mustangs. The driver's Ed school I went to had a GT, LX 5.0 & one of the 2.3 I4's so even though I never owned one I got to learn a bit on them.
My first new car off the lot. 1988 Mustang 5.0 LX, two door, with manual 5 speed (IIRC). Bought it with my $10k Army enlistment bonus. Loved that car. I was told the 5.0 LX was faster than the GT as they were lighter. Who knows for sure? I just know I felt like hot sh*t driving around Seattle. The dash and controls were well thought out.
I KNOW YOU ARE A GM GUY, ME A FORD FANBOY- & THESE ARE MY FAVORITE MUSTANG BILL GREAT VIDEO REVIEW AS EVER ,& INSANELY INFORMATIVE TOO--I AM BUYING FROM YOU COME 2024 ( ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL! ( I APOLOGIZE FOR THE CAPS )
88 gt, grey with red interior. complete with the gts smoked plastic headlight covers, the "haulin ass" air freshener, and a zz top keychain hanging from the map light.that fuel pump whine brings me back to the days of spiky haired mulleted coolness. I really miss that map light. it was the coolest part of that car
I love everything about it except the mismatching side glass. The original treatment was a better fit. The convertible remedied this and continues to be a rewarding car to this day.
My dad bought and sold a lot of foxbodys in the 90s. What is so strange about them is how inconsistent they are. You could drive an 87 GT that was very slow, but then you could drive another identical 87 GT that would be crazy fast. I dont know what was going on in ford's quality department back in the day.
I could literally hear those coming from a block away when I was a teen, they have a distinct sound and I love it. This one has a nice stance and the two tone bumpers actually look nice
H-pipe exhaust helped with that

That car would be worth some coin today
I also had a 1986 notchback five speed 5.0 and it wasn’t 225 horse it was 200 horse
it ain't the horsepower, it's the torque. and the weight. something today's internet warriors can't comprehend.
The ‘86 GT did not have the cladding. That did not start until ‘87.
Man that is a gorgeous example. As a Camaro guy, I’m still left wanting this!
Agree!! Looking now for IROC to restomod. LOL Old man goal.

22:57 I was wounded by that Antique plate, too! Ouch! I'm ten years older than Bill.
Good evening Bill from Ron in a wet and very windy Manchester in England glad to have you back
Oh yeah! I had a 1992 GT 5 speed manual-Teal over gray. My first “real” car. I so loved this car, but it got totaled. My grandma was afraid of this car every time I started it up.
It “got totaled?” Or you totaled it? Asking for a friend.
Had four fox bodies, including the 86 lx 5.0 5 speed notchback. Love these little things.
30:31 “I don’t know what that is, but I hate it” 😂😂🤣🤣 Don’t ever change, Bill!
Outstanding - bill when you hit the stereo and UNCHAINED vh came up immediately felt a sense of satisfaction and calm
Good day Bill, I hope you've had a good week
Hello Paulie - good enough, I guess. None are really stellar lately. Hope you're hanging in.

Much like yourself, Bill no complaints.

This definitely brought back memories for me,
I had a 93 LX 5.0 notch back, candy apple red, the 5 star rims, it was absolutely beautiful!!
I had the flow master exhaust system, and the K&N filter, and that was it.
Really miss that car.
I love your channel and your explanation of the cars, very informative.
fun and reliable can never be used in the same sentence, unless your talking fox body mustang : )
Great vid! I bought my 5.0 in ‘89. Sold it in ‘08. I sooo miss the car. :( I at least have some old VHS that was able to save of it. 😂
I'm two years older than you. The Antique tag threw me for a loop, too.
That exhaust sound is sound of freedom. Long live Mustang and America 🇺🇸
Man it was like yesterday these things were everywhere. And most of them wanted to race me lol. What iconic cars for an entire generation.
Drove one of these rental GT convertibles in the Vegas desert in 1992 at 135 mph with my dad in the passenger seat.
ICE ICE Baby 'Bill....1989 Toronto, Canada...raced so many of these 5.0's with my 5.7 TPI IROC-Z...while listening to a TDX SA tape with the tunes! What times!

BILL, Please sell an Acorn to a squirrel. I'll patiently watch with my camera and Muffle my laughter 😂😂😂
Who says Bill isn't warm-hearted: he's got a rescue dog.
Yes sir ,definitely saved the mustang at the time.
Automatic
Love the history and the deep digging reviews. Didn't realize the sublime for the time Lincoln MarkVII LSC was built on the Fox Body platform.
I fell in love with the fox body Mustang as a kid watching Menace to Society in back in 93. Caine’s ride with the green and grey lower cladding like this one is my dream spec.
Definitely one of Fords best creations.
This one is a beauty. Super clean.🤌🏼
Thanks for another enjoyable review Uncle Bill.🙏🏼
I never heard these referred to as a fox body back in the day. It was just 5.0
No one called them fox bodies at the time. Not even the magazines. Always "five-point-oh" or "five-oh". Not sure when the "fox body" thing started .
👇 Like this comment if you agree Bill's rescue dog is the most adorable little pisser! (@3:00). Thanks Bill for the Saturdee Special upload, a 37 minute 'quick take'. 🙏
I have to agree with the other commenter the exhaust on these are still the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard this is still my favorite car
WHAT A BEAUTY !!!!!! Bill, truly enjoy you videos, your narrative/ranting style is so spot on, and refreshing…..
@@jays9211 Buddy across the street has a 5.7 IROC. It's a beast; white with t-tops. Sharp looking and sounds great.
I would have put money on you and your 305 IROC any day in a race after that.😎
I always look forward to your videos. Tons of humour and fantastic content. Keep up the amazing work. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
There was a 2nd gen Probe that was sold until 1997. Amazing example here!
I love it. I had an 87LX. 5sp. I never liked the steering wheel when the airbags 1st came out.
Unlike DeMuro, you've had a chance to experience these damned cars and know exactly what having a wart freezed-off feels like, and we can appreciate that with all of our shaved and pock-marked fupas.
When I was in the 8th grade a dude in high school had one exactly like this one . I loved it then & still do . Holy moly !
The 1986 Mustang still had the 4 square headlights. The 1987 was the first model year for the aero facelift.
I owned both. The 5.0 will always hold a special place in my heart, not so much the Camaro.
Glad to be the first view. Good channel, man.
Thank you, Sir!
Odometer is weird. Look at the 3rd and 4th digits being offset oddly.
Yessir, my friend Troy drove us down to Panama City for Senior Trip in 1990. Badass car, thank goodness he was a responsible type. We all watched as an LX 5.0 got ruined by another senior, smacked a telephone pole and totaled it.
Nice Mustang!!
As a Gen Xer within a few months of Bill's age, it is terrifying to see this plated "Historic".
Love your videos. Your night time intros feels like we are in driver's seat of David Hasselhoff's Kit. lol
I bought a 1988 LX 50 with the five speed. I love that car. I got a lot of tickets with that car. That was many many years ago.
Bill, this is my first time viewing your logo. It is awesome!!!
Bill, nice ride. I'm chipper. I hope that you have a happy new year.
Thanks, Bill, everybody have a great day and week.
hey fellow Ontarian, from london myself, proud owner of a 89 foxbody...all the best with car preludes were sweet..
Perfect Van Halen cameo.
I had a Grand National back in the day and every fox body Mustang owner wanted to race……… they all lost.
Different argument all together. 1987……… right off the lot, no mods, no stripped down versions yada yada yada. The GN was king.

Another episode with bill, enjoying my coffee and eating my breakfast while watching bills videos good review on the mustang bill! 👍🏼
The first car I paid for out of my own pocket was a '91 Gt just like that one only mine wasn't 2 tone. I bought it used in '94. I loved those things. I've owned 4 Mustangs since then.
One rivalry of the 80's early 90's was the Buick Grand National vs The Ford Mustang at the dragstrip.
Love the videos and the history. Always intrigued how you know every song on the radio.
I owned two of them back in the 90s. It was an absolute joy to terrorize the streets in my 5.0 back then!
I had a black 82 and a blue and silver 87! Both were incredible cars!
Greetings from Kansas! Nice work Bill!
I had 2 5.0's . 5sp , FI v8 and RWD is a recipe for fun . Can't argue with Vanilla Ice hahaha
IrocZ guy here (still have 1988 IrocZ)… remembering meetings up with 5.0L Fox body’s for traffic light adventures back in the day 👍
Had an '85 (in '85).
So many people forget to detail the foot pedals on a car.
My dad bought and sold a lot of foxbodys in the 90s. What is so strange about them is how inconsistent they are. You could drive an 87 GT that was very slow, but then you could drive another identical 87 GT that would be crazy fast. I dont know what was going on in ford's quality department back in the day.
Van Halen 1981 - absolutely!
