I liked the C3's. You could leave them down and shine the lights thru the grill or put them up without the light being on as well there was a bypass valve under the steering column you could activate. The C4's are cool very performance movement.
@@danielleclare2938 Well, you could rig up the C3 headlights to turn on without popping up. But, if the vacuum tubes are hooked up right, they pop up when you turn the headlights on. You're correct about the valve under the steering column. Pull down on it, and the headlights pop up without the lights on.

I worked as a porter at a Chevy dealer the summer of 1985. We kept the Corvettes parked right next to our wash rack and would pull each one into the service garage for the night before we left. I remember the average window sticker for those things were north of $30k at the time. Our dealer wasn't far from the GM Tech Center in Warren Mi and we would return the cars to the employees after service was complete. Was a fun experience to drive these "state of the art" cars at the time, because I was a 20 year old who was driving a 10 year old rusted out Cutlass ... I also remember detailing the owners 2 tone blue Corvette which I did noticed a scratch on the drivers door, which he actually tried to put the blame on me for it... Was a great car for the time, curious what the outlook is on future collectibility? I also remember the IROC's for that time would always flood if they sat too long at the dealer and not driven other than in the parking lot. To get them running we would loosen the spark plug wire ring from the HEI and lay it loosely on top to create a gap to jump though, that would always get those to start... Fun times!...

I would rather drive an old car than any modern car. The feel of cars from the 80's and older is something you just don't feel in modern garbage. It just feels right
About the C4 being a victim of it's own success, I was thinking exactly the same thing a while back. The C4 is a beautiful car and one of the high points of '80s US automotive design. It's the best looking vette ever made imo. But for those of us who were kids in that era, their ubiquity made them ho-hum. Today, it's almost more impressive seeing a pristine example than it would have been to see it driving around as a 7-year-old car in, say, '92.
Back in ‘83 my father-in-law was torn between a Corvette and a 944. He chose the 944. I am now driving and enjoying the 944. I wonder if the Vette would have lasted as long.
@@MarinCipollina Not really. Prior to the 944 he drove both a 1970 Dodge Challenger V8 and a 72 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. He wanted a sports car. You know, midlife crisis.

Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 Enjoyed the 1984 model bought new from Abaraham over here. Uneventful for the time. Dam cold winter weather ☃ ! 🏄
My Monday of was off to pure suckitude. And along comes Bill with a new C4 video and all is well. Could be a Friday for a I know, now!
Today, it's almost more impressive seeing a pristine example than it would have been to see it driving around as a 7-year-old car in, say, '92.
something about that car and the palm trees reminds me of sonny crockett, jams, and reeboks
Gawd I love this design. And that V8 rumble...
Bill the kind of guy who doesn't read the terms and conditions of anything.
Honestly, who has that kind of time?
@@curiouscars9282honestly, who bothers
Bills the best, love his videos and the quality of his vehicles and his scolding of his detailer who’s a slacker 😂
One of my favorite Cars!
Peugeot mantra, soft springs, thick anti roll bars.
Thank you for the lol..As well,as a great review
Thanks, Sir. I enjoyed this one.
Nice to see one thats not blue and falling apart 🙏
great commentary !!!!
Back in ‘83 my father-in-law was torn between a Corvette and a 944. He chose the 944. I am now driving and enjoying the 944. I wonder if the Vette would have lasted as long.
Sounds like your father in law is a 4 cylinder engine kind of a guy.
@@MarinCipollina Not really. Prior to the 944 he drove both a 1970 Dodge Challenger V8 and a 72 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. He wanted a sports car. You know, midlife crisis.
