Aw! No stress mama❤️ 4 months is amazing and that 3 month mark is a MAJOR milestone. This is probably one of the hardest times to produce because he’s needing a lot of milk and not eating food yet. There is nothing wrong with subbing formula, it was such a weight lifted off my shoulders ❤️ when I started to sub a bit.

    Things that have helped me
    Oatmeal every morning
Drinking water all day and night
Electrolytes (coconut water, Gatorade, body armor, liquid iv)
Garlic! I add lots of garlic cloves when I’m having pasta, but you can add it to any meal that you’re having
I have lactation supplements that really worked for me as well. Brand is Mother love more milk moringa. Currently taking them and I definitely notice the difference.
Pump as often as I can. If I accidentally forget to wake up at night and I miss a session or 2 then I will try to make up for it sometime in the day. I will power pump or do my modified version where I will pump every hr for at least 10-15 mins but no more than 20. I usually only do 10-15. Let’s say I pump at 7:05, I will pump for 15 mins then at 8:05 I will pump 15 minutes and at 9:05 I will pump 10 mins. I always try to make up for my missed sessions
I also eat a lot! I’ve probably gained weight, idk! But if I want food I will eat. I may also eat unhealthy foods sometimes which I don’t recommend but remember to eat! I know sometimes we are so busy we forget to even eat. I noticed a drastic decrease in supply when I was too busy to eat. So now I make it a priority.

Super realistic input and tips for increasing milk supply and being an exclusively pumping mom… Definitely gotta start these morning smoothies.. thanks for the idea…quick breakfast idea!! I was doing good with hydration that first week during recovery but after that it’s easier to slack on hydration since I was feeling more “recovered” … I quite drinking so much water…. Definitely gotta get on that train again! I love how you really talked about the stress factor because the hormonal shift and stress factor is definitely realistic and hits hard!!

I love coconut water with ocean water cranberry juice but
    One thing I did learn
As I have been taking classes to be a lactation counselor is that drinking to much water actually waters down your hormones so I personally shoot for my daily water intake that my body needs but also adding in enough electrolytes. You will notice a difference

I built a milk stash until I sold my milk to a mom who couldn’t product milk anymore due to medical reason... after 1 year I stopped and he feed on formula milk... now I have my 3rd child which is a boy and he is exclusively breastfeed... I am just trying to keep pumping milk for a milk stack so he can have milk until 2 1/2 or 3 years old :) these tips comes in handy cx thank you!

I have been EPing for my 7 week old preemie baby, she won't latch. So I am pumping every 2 to 3 hours from day 1. In the initial weeks I was making a lot, more then her requirement so I built up a frozen stash. But recently I feel there's a drop in my supply and also her demand has increased so I'm not quite able to meet that. Using the frozen packs in between but I'm worried I might have to shift to formula 😢

What? I had my first child. He's 27 years old now. He had problems latching on so I had to pump and then I had to do the enfamil formula too and he was so colically all the time. So 3 months I had to put a little bit of cereal in his enfamil formula just to get him to sleep. The doctor did tell me it was okay to do that. It seems like with the enfamil formula he it was better for him and it made him sleep more. My second child I breastfed him all the way until he was 12 months old. One years old he got on regular milk. I'm not the one to breastfeed two and three and four or five years old and that's just crazy to me it just doesn't make sense. But anyway now this is my third child. My second one is 19 years old and now this is my third child. My milk have not came in at all. Haven't seen that 5 months 6 months and now I'm going on 7 months. Nothing so I don't know if this is a universe telling me that I'm not going to be able to breastfeed or what is going on. I don't know but I have cases and cases of formula. Just waiting

it should* be a supply and demand type of process but every body is so different. Are you breastfeeding and then pumping? Have you spoke with a lactation consultant or doctor? I will definitely say pumping every two hours is HARD and think your mental health means so much more than breastfeeding because formula is a miracle

Saritah Well, if you are leaving a comment such as this, then please thank your lucky stars that you don’t need to rely on formula. Some of us cannot produce any, or enough, milk. For me, it ultimately meant feeding my baby or not. There’s enough shaming out there for women who lose sleep and feel awful that we cannot give our babies our milk. We don’t need a reminder that “breast is best”.
