Alas, another bootleg that visually looked okay at first but falls apart when you put it into motion... once I fix that hip setup, maybe it might not be a bad idea to borrow JP Toyz's idea of making a Skinny Evil Buu custom out of this though.
Still need to record that process, but the idea would be to start by removing what's stuck in the hips with a set of needlenose pliers, and then basically repair the joint as best as possible by drilling and inserting a solid peg between that and the other half of the joint followed and gluing them together to make it at least a bit more stable; not perfect but at least enough to get the figure standing again.
Well, mine also broken too. But i fix it.. really mess fix but still satisfied with the product, unless u wanna buy the expensive one that triple from the bootleg price 😂 How to fix the legs? It’s difficult unless you have the spare the one that you broken it or maybe go and take some gundam parts 😌
@@Jay2Crazyfayou While the supply of newer stuff seems to have severely dried up over these past few years of Covid, Aliexpress and EBay tend to be the go-to spots. Just to warn you though on top of the above, it's not exactly a cheap hobby either...
The most common one that gets referred to in a lot of videos does not appear to be regularly available around here these days, even before lockdowns made walking into shops to look a good bit more difficult. I'd say the faulty hip joint that seems to be a common breaking point is a much more pressing matter however.
Were it not falling apart without much effort and inclined to break in certain points, I might have agreed with that; at most it really should be treated as a display piece and not much more based on hands on evidence plus some other reviews I've come across with similar build quality issues.

That is one way to keep this thing from breaking, unless it ships broken as is... Just try to get it cheap still, because this really is not worth much if anything. I cannot understate that it is from all accounts a fairly badly constructed bootleg.
That's usually what it comes down to for most; I do grab a number of these out of curiosity more than anything, but I do not exactly represent the average buyer in that regard by any means.
Are you referring to the Majin Vegeta or the more recently reviewed SSGSS Vegeta? If the second one, it's not broken as much as not good. Still deciding what to do with it.
While the Broly bootleg does have some quirks of its own, it really is by far the better bootleg of the two and arguably of this recent lot of figures.
He's really trying to make it look wors than it really is hehe. We must be honest. Figuarts its just a figure you change its posture just once or twice in your whole life
I'd argue that a figure that has pronounced faulty areas such as the hips here do justify my calling this a bad buy, especially as it does not appear to be an isolated case. Trying to fix it would make for an interesting day project at least though, but this figure does have problems.

Have you tried using pledge floor cleaning products on majin buu’s arm? It can tighten up that joint that keeps making the arm fall off maybe

Honestly I feel the only reason to get a bootleg is if you can’t find or afford the real thing but that’s just my opinion
