I can’t believe you have a vibrating XJR1300. I’ve a 2011 but ridden a few earlier carb models but I have never found them to have much vibration, if anything quite the opposite! I’d say you have an issue somewhere, possible carb but something.
Own the same bike. Definitely a vibration around 3-4K but I don't feel it's a problem personally. You can cruise around town below 3K happily on this, on the motorway you're about 5K and in the twistys I keep it above 4K anyway or into 5th if cruising.
Brilliant bikes , what vibration , you can't beet these big air cooled fours , and this is what the new Kawasaki z9 RS zed one look should of followed ,they handle brake and the fuel consumption is fantastic , best bike iv ever had as a full working do it all motor .
@@vainparasite Great bikes are the Bandits, I always fancied trying out the 1250 to see how it compares to the 1200. As soon as I can find One, I'll review it for the channel :)
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes I had a 1250 for a week and found it very linear and a bit uninspiring. Definitely more a tourer than a muscle bike. I always seem to re jet my 1200s, my current bike is 119 at the back wheel which is a massive jump over standard but they definitely need a re jet and Dyno work to get that. Don't believe the ones that says a can alone gives you 25bhp 😂😂😂
My X reg XJR was incredibly smooth and not vibey at all! I also upgraded the headlight, re painted the name on the engine and dealt with the furring up. I found it quite uncomfortable, due to wind blast. Sold it for a black bird, which I hated. I do miss my XJR although it was far too quiet as standard
To be honest, everytime I look back at the pics, or watch this video, I kinda wonder if I made the right choice by selling it, they just look so damn cool ;)
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes that xjr.. vibration.. likely a combination of cam timing & ignition.. 70s z1000's had a similar problem.. timing is everything
The rear LED light was a complete unit, and replaced the stock light, I think I found it on eBay or perhaps One of the other cheap Chinese sites, www.ebay.com/itm/Smoked-LED-tail-light-lamp-Yamaha-XJR-1300-XJR1300-1999-2006-/131851020898 The front light bulb was just a generic H7 LED Bulb which can be found anywhere on eBay
Have to agree the paintjob is pretty awesome, shame about the ride really? don't think a carb balance would fix it TBH, but maybe some different foot pegs (better padded) and grips would help ;)
Been on the hunt for either a GSX1400 or a CB1300 for quite some time now, it's just finding the right One, most of the GSX bikes that are in my price range need a lot of cosmetic work, or are high Mileage, plus they HAVE to be in Blue and White, the same can be said for the CB1300, it just HAS to be Red and White or I'm not interested :)

I’ve got a XJR1200 SP. That engine is super smooth without annoying vibration. You should try a carb balance
This is still today a vey good looking bike. Nice video bro.
Many Thanks 😁
Just bought my 2nd Xjr1300. Both black . My last one was 10 plate .this one is 57..love them..
Your XJR must be knackered mine is super smooth can ride it all day apart only bit of vibration is the stock mirrors!
It's possible it did need some loving, after all I only paid £2000 for it on 20.000 Miles :)
I have a XJR 1300 Put a Full Yoshimura System & a Dynojet kit for the carbs & get a reusable air filter. Problem solved . Nice & plenty loud enough.

Had the same issue on my Diversion. 4-5k revs and felt like a vibrator.. and that's exactly the range you're gonna be in most of the time.

Not really a problem as such, but I was looking at going touring in the next couple of Years, and I didn't fancy long days of vibration ;)

I have just done a new review of One of these, so keep any eye for it at the end of this Month!
I know it's gone now but that's a classic carb balance issue 👍👍👍
I'm going to be reviewing another one soon, so it will be good to see the difference! Thanks for your comment 🙂
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes I've always fancied one but keep buying 1200 bandits 😂😂👍

I love my blackbird - does it all and she doesn't vibrate!

Lots guys rave bout these and Iv never understood why? Big fan of those SP paint jobs tho. Would a carb balance poss iron out some vibes?
A quick listen to the throttle blip and i'd agree.

If you put lighter bars on you need heavier bar end weights otherwise you will get vibration through the bars.
still vibrating?...
@@fb3824 quite possibly, but as I no longer own it I cannot say for sure 😉
Very nice color 😍
I have 2000 XJR1300 I feel that only having 5 gears seems to make it buzzy
For sure another gear would help a lot ;)
just bought one for my dad
Excellent Choice 👍
