And it’s not 95HP but 101hp with 123tq at 2500RPM and I’m sure it will beat the HD 114 and it has the best designed pipes in the motorcycle industry.
Your videos are great. If possible you should always have someone else following you for the test rides, recording your riding. No negativity on your videos, just maybe something you can incorporate in the future to give us viewers a better perception of the bike.

Found a 2013 Raider, just a few thousand miles, in 2019, $6300.00. Mine cranked slow too, starter actually went out like 4 or 5000 miles, new one from Amazon, cranks good. It's too bad Yamaha killed off most of their cruisers. My first street bike was a Vstar650 classic. While not a monster, it was bulletproof in reliability and build quality. Biggest mistake I ever made was to sell it. My current Honda doesn't even compare.

Excellent point. It sucks not having a 6 speed trans. Why doesn’t the so called superior Japanese copy have a 6 speed like all Harley Softails and Touring bikes?
The major flaw in design for any of the 3 Yamaha 113 bikes. The transmission output is on the right side where there is a chain driven 'primary' that runs back to a cross shaft. The cross shaft passes behind the transmission to another output shaft on the left side of the bike. From there, the final belt drive runs to the rear pulley. This ads unnecessary weight and driveline resistance. Had they just ran the belt from the transmission output to a pulley on the right side, they could have deleted the chain drive and cross shaft and had plenty of room for a larger, 6th gear transmission. Fun side note, 1st and 2nd are underdrive gears. 3rd gear is 1:1, both 4th and 5th are overdrives....thats how much torque this bike makes. And even then, you quickly run out of 5th gear and are always looking for a 6th.
How can I get a job at Srk cycles I have a clean driving record and I will drive across states to pick up bikes if you need it!!!!! From Delaware close to pa
I’m getting my dads raider, I’ve rode with him on it when he would pick me up from high school. I respect the bike 150% but I’ve never had a street bike. I’ve rode dirt bikes when I was younger. I’m 6ft and unfortunately 150lbs

I'm like a motorcycle nerd, I have never seen this bike until today. March 1 2023. Go figure, it sure looks good, I'm happy with my shadow 750,. But who knows?
ha! I have the Stratoliner S with stock exhaust, and yes it's hard to find a replacement cycle worth considering, but some things I'd want on my next bike.. if geared powered and geared like mine, a Sixth gear, Less alternator noise & Electronic Cruise Control..
This is only an object but that makes something when you have one. I don’t ride my car in summer and spend time to fixe some problems. I don’t tow my motorcycle so reliability is not matter. A broken clutch cable, rear brake pedal problem, starter clutch, ... I fix that everywhere. You meet a girl and ask to get up the bike because we are in late. I like cruiser bikes.
Been riding my raider s for 5+ years, 22k miles, and it STILL rockets like crazy! Acceleration is crazy fun, and damn near throws you off when hitting second gear! Would highly recommend a better seat, and find the perfect suspension set up! 10/10 would recommend
@@TheChevyloonatik I understand why you say this, but even though I am accountant, I come from a long line of engineers and designers, so I stick with their advice: Car tires for cars. Bike tires for bikes. It's only $500 a year for a bike that handles well.
@@scoutandscooter went darkside on my liner and in all weather conditions i have way more traction and longevity out of a tire. I get your point about coming from engineers but i also come from the side of things where i see many engineers that have been very incorrect in real world things vs on paper. I agree on paper it doesnt work but real world it does. I averaged 3 rear tires per season before with the amount i ride and how hard i ride, i now get 2 years per tire and can hold down with a lot of the "crotch rockets" on the roads in my area.

Probably the only bike I rode/wanted that would not have received many mods (grips is all I remember thinking about). *sigh* Ps: wasp flew into my helmet (FF)... THAT was fun! NOT!!
I think every motor in the last 40+ years has a hemispherical head design, it just means it's not a flat top, it's ovals to a certain degree, and depending on the performance needs of the rider can be modified to smaller or larger cc domes, and stepped edges inside of it(mainly two strokes) and a varied squish band from the outter edge to the inner edge to exponentially speed up the fuel/air charge as it reaches the ignition charge. Harley's are hemispherical as well....just saying.

I had a Stryker for about 3 weeks with a Vance & Hines pipes before I was cut off and totaled the bike with 500 miles on the ODM. Looking for the Raider now
Hi considering buying first ever bike at 59 yrs of age. Watched both your scout and 883 footage, I am also 6' 2" if you were in my shoes which of the two is a better fit and option for a new rider. Cheers Gary in the U.K.
Is the Raider faster than your CVO Road King? I have an 09 and just love it. Fits me perfectly and I am 6'2"
God bless you i think you sold me i am picking mine up next week i know this is old video i am sorry but thank you for making videos like this
What year is it I’m a huge fan btw
It's too bad Yamaha killed off most of their cruisers. My first street bike was a Vstar650 classic. While not a monster, it was bulletproof in reliability and build quality. Biggest mistake I ever made was to sell it. My current Honda doesn't even compare.
i was disappointed when i found that out and seemed that they replaced it with rebel and bolt. those things are ugly. not much i could find those either models (Raider and Stryker) in ontario
great material! which bike do you prefer? raider or warrior? I have a huge dilemma. I have a warrior but I'm interested in a raider and I don't know what to do now..
Every light is a excuse to burn the tires off there's no feeling like that tire spinning rear end kicking side ways or when your riding 2 up that front end coming off the ground ridiculously fun compared to similar cruisers
I have a 2006 Stratoliner, the 1900 is a fantastic engine.
Which one should I get? Yamaha raider
Or Yamaha Stryker. I love to travel. And I'm looking for a good motorcycle I can handle a long trip
You are so lucky to get to ride all those bikes.
dear bikes and beards Saun and all SRK cycles!
First of all i would love to express how much I love your videos the content and effort you guys put in this channel, I have been watching your videos since I started riding and that was well over 3 years now, always looked up to the reviews and advices you gave, unfortunately the other day I had a motorcycle accident and broke my leg, am recovering physically now but I still have big fear on getting back, fear of crashing again, as this was my first accident.
As i mentioned I really always looked up to your advices and videos and would like to ask if you can make a video of advices and thoughts on how to get back from an accident and get over that fear!
Thank you for your time and I hope you will accept my request because from you it will definitely help!
Beautiful bike. It really stood the test of time. Is that motor available in any newer Yamaha bike?
Eluder has a 113 ..✔️
My 1982 Yamaha 1100 Maxim also has hemi heads and domed pistons
You know what also has a Hemi. The Predator 212 in my mini bike! 💀 Love your videos!
any issues with that motor , how do you like it ?
@@Scalihoo - I installed one in my tiller 4 years ago. It replaced a 10 HP engine and kicks ass. Only problem is rust. but I live on the coast. salt air causes rust. If I had a mini bike that needed an engine, this would be it. For a hundred bucks, you can't beat it!
thanks good info George
Yeah same that crap flies
Awesome video bro. Imma look up this bike right this second. Thank You!!!
I see this one on your site for sale and it looks like a great price. I currently have a 2011 yamaha stryker raven and I love it so far, might just get the older brother yamaha raider
If it just had a 6 speed it would be a direct competitor to the softail. They just can’t get away from the 5 speed!
Excellent point. It sucks not having a 6 speed trans. Why doesn’t the so called superior Japanese copy have a 6 speed like all Harley Softails and Touring bikes?
you always do a good job. HOWEVER, you misspoke at 2minutes saying it has 4 pistons instead of 4 valves...
My '68 Sportster XLCH was a Hemi. The radial engines, R-3350 and R-1820 I worked on in the Navy were Hemi engines too. What's your point?
My old Kawasaki Z1 has a Hemi too, LOL 🤪👍
Glad to be on this motorcycle oh yeah
I have the same bike. And it also has a slight twist in the forks. I wish you'd shown how you fixed it.
How can I get a job at Srk cycles I have a clean driving record and I will drive across states to pick up bikes if you need it!!!!! From Delaware close to pa
Probably not from youtube comments...
protic4 why?
dog, you have a video of you smoking a blunt behind the wheel of a vehicle. That's a possible DUI. No hate, just be careful what you post my guy.
I’m getting my dads raider, I’ve rode with him on it when he would pick me up from high school. I respect the bike 150% but I’ve never had a street bike. I’ve rode dirt bikes when I was younger. I’m 6ft and unfortunately 150lbs
What’s the better dragster , this or a gen 1 vmax ?
I’ve got an 06 Roadstar and am about to either get a strat or a raider!
I just saw that yamaha has brought the raider back! Im trading my fatboy for one… ive been wanting that bike since it came out
Really enjoyed this and I was hoping you would do a video on one of these bikes 🏍 Didn’t know they had a Hemi, until you mentioned it the other day. I want to buy all three now.
I'm like a motorcycle nerd, I have never seen this bike until today. March 1 2023. Go figure, it sure looks good, I'm happy with my shadow 750,. But who knows?
almost as sweet as my Raider S... 👍🏻
Only difference for the S is chrome correct?
What kind of phone mount do you have? Ive been trying to find a good one to go across my bars horizontally like that...
Hey my 2012 shadow phantom is a muscle cruiser.....in my mind😝 love this bike and I’ve never owned a yamaha!!! How about the warrior👍👍
Is this a good beginner bike?
Hi Sean nice bike great ending bro love your channel 🤣🆒️👍
ha! I have the Stratoliner S with stock exhaust, and yes it's hard to find a replacement cycle worth considering, but some things I'd want on my next bike.. if geared powered and geared like mine, a Sixth gear, Less alternator noise & Electronic Cruise Control..
ut1004bp look at the eluder or venture
Love the verse man!!
Great video Sean. I think it would be really interesting to hear about what your thoughts are on Suzuki Boulevards.
Been riding my raider s for 5+ years, 22k miles, and it STILL rockets like crazy! Acceleration is crazy fun, and damn near throws you off when hitting second gear! Would highly recommend a better seat, and find the perfect suspension set up! 10/10 would recommend
Pent-roof combustion chamber.
Very similar to the hemi, but different.
My v star 950 has one too, same as the bolt.
Dream bike right there, hope I can get one some day.
Nice 👍 job... not to mention..nice looking 👀 motor.. and nice rake..
I have a HUGE problem with my Stratoliner - the 113 eats rear tires. 🤣
Hahaha, Nice.
Go darkside!!!!!!
@@TheChevyloonatik witch tire do you use I've considered this for my raider. Been looking at summer tires but not sure if I'll get any extra life out of it lol
I have a 2003 Vmax and a 2003 bmw k1200lt (Jekyl and Hyde ). I'm thinking about adding a Raider for a old school kinda feel in between.
I have a 2015 and my favorite of all time. I traded my Stryker in for it for just more power. The only lil negative is there air cooled and in summer the engine gets really hot . Can't understand why they stopped making all big cruisers raider Stryker road star and stratoliner.
2013 Raider SCL!!!! My daily!!!!
Wow...! very good... bike 바이크가 탐나네요! 저는 125cc 한국 라이어에요!
O9 raven Raider never a dull ride ...
Imma huuuge Yamaha fan, and I will always regret I didn't get the Raider. Took one out during a yama demo ride and loved it. Probably the only bike I rode/wanted that would not have received many mods (grips is all I remember thinking about). *sigh*
Ps: wasp flew into my helmet (FF)... THAT was fun! NOT!!
now that is a bike .actually my dream bike. and this one looks jus right. what would be the answer if i asked you ,to send one to norway .
Do you guys ship to different states? Ive been watching your videos for almost 2 years now and saving up for another bike by the end of the year and you guys knock it out of the park with info and business practice
