How good was Flygon would be really cool!
Yes please.
you could watch that on false swipe gaming
clamency that’s not in-game
That'd probably be a short video cause Trapinch doesn't show up in a ton of games and doesn't evolve til late game. Off the top of my head i know Flygon is in Ruby/Sapphire, Emerald, X/Y and Sword/Shield. I don't remember if he was in Black 2/White 2 or the Sun/Moon games. However I remember that Pokemon Colosseum let you catch a level 40ish Vibrava so Flygon was amazing in that game
Flygon needs some love
Raichu is my favorite pokemon, periods.
I always approve of it.
Me too!!
It truly is a good boi
Same
Can you do 'How Good was Gallade' next? It's really underrated and it would be a good fit since your did 'How Good was Gardevoir' a while back.
“How good was Ninetales?”
Oh snap!
Hell yes!!
Raichu will forever be Anything Goes tier in my heart
How about creating a ranking system of 1 to 10 for each set of games of any pokemon after this!
I guess it's much better than just approved or disapproved.
Raichu is my all-time favorite Pokemon, so thank you for not keeping us waiting too long for this analysis. It's too bad that its in-game usefulness is so situational. If they're going to give Pikachu so many buffs, they should give the same amount of buffs to Raichu, darn it!
Imo Raichu is really good in competitive, even now in doubles because it gets fake out, nuzzle, encore, and feint. It also gets lightning rod, making him have a really good pair with something like pelipper which can set up the rain making thunder always hit, and u can predict the electric move on the pelipper so u send in the raichu to get the lightning rod boost.
Volt tackle raichu is fun in comp too
* it only good in doubles.
I want to know how good was Nidoking.
agree nidos are really great
Nidoking more like kanto king
one answer: great, great move pool, good stats, gen 1 speedrun poke, everything about nidoking is good [except psychic weakness]
@@Zerohi123 yes
Yeah I think we already know how it does; just Kanto the best and gradually worse cause it is hard to get in other regions
Raichu is one of my top 5 favorite pokemon, the original holographic card for it was beautiful and i always pictured it being a badass saving lt. surge in the war he talks about
I love Raichu! Often underutilized imo
Agreed
I'd like to hear about Pokémon that were bad before the physical/special split that are good now
Gyarados
FERALIGATR!!!
Oh my god Feraligatr got so much better after the split!
Flareon too. And Rapidash from the same gen.
Absol is also a poster-child for the split
there are a bunch of great examples.
Sneasel
Gengar!!!!
Crawdaunt and sharpedo
Raichu is really good in almost all the games. Plus Lt. Surge has one.
Are we gonna see Starmie? It has excellent stats and moves
Starmie is amazing to use man
My fav poke
yeh but it only gets good moves very late so you might as well use other water/psychic types
Trent not necessarily. In all of the Kanto games at least Starmie gets stab in one or both types before it’s really needed with moves such as Bubble Beam, Water Pulse, or Surf for Water and Psychic too
I used raichu in all of my playthroughs
Please we could see Starmie to how good it performs
Mystic: *uploads a video about raichu*
Me, who suggested the yellow mouse in the previous video: *happiness noise*
Or how about Misdreavus and Mismagius? They are underrated and are still pretty good as Misdreavus is not bad to have whilst waiting for a dusk stone so I think it could be interesting
How good was Scizor, or Gliscor
Pick one, bruh.
I would do gliscor.
I will love to see "how good is steelix"
Quick anwser Trash
Yep lol
I think false swipe gaming has already done a video about Steelix and onix and Mysticumbreon doesn’t cover any Pokémon that were already done by him (but FSgaming does competetive stuff and not ingame)
@@pumapandora1310 pretty sure all the pokemon Mystic has covered so far have already been covered by FSG
@@Torukatsu in sp def side yup
But it is op on def and physical
We should do how good was flareon in game
Or all the eeveelutions?
flareon was really bad, fire types solo dote really do well.
u mean: "how BAD was Flareon"?
cause Flareon has always been the worst Eeveelution due to it's awful speed and poor stats....plus it took until gen 6 for him to get a decent physical fire move...but it was too little too late
in sword and shield if you imidietly evolve pikachu to raichu you can learn thunderbolt at the move reminder before milo.
Okay, I'm probably going to get called out on this, but I honestly remember Pichu being an encounter in Route 1 for Gen 7. I honestly remember catching one on my first playthrough of Pokémon Moon so I could take care of my rival's starter, as I always chose Litten for it. I'll be taking a look to see if I am right and go from there, so don't flame me down here, please
It was Pichu instead of Raichu. I caught a Pichu then too
raichu was, is, and always will be my favorite pokemon
No one:
Absolutely no one:
MysticSage: wE’vE goT SHirTs oN SalE
Oh the "no one:" meme format is still relevant? cool
The gear wont move smoothly without grease bro
I think "How Good Was Staraptor" would be a really cool one to see, because its one or maybe even the best regional birds there ever was, and also it would be a pretty good video to make, considering how many people love Staraptor!
Starly is currently only available in game in DPPt and XY so it might be a bit short compared to some other options currently
13:31 wdym I would evolve it as soon as I get the thunderstone because I can relearn thunderbolt on the Pokemon center
How good is leafeon, its always forgotten
Raichu is my electric type in every game its in. Always loved its look and strength. I used luxray in sapphire
MajorHurricane In generation 3? Emulator?
You mean Manectric ?
In XY, you can get evolution stones thru super training, you can have Raichu asap once you catch Pikachu.
For Sword and Shield, you don't need to evolve Pikachu at Level 36 for Thunderbolt, as since the move relearner is now free, you are free to reteach your Raichu moves, which one of those so happens to be Thunderbolt. That way you save your time and your watts.
How about Hawlucha? I think it's underrated, even on the Anime it gets mentioned barely.
... Hawlucha isn't underrated actually
It's very amazing in competitive (specially with white herb/"terrain" berry + unburden and acrobatics)
Bruh ash had one on his tean
@@alessandrosousa5917 In a in-game playthrough
Golduck, how's our great duck boy
How good Ninetales was?
How good was my boy Snorlax ?
gen 1 the sleeping giant had his issues as his special stat was pretty bad at 65....but gen 2 onward's the sleeping giant is a force to be reckoned with ever since he gained his iconic 110 sp.def (hell in Ultra Sun my Snorlax named Gargantaur despite being the teams tank...he was undoubtedly the MVP of the team)
The problem with getting a manectric though is that its sprite usually has a giant head.
However raichu is adorable and lovely.
Raichu is actually my all time favorite Pokémon. I love pikachu as well but I always slightly preferred Raichu more.
Raichu: You took everything from me
Pikachu: I don't even know who you are
The only time I’ve used Raichu was in Ultra Sun. I’m actually supprised that you didn’t include Pikachu since it’s your starter in Yellow and you can get a cosplay Pikachu in ORAS.
The reason that Raichu couldn’t be included in Yellow is that the starter will straight up refuse to evolve, and that’s the only in-game Pikachu! It is possible to obtain a Raichu through a glitch, but I think it’ll only be level seven, so you’d have to level it up and give it any TMs of moves you want it to know.
So, from my personal experience of Pokémon Yellow, Raichu is only good in filling the PokéDex. Just stick with the Pikachu that you start out with.
Raichu is underrated, at least compared to our mascot. I love raichu, but another Pokémon underrated compared to its counter part, is gallade. Pretend you get the dawn stone the minute you get a Kirlia and there’s a suggestion.
Edit: by the way, with the pokenav, it’s possible to get Pokémon with hidden abilities, so while it’s time consuming, you should take into account that it’s possible to get a gallade with justified in oras. If not, sneasel is another suggestion
Your title is missing the word “actually”
Different channel my man
Nope my guy. That’s a different series of video where it’s about how good the Pokémon were competitively, rather than on a casual play through.
@@elijah5374 There was a actually in a video before
Raichu is my favorite Pokémon
I always wait for Pikachu to reach lvl 44. That’s when he learns thunder and then I evolve him
Can you cover Bisharp next? I always thought it was pretty cool and wanted to use it. Pawniard just comes too late in B/W though, the only game i played with it. I still want it covered, though.
You know, there seems to be the myth that Raichu is unpopular or something... but that's not true... he's just less popular than Pikachu... but think about it... he'd have popularity just for being Pikachu's evolution... the "people don't like Raichu" thing is mostly just a joke that some people took seriously...
That said... isn't it actually Jolteon that's killing Raichu's popularity? It's a pure electric type, not easy to get, and, based on base stats, it's not the best electric type... Pikachu has cuteness and mascot power.... but Raichu only has his connection to Pikachu...
Raichu was one of my favorite pokemon, mainly because it saved me so much trouble in Leafgreen. Also because of that one guy in the anime, that taught it Hyper Beam. It was one of my favorite episodes.
I suggest Oddish/Gloom/Vileplume next!
It has the same typing as one of the starters (can Vileplume "replace" Venusaur?)
it is in many games
but I only rarely hear anything about that line outside of being speedbumps in Leaf-Green speedruns.
Gloom/vileplume are so underrated!
Hey Mystic! Suggestion for next one of these! How good was Krookodile?
One of the few good characters in the gen 5 anime(including every human)
How good was Pidgeot? Who doesn't wanna see the OG route 1 bird in action?
Raichu was one of my team member in Pokemon Fire Red
#BuffRaichu 55 extra stats would be cool :) I love Raichu so much❤️
Bruh, in GSC, Lanturn is one of your best Electric options. Other than that, Raichu is pretty decent
I do not know for me, Raichu is one of the best electric types for his good movements and decent statistics (good video)
for those of you who are going to comment "you can't get a thunder stone before Viola" You can by super training. Once you max out ev's of a pokemon you can get secret super training which you can get stones for. I know this is obvious. But i know there are people who do not know
I think Raichu mainly shines in the VGC format because of Lightning Rod, it’s okay on a play through team, but is generally outclassed by other electric types, notably Jolteon in the Kanto games, especially Red/Blue, Ampharos in the Johto games except Crystal, Manectric in the Hoenn games, Luxray in the Sinnoh games, and Partner Pikachu in Let’s Go Pikachu. The main appeals of it are its good speed, very solid mixed-attacking prowess, and only one weakness to Ground. It’s good because of its accessibility and typing, but is sometimes too underwhelming to be reliable
In my opinion raichu is better than luxray because in gen 4 the better STABs for luxray are: THUNDER FANG and thunderbolt, so if you want a special sweeper, raichu is obviously better because it has more special attack and speed, and luxray as physical/mixed sweeper sounds way too strange for me, because raichu has interesting physical moves as well.
What about a Best Type Series where you analyze the whole region and then talk about the one type that seemingly would have the best advantage across the whole region and then parallel it with the worst as well.
I'd love to see the best types for each region. I've been trying to figure that out for quite of the few games I've been replaying lately like FRLG, RSE, DPPt, etc
I love using alolan raichu in let’s go. Yes, I use alolan raichu.
I think Altaria would be nice to see
"Raichu is the best electric-type in Crystal"
Lanturn: Am I a joke to you?
And in this video we'll be going over these competitive formats
Pikachu is the cutest and popular pokemon🥰⚡ but Raichu is awsome and the coolest pokemon 😎⚡👍
A suggestion to maybe improve these “how good” videos, would be to give optimal movesets as well. For example, in the video you said raichu can’t do nothing crasher wake quausire, but raichu can learn grass knot/energy ball. Movesets, are just as important as the Pokémon themselves.
How GOOD was Cacturne ACTUALLY? (I'll never give up!)
Oh hey I am doing a ruby run with a cacturne right now. It just evolved.
@@hunterchewning6725 How is it?
I used Alolan Raichu in Let's Go Eevee (trade a regular Raichu in Saffron), and it actually does pretty good with Thunderbolt and Psychic, despite its otherwise-limited movepool. You can get it just before you battle Erika, and with her Grass/Poison types, it will come in handy there. And then you have the Rocket Hideout, and with all those Poison-types, a Psychic-type will dominate there.
Alolan Raichu is one of the better Psychic-types available in Let's Go, especially if you don't have access to trade evolution for Alakazam. Both Electric and Psychic types perform well in Kanto, and Alolan Raichu gives you both of those in one Pokémon. The added experience that traded Pokémon receive also comes in handy.
AAA! You took my suggestion! ;-; I'm so happy!
Lance's "dragons" 😂
So much emphasis on those non dragons
How good was Hypno?
oh a mah dry bread person i see
I am zwiggo fan
Raichu’s old sprites are some of my favourites, and overall design is great!
How about how good was furret?
I wanna see buterfree. It has some good things, like Confusion in the early game. Also it can support the team with its powder moves
How good was Magneton & Magnezone actually in-game?
Raichu has always been one of my favourites, I used one in let’s go Pikachu and I just love using it, I switch it between the Alolan Raichu from time to time but I ultimately prefer the Kanto version
Please do Breloom next, I love it. It needs more love. Wait Cynthia's Gastrodon is also Ground type
actually in RSE you can get to the safari zone before winonna. I know this becayse Raichu is my favorite pokemon'
Would love to see a vid on Dragonite.
In Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, the Safari Zone is accessible before Winona. Doesn't make much difference to it's usability but it does mean it can be helpful for her gym
You can’t get raichu in yellow unless you trade, and I’d also argue Electabuzz is better in crystal since it has better stats, better coverage since it can learn all the elemental punches and it doesn’t require friendship or a thunderstone to evolve.
Fun fact in leaf green, my sisters first encounter in Viridian forest was a pikachu
In the ORAS series of games, thanks to the poke scanner, you can easily obtain the light ball on a wild pikachu and breed easily to get volt tackle on Raichu, so it isn't that horrible for being late game. Plus, it isn't like you HAVE to defeat Winona before you catch one.
How good was alakazam? It would be cool as he was broken in Gen 1 so it would be cool to see how good he is nowadays
really good but really bad at the same time, really frail but really strong on the special side
@@emojifr... basically about what you'd expect from a glass cannon: hit's hard but can't afford to take a hit
Do how good is Roserade next
Unpopular Suggestion: How good were the elemental monkeys?
lets see blastoise compared to the other starters in kanto, kalos, and other regions/games he is found in.
You can get Pikachu from the safari zone in Hoenn before Winona if you get Devon Scope and keep going down that route
How good were Arcanine/Ninetails really?
Something possibly worth mentioning, for RSE at least, maybe ORAS (it's been a while since I last played), you don't *have* to fight Winona before you catch Pikachu. You're able to pass straight through Fortree and head to Lilycove, and on the way you can stop by the Safari Zone and catch a Pikachu.
Though, I will say that Manectric is definitely better imo, just wanted to point out that you can catch it before it's no longer too helpful.
How good was magnezone/magneton?. It is my second favorite pokemon and i feel he is overlooked so i would love to see some light on it
How about a another unpopular pokemon. How good was drapion actually
Can you do Roserade next?
How good was Kecleon?
Yay! my Favourite Pokémon!!!
Ik do Weavile, that would be SOOOOOOOOO COOL!
Teaching Raichu grass knot in gen 4 gets rid of all ground issues (for the most part)
How good was Lapras next?...
I saw raichu and got curious about this new game ...
22 years later
How good was Nidoking, Electabuzz/Electivire, Magmar/Magmortar, Togetic/Togekiss Ampharos, Azumarill, Aggron, Roselia/Roserade or Krookodile?
Mystic:I will not waste any time in lets go
Alolan Raichu:am I a joke to you
Next up..... How good was lapras in game. Please do that we would love to see that
I sweeped Lance's team in SS with Lapras(2 Pokémon sacrificed for healing)
@@rohitkhoth1348 ya it helped me a lot in ss
I used raichu on my team in let’s go eevee for shits and giggles because well you know the rival has pikachu. I wasn’t expecting it to be amazing but it was actually pretty great. It’s actually the first time I’ve ever used one on my team
In Gen 6 you can technically have a Raichu by the first gym, although you won't get thunderbolt. In order to do this you have to use the Pokemon training thing that is used to EV train and if you complete every level there is a specific level you can do to have about maybe a 20% chance or higher of getting a thunderstone.
Pls Do How good was Hawlucha it's my. Favorite Pokemon ❤️
TBH I think Hawlucha is underrated, even on the anime, I really love Ash's
Hawlucha so much,it's sad that it was underrated.
@@captaintakahashi2764 "Hawlucha is underrated" lemme guess... you don't play competitive, right?
