If bisharp can use that 125 attack on you with a super effective aerial ace then you’re done Liepard can use his high speed to hit a decent aerial ace on you then you’re also down a bit
F.B.I Agent recently replayed B/W and Grimsley was probably the easiest. My lvl 45 Darmanitan with an expert belt on basically swept his team. Sheer force flare blitz or fire punch does the trick along with hammer arm. The only trouble was probably krookodile but I had a Samurott and lilligant just in case so it was a non-issue.
Nathan Walker Darmanitan has blistering attack and sheer force is an insane ability for flare blitz. 140 attack on a 120 power move plus STAB and another 30% bonus from sheer force should be able to tear a steel type to shreds It also helps that darmanitan’s speed is higher than that of bisharp, not trying to prove that Grimsley was the peak of Pokemon battling and defeating him is an honour only regarded by those who have mastered the arts of battling but as for someone who initially experienced him in challenge mode I found him and the rest of the elite 4 quite challenging If also doesn’t help that this was like my 2nd Pokemon game so I still really didn’t know type matchups or building a proper team
F.B.I Agent normally in b2/w2 a lucario never seems to struggle. Even with close combat nothing ever gets to touch the lowered defenses. Only time it’s ever hit is fake out liepard
Unova's ranking makes sense, as it was well built, and even though they have four Pokemon, it makes sense, given what happened afterwards. That was the climax with Team Plasma and they probably didn't want to overwhelm us right beforehand.

As someone who just finished B2, i will say that Marshal wrecked my team with no Psychics and only one Crobat for Flying. Then Catlin was ruined by my Zoroark who used taunt. Grimsley was also a struggle but my Lucario did well. IMO Shauntal was probably the strongest, and that Chandelure is not only a favorite of mine, it also wrecked my team.
I dont remember the Alola Elite four giving me more truoble than the Unova, Sinnoh, or even Hoenn. I thought they were sort of weak, like middle of the pack weak, not as bad as Johto and Kalos.
@@s3nsation646 I meant both, Salazzle, Deciduye and Vikavolt pretty much took care of it all, vs the other three I used my whole team. The game was really lenient in terms of leveling up, going back to the difficulty controversy.

XY were great in story line but the fights they offer aren't amazing, like the generation that introduced megas has only 2 mega pokemon fights to offer.
just a heads up, in the remakes of gold n silver, once you get all 16 badges then the elite four members and lance use their real team and its actually probably the most difficult elite four in the series, especially the fact that your pokemon right after beating blue are still in the 50s while just Will (the first member) is using level 60s. Not sure if you count it tho but u should keep that in mind
That Marshall team is super challenging in challenge mode in white2. His conkeldurr has guts and holds a flame orb, so there are very few Pokémon in the game that can live a hit from that thing
I still believe Marshal is the hardest in Unova, and here's the explanantion (kinda lengthy but read it if you want to) The thing is, almost all of the others have at least one pokemon with a double typing and this is kinda of a double-edged blade: they can attack you from others fronts, but so can u. They all maybe have REALLY wide movepools (Grimsley being on top with 9 different moves to attack u with) But you can attack them in multiple places as well. But with Marshal, it's different: all his pokemon are pure fighting types, and considering that's a gen 5 game, there is no fairies, so you really only two options end up being flying and psychic. But it kinda of falls flat, cuz they all pack rock type moves, and also half of them have acess to Bug and Dark type physical moves, like Payback and U-Turn, which can make things harder for you, besides the fact that psychic type mons just REALLY struggle overall in Unova, cuz there's dark, bug and ghosty type mons EVERYWHERE to make your life hell. So yeah, I rest my case here.
Pokemon Black was my first ever Pokemon game. It is also the only Pokemon Game that I have never successfully completed. The reason? Aside from being a newbie to the franchise and not knowing anything about moves, types, or abilities, that Elite Four really messed me up. I even remember failing once and going around to find an Axew, evolve it all the way to a Haxorus, and training it up to around the levels of my other team members and still couldn't beat it. Oh yeah and for Kalos, my team consisted of a Blaziken, Charizard, Delphox, Simipour, Pidgeot, and Yveltal. And I absolutely steamrolled the elite four...
Gen 5 elite 4 gave me the toughest challenge, and I love them cause they're all so cool. They are the first elite 4 I have faced and boy I had to face them like 20 times no matter how hard I tried
@Jancy Varghese No, no theyre not. Gen 5 elite 4 is hella strong dude your literally just hating on gen 5. I didnt have near a challenge fighting the kanto e4 whatsoever.
@Jancy Varghese sinnoh I can believe is incredibly strong, they gave me almost as much tries to beat as gen 5, but gen 1 kanto. Nope. Gen 1 was an easy 1st try for me on fire red
Mystic : grimsley is the strongest elite 4 member in gen 5 My level 60 Lucario that sweeped through every single person up till now :I am going to end this man's whole career. BTW:it also sweeped Iris's whole team
For me the hardest one is Marshal because i'm never use flying and psychic pokemon on bw/b2w2, the easiest for me is both shauntal and caitlin because my krookodile swipe them using crunch
Funny story, when I played Pokémon black and white i had quite a lot of trouble with the elite 4. However, when my Emboar learned flare blitz, the elite 4 was a complete cake walk.
I consider the swsh elite leaders + bede as the galar elite four, as you fight four trainers. I played shield so I fought Allister, not Bea (i didn't know bea existed until after i beat shield) and this is my ranking. Easiest is Nessa. Her whole team (golisopod, pelipper, barraskewda, seaking and g-max drednaw) i could EASILY take out with charge followed by spark. Didn't take damage the whole fight. Next is Raihan. His goodra and flygon i could easily take out with ice beam, his torkoal and turtonator (despite being neutral) were no match for snipe shot, and his duraludon i could two shot with a special max starfall (duraludon's sp. def is trash). Penultimate is Bede. Her mawile could go down pretty easily with a flamethrower, but the rest of her team was kind of tough. When i will-o-wisp'd gardevoir, she surprised me with synchronise, her rapidash wasn't much of a challenge, but her quick attack was kind of annoying with its high attack, and her g-max hattrene with its crazy sp. atk (plus calm mind) and mystical fire fainted four of my pokemon. The hardest was definitely Allister. Her dusclops with disable got rid of my super effective moves and with thunder punch statusing my team, her chandelure with crazy sp. atk plus mystical fire (raising sp. atk MORE) plus shadow ball with that chance of LOWERING my sp. def, AND with will-o-wisp, leading into her cursola with hex (does double damage when target has a status) and with strength sap lowering my attack, ancient power with the chance of an all-stat boost, and amnesia. Then when her polteageist comes out, it's got shadow ball (possible sp. def drop) and that combined with nasty plot just destroyed my special game, and protect (you know what that does) but when i FINALLY get it to low health it comes out with giga drain which will do BROKEN damage because of my lowered sp. def and her usually maxed out sp. atk. Last is her G-max Gengar with hypnosis, and dark pulse and shadow ball just completely getting rid of my chance to use a ghost type, especially with gengar's high speed. Sludge bomb poisons and that's not good. G-max terror from shadow ball has 130 power and is special which is REAL bad if a previous pokemon used shadow ball and lowered my sp. def. Allister took FOUR tries to beat for me.
imagine in the remakes they added extra pokemon for the unova elite 4. hydreigon for gimsley, dragapult for shauntelle, metagross for caitlin and lucario for marshall
the good thing about kalos’ elite four was the building itself, it was hands the prettiest one. the pattern with xy is that everything is pretty on the outside and underwhelming on the inside
Sinnoh and Johto have the strongest in my opinion because in johto Karen has dark types with confuse ray taunt and moves that confuse pokemon or you cant use the same move twice and for sinnoh i have nothing to say Lucian gave me trouble when i played platinum i remember having a lvl 66 infernape when i first fought the elite four and my other 5 pokemon in the mid lvl 60s (ranging from lvl 62-64 and infernape being lvl 66) and it took me 3 times to beat the elite four before i challenged cynthia (sorry for this comment being too long)
I agree with sinnoh as a 13 year old I was better equipped with knowing type advantages but I still struggled with the entire elite 4 and Cynthia lol Cynthia is another story
!VIDEO IDEA! Mystic, if you were to pick ONE gym leader from each gen to put in Gen 9 what gym leaders would you pick and what place would you put each gym leader.
What is the hardest Elite 4 that you could assemble from any of the Elite 4 Members of all Regions? Mine would be: Phoebe -> First Battle Lucian -> Second Battle Drake -> Third Battle Molayne -> Fourth Battle
Galar technically had an elite 4, they just called it something else but the actual premise was still the same, starts of with Bede who's the fairy type trainer, then Nessa the water trainer, then either Bea or Allister depending on which version of the game you got with fighting or ghost, and finally of course Raihan the dragon leader. i really feel like in any discussions on elite 4, Galar shouldn't be excluded because i think these 4 fill in the elite 4 status in a unique and fun way
Mystic i have disagreed with many of your lists but man i am glad i am that stubborn to not quit believing in you. This list is accurate at its finest. There are lots of factors that make Black and White quite less interesting compared to the rest of the games but its Elite 4 were truly the best. They also had the best themes i think.Alson, just how many houses does Caitlin own actually? Not to mention the surprise i got when i first met her and cried "Holy shit that's the lady from the Battle Castle!".I absolutely agree with every entry on your list.
I think you should do a "Ranking All First Stage Pseudo Legendary Pokemon from Weakest to Strongest". It'd be fun to see Dratini, Larvitar, Bagon, Beldum, Gible, Deino, Goomy, Jangmo-o and Dreepy up against each other. You can follow that video with a Second stage evolution ranking of the same. It'd be really cool and fun to watch!
Interesting perspective. Personally, having played gens 1-5 (no remakes like oras) I would say my easiest experience with E4 by far was in Pokemon Black. And I did not do any significant amount of grinding throughout the game. That being said, the final battle with the main evil guy from team Plasma with Hydreigon was very difficult.
Sinnoh was definitely tough for me. I think the worst was actually Unova. I got rocked repeatedly and it wasn't even on challenge mode. Sinnoh would be next for me, followed by Firered at 3 because I was 10 and didn't know what I was doing lol. USUM was a cake walk imo.
Elite 4 difficulty IMO 1) Unova - The addition of challenge mode and increase popularity of competitive move sets 2) Sinnoh - The sheer level imbalance the developers created, and the huge lack of fire types can make it or break it in Sinnoh. Even after the release of platinum, they still provide challenge. 3) Kanto - Gen 3 remakes improve on the broken mechanics of Gen 1, more coverage moves and introduced rematches with higher levels and more coverage moves 4) Johto - Can get difficult if leveling up becomes imbalance as you progress. Introduction of Dark and Steel types can improve your chances of victory. 5) Hoenn - similar to Gen 3 Kanto, however ORAS made it less of challenge thanks to the downsizing of difficulty. 6) Alola - new game mechanics and exp all can make you well ready and equipped to breeze they the elite 4 7) Kalos - TOO EASY
Gen 5 are harder Marshalls fighting types have freaking rock type moves they can destroy your thing type I remember my unfezant getting destroyed by sawk
I have to agree with the Unova Elite 4: you'd think it's easy to beat them, especially the two mono-types (OK, Catlin has one dual-type, but whatever) in BW, but those teams have all the coverage in the world.
@@mo0116 Same here. I've never actually used a Sigilyph in any of the Gen 5 games, but I always do him last (title of my sex tape), because of the additional prep and XP.

USUM aren’t even that bad of games, tbh they are decently more difficult than the originals. They also have a pretty decent amount of post game. They do kinda hold your hand on telling you where to go but i don’t really see how that could cause someone to really dislike the game. The games also have a great selection of Pokémon
Playing a black/white nuzlocke, the unova elite four is definitely the hardest, especially marshall because i had no flying or psychic type pokemon, (and i had a golurk that only had fly), so i had to resort to opening with my krookodile to intimidate his throh (it has a huge attack stat), switch to my golurk to predict a storm throw (it ended up using bulldoze anyways), heal up and then look for openings to use x attack and x defend to protect my golurk from damage and make sure it could do damage with fly, which just isn't a very strong move, especially without stab. So, it was by far the biggest challenge to me. I barely squeaked by shauntal without losing my chandelure and i also had to resort to some not so honorable strategies, and grimsley annoyed me with his liepard and scared me with his scrafty's coverage. Weirdly, caitlin wasn't that big a challenge considering the other three, but the coverage on her sigilyph scared the crap out of me
i always thought that lance’s mons having hyper beam was a cool detail that was explored in the manga. in the manga, he could heal/feel the emotions of pokemon. all his pokémon knew how to use hyper beam and they could redirect the beam mid air at will. really cool
Also, before going against Bertha, you have to fight Aron who could take out the grass types which could gum up the works if you are playing a Nuzlocke.

140 attack on a 120 power move plus STAB and another 30% bonus from sheer force should be able to tear a steel type to shreds
It also helps that darmanitan’s speed is higher than that of bisharp, not trying to prove that Grimsley was the peak of Pokemon battling and defeating him is an honour only regarded by those who have mastered the arts of battling but as for someone who initially experienced him in challenge mode I found him and the rest of the elite 4 quite challenging
If also doesn’t help that this was like my 2nd Pokemon game so I still really didn’t know type matchups or building a proper team
F.B.I Agent normally in b2/w2 a lucario never seems to struggle. Even with close combat nothing ever gets to touch the lowered defenses. Only time it’s ever hit is fake out liepard
F.B.I Agent his bisharp is slower than most of the fighting and fire types in unlovable so he usually gets one shot.
I’m waiting for an XYZ where gym 4 and up have a mega evolutions with all the elite 4 having one as well
You're about... 2 generations late
Itamar Keren that didn’t stop gen 4 for asking for their remake
Kyle Ngao yeah a remake, not a new game
Yeah, that would be cool (but I would make it so korrina has a mega too)
@@penggao7034 they should have made Korrina the 5th gym leader. I don't want to fight a Mega Lucario with my Fletchinder and Frogadier
Unova's ranking makes sense, as it was well built, and even though they have four Pokemon, it makes sense, given what happened afterwards. That was the climax with Team Plasma and they probably didn't want to overwhelm us right beforehand.
This
You seem to be pumping out the content. Not complaining bc it's pretty strong and nice to listen to your vids and their great quality, but hope you dont meet any burnout!
Ah Marshall... I won't forget that Stone Edge on my Braviary
How about ranking all of the type specialist through out the series for a given type? Would like to see who is the strongest fire, dragon, or ghost specialist in the entire series so far.
Ghost is definitely morty from johto. His gengar just OKOs everything
@@mo0116 Acerola is the strongest Ghost specialist in terms of in-game teams. Lore-wise, it's a tie between Morty and Phoebe, who both have an actual connection with ghosts instead of just picking ghosts for the aesthetic like Fantina and Shauntal
I definitely struggled with Pokémon White’s Elite 4 more than any other game’s.
Same..
Not going with the strongest rematch of each regions elite 4 was a bad decision.
Peyton Stever true but I think he should’ve committed to either the strongest or weakest battle
When I played black and white for the first time, I was like 11, I must've had multiple mental breakdowns, I couldn't beat the elite four to save my life
i actually beat them pretty easily because i managed to have pokemon that countered every type of the elite four, but i was pure luck. i just chose pokemon i thought were pretty
You and me both, but I was like 7 fighting those fuckers, so you can imagine my pain
Im actually glad that X and Y's elite 4 weren't that strong. X was my first pokemon game and the easy difficulty let me learn at my own pace.
I like how he put gen 7 at number 1 when I never took any damage and I was under leveled
Unova is usually a harder Elite four but I went in with Darmanitan, Krookodile, and Archeops so it was pretty much a clean sweep.
I still remember the genuine terror my 8 year old self felt after seeing my Pokémon get taken down in 1 hit with Sheer Cold from Glacia 😩
Loool
Wait, Sheer Cold hit with just 30% accuracy
@@fazrilabrarpurnomo2146 back then it used to hit me every time 😂
As someone who just finished B2, i will say that Marshal wrecked my team with no Psychics and only one Crobat for Flying.
Then Catlin was ruined by my Zoroark who used taunt.
Grimsley was also a struggle but my Lucario did well.
IMO Shauntal was probably the strongest, and that Chandelure is not only a favorite of mine, it also wrecked my team.
I agree! The elite 4 from Unova and Alola were so tough
I dont remember the Alola Elite four giving me more truoble than the Unova, Sinnoh, or even Hoenn. I thought they were sort of weak, like middle of the pack weak, not as bad as Johto and Kalos.
@@manporo5865 Its specific to the ultra games. The og Sun and moon is an ok elite four
@@s3nsation646 I meant both, Salazzle, Deciduye and Vikavolt pretty much took care of it all, vs the other three I used my whole team. The game was really lenient in terms of leveling up, going back to the difficulty controversy.
@YASH SINGH yea, that's what I did. I think they would be much easier with the Xp share
I'd rather use their rematch teams considering how beefed up some regions getsl
Kalos technically has the battle chateau so levels are all good
I think the rematches should be a factor since that's their highest potential as far as difficulty.
Same
I agree
The only E4 I STRUGGLED on was Gen 4, mostly Sinnoh. It probably owed to me being younger but I can’t tell you how many times I blacked out on Aaron and Bertha
If I had to make a region: Based on Iran
Elite 4: Water (Weakest), Fire (weaker than Grass, even with type advantage), Grass (stronger than Fire), Ghost (Strongest)
Gyms: Flying, Rock, Psychic, Dark, Fighting, Fairy, Steel, Ground
"while the games arent exactly great" - I personally think XY are amazing.
Out of every pokemon game I've put the most time into Y
it's my third favorite after BW and DP. I actually tried to shiny hunt and complete the dex which defines a good pokemon game in my book
The only thing I liked from the Elite 4 in Kalos was the rooms they stayed at lol 😂
XY were great in story line but the fights they offer aren't amazing, like the generation that introduced megas has only 2 mega pokemon fights to offer.
Mostly... Sometimes...
just a heads up, in the remakes of gold n silver, once you get all 16 badges then the elite four members and lance use their real team and its actually probably the most difficult elite four in the series, especially the fact that your pokemon right after beating blue are still in the 50s while just Will (the first member) is using level 60s. Not sure if you count it tho but u should keep that in mind
STILL FLINT'S INFERNAPE WAS BEST.
Yup especially if your team is slow

That Marshall team is super challenging in challenge mode in white2. His conkeldurr has guts and holds a flame orb, so there are very few Pokémon in the game that can live a hit from that thing
I still believe Marshal is the hardest in Unova, and here's the explanantion (kinda lengthy but read it if you want to)
The thing is, almost all of the others have at least one pokemon with a double typing and this is kinda of a double-edged blade: they can attack you from others fronts, but so can u.
Usually i tend to question your choicing.. this time you were actually spot on though.. good vid
Mystic : grimsley is the strongest elite 4 member in gen 5
My level 60 Lucario that sweeped through every single person up till now :I am going to end this man's whole career.
BTW:it also sweeped Iris's whole team
Vedanta's aura kingdom facts
For me the hardest one is Marshal because i'm never use flying and psychic pokemon on bw/b2w2, the easiest for me is both shauntal and caitlin because my krookodile swipe them using crunch
I literally only used unfezant and conkeldurr the whole game, so Caitlin tore me apart. The other three, though, were a complete joke
I’m not gonna lie, i Never realize that Phoebe was a ghost trainer until this video, I always thought she was water based on her design.
Lol same
Funny story, when I played Pokémon black and white i had quite a lot of trouble with the elite 4. However, when my Emboar learned flare blitz, the elite 4 was a complete cake walk.
Also you can shut down about 90% of Drakes team with Ice beam, or similar ice type move
Styx & Stones
Yep. Most of his team has a 4x weakness to ice, so basically any ice move that deals damage destroys him.
A wish they had explored Sydney’s lore better
Mystic:Kalos is not great
Me:Pokemon X and Y is my favorite games
I agree, but allister is a boy

_visible life contemplation_
The fact that they never upgraded the Kalos Elite Four challenge in the postgame is really sad.
imagine in the remakes they added extra pokemon for the unova elite 4. hydreigon for gimsley, dragapult for shauntelle, metagross for caitlin and lucario for marshall
Kommo o for Marshall. He already has a Lucario. Also, Caitlin has a Metagross.
Yeah I agree the elite four in xy was pretty underwhelming compared to the other generations
For me, Let’s Go’s Elite 4 was even more Overwhelming.
the good thing about kalos’ elite four was the building itself, it was hands the prettiest one. the pattern with xy is that everything is pretty on the outside and underwhelming on the inside
The Krusty Toon yeah everything about those games was extremely underwhelming
And now, Ranking the remaches!
Even though X and Y are near and dear to my heart... I’ll just ignore what you say about them and watch the rest of the video XD
!VIDEO IDEA! Mystic, if you were to pick ONE gym leader from each gen to put in Gen 9 what gym leaders would you pick and what place would you put each gym leader.
*Flashbacks of molayne sweeping my team intensify*
Same. After i beat him, I breezed through the rest.
What is the hardest Elite 4 that you could assemble from any of the Elite 4 Members of all Regions?
Mine would be:
Phoebe -> First Battle
Lucian -> Second Battle
Drake -> Third Battle
Molayne -> Fourth Battle
Galar technically had an elite 4, they just called it something else but the actual premise was still the same, starts of with Bede who's the fairy type trainer, then Nessa the water trainer, then either Bea or Allister depending on which version of the game you got with fighting or ghost, and finally of course Raihan the dragon leader. i really feel like in any discussions on elite 4, Galar shouldn't be excluded because i think these 4 fill in the elite 4 status in a unique and fun way
Please, do a video like this but rank the members of the elite four individually
You make awesome videos! I love them. Keep it up!!!!
Gen 4 had the toughest pokemon league in my opinion, that elite 4 was mad hard...it was tough even trying to get to Cynthia lowkey
How do you have only 461k subs? This channel is OG and he really helps me.
Elite 4 difficulty IMO
1) Unova - The addition of challenge mode and increase popularity of competitive move sets
2) Sinnoh - The sheer level imbalance the developers created, and the huge lack of fire types can make it or break it in Sinnoh. Even after the release of platinum, they still provide challenge.
3) Kanto - Gen 3 remakes improve on the broken mechanics of Gen 1, more coverage moves and introduced rematches with higher levels and more coverage moves
4) Johto - Can get difficult if leveling up becomes imbalance as you progress. Introduction of Dark and Steel types can improve your chances of victory.
5) Hoenn - similar to Gen 3 Kanto, however ORAS made it less of challenge thanks to the downsizing of difficulty.
6) Alola - new game mechanics and exp all can make you well ready and equipped to breeze they the elite 4
7) Kalos - TOO EASY
As much as I say the E4 in Sinnoh is f*cking hard🤣
Gen 5 are harder Marshalls fighting types have freaking rock type moves they can destroy your thing type I remember my unfezant getting destroyed by sawk
Strongest elite 4 members individually, elite 4 with competitive teams or duel type specialists gyms.
What would happen if a Gym Leader and E4 member specialized in the same Pokémon type in a specific region?
Thats a good thought
THE LUCKY NUB GameFreak has been very careful to avoid that, but it could happen someday
@@macwelch8599 ikr
Didn't that already happen in Gen 2? Chuck and Bruno both used Fighting types.
You mean in Johto we have Chuck and Bruno using fighting types?
Next ranking suggestion: “Worst to Best Elite Four signature Pokemon”
I have to agree with the Unova Elite 4: you'd think it's easy to beat them, especially the two mono-types (OK, Catlin has one dual-type, but whatever) in BW, but those teams have all the coverage in the world.
Marshall was the hardest imo, almost all his pokemon had stone edge while my only true counter was a sigilyph
@@mo0116 Same here. I've never actually used a Sigilyph in any of the Gen 5 games, but I always do him last (title of my sex tape), because of the additional prep and XP.
Not me struggling in the Johto elite 4 but wiping out the ultra elite 4 in one try 😳😳😳
I was an idiot who tried to use swoobat against Marshall until I realized every pokémon of his has Stone edge
Mystic your read my mind I was typing your name and go to you underrated video and suggest that you should make one on the elite four and now here it is :) thanks
Generation 3 elite four was a good challenge for sure
oh i was hoping he was going to rank each member of all the elite 4
USUM aren’t even that bad of games, tbh they are decently more difficult than the originals. They also have a pretty decent amount of post game. They do kinda hold your hand on telling you where to go but i don’t really see how that could cause someone to really dislike the game. The games also have a great selection of Pokémon
Lol after seeing what happened to Sword and Shield these games are like so higher quality
Huh, I want to challenge the Hoenn Elite Four now...
Weirdly, caitlin wasn't that big a challenge considering the other three, but the coverage on her sigilyph scared the crap out of me
My kyogre with ice beam destroyed the dragon elite 4
U.S Citizen15 no wonder
i always thought that lance’s mons having hyper beam was a cool detail that was explored in the manga. in the manga, he could heal/feel the emotions of pokemon. all his pokémon knew how to use hyper beam and they could redirect the beam mid air at will. really cool
