    Hi Kevin , I recently started investing in ARKK and ARKG , and the ETF's is going downside only, I could not figure out what went wrong here.
    Do you still hold you stand with ARKK andARKG , is this still a good buy in RSP mode for long term ? looking for 10 years. In anticipation to your response. :)

    • @isakeng007
      @isakeng007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Though I am not Kelvin, I just want to answer you because I did look into some of the top holdings and I do hold some of the ark ETFs. I think that it is still a good buy and hold. If you look at the prices, there is still a propensity to grow. If you look at the holdings, they are growth stocks with clear sources for revenue in the future. The only problem is we must hope for inflation to stay slightly high. Once it drops or fear of it dropping, then the returns will be sideways. But, even with returns going sideways, it will still grow in the long-term because the fund is actively managed. They do react quickly to any changes and focuses on stocks with potential for revenue and R&D that do give potential returns because of clear possibilities. Arkg and arkx are the only two sector-thematic based ETFs that I feel will not be able to grow as fast as arkk, arkq, arkw and arkf. Arkg stock holding companies have products that are harder to monetize because the research will still need to go through lots of testing phases for efficacy and that is provided there is a breakthrough. As for ArkX, there is quite a lot more focus on aerospace sector though they do focus on companies that do "support" aerospace sector. ArkX is too niche and I think will not see as explosive a growth as arkk. Arkk will be good enough if you want a mini exposure to all the ark ETFs. I think ARKQ is the best in possible growth because of manufacturing potential where people will always need goods or even a 3D printer to make goods in the future. I recommend you go for ETFs that are not focused on a sector unless that sector do have some form of impact on other sectors.

Which do you think is better to invest in, the Nikkoam Ark Disruptive innovation SGD or the ARK ETF itself? Although the ARK ETF has lower fees as compared to the nikkoam fund, the nikkoam fund is hedged to sgd which I believe mitigates the FX risk. Also, since US dollar has been depreciating against sgd, would it be wise to buy the nikkoam fund which has higher management fees at TER 1.63% or should I just buy the ARK etf and take on the FX risk? CAR-T is the most recent gene editing therapy in cancer but it cost millions and access is severely limited. I won't pretend to be expert, I do see potential in gene-editing as it can cure most diseases: diabetes (currently just treatment), blindness, Alzheimer's and of course cancer, but I am guessing it may take 20 years to be widely accesible at an affordable price point. Should that be the case, it will revolutionise the healthcare industry.

      I feel liquidity is not an issue, because there will always be at least 1 people trading it everyday. In the worse case, you only sell at few cents below market price.
