    Finally got around to watching this after having it on my list for a while. Really good information. I learned a few things, but it was also helpful for reminding myself just how much I've learned through personal research over the last year. I knew nothing about bonds up until very recently. I'm sure the video lenghth and topic limits how popular the video is, but I wish more people could watch this. As someone else in the comments said, this video in 54 minutes summarized information that some college courses would take weeks and thounds of dollars to teach someone.

    Great video. I’ve been trying to understand why bond yields and bond prices move inversely for the longest time and this video explained it really well to where I understand that now and it taught me a lot more about bonds as well.

    You can get up-to $10,000 in electronic *I-bonds plus up-to $5,000 for paper I-bonds from tax refunds for a total per year of $15,000 of I-bonds.*
    Detroit, Michigan defaulted almost a decade ago.

    you can not buy any type of bond on M1 finance. YOu can buy an ETF that contains them but not direct bonds.

    I feel this is probably a critical decision for the investment approach but it's meaning eludes me.

    It is good to know about treasury bills. Since it is basically like a high yield savings account that has a higher yield.

    The Bond yield that you mean to say is yield to maturity. It takes into account the price of the bond in the open market and the coupon and the remaining years of the bond to maturity. You missed the realized compound yield. And more stuff,but I'll only talk about it when you want to.

    Why not go long/short on investment grade corporate bonds, rather than treasuries? Wouldn’t the potential upside be much higher?

    If I'm an investor in today's market looking for fixed yield why would I ever consider the 10 year at 3.55% vs the 2 year at 4.18%? Why would anyone? Worse case scenario, I keep the bond and get 4.18% on my money
