I wish whoever watches this all the success!
Bro I never knew there was a world of finance for me to acknowledge and these videos help the journey. Appreciate this, much respect
This is one of the best overall introductions that I've seen about bond markets. I teach corporate finance at a law school and recommend the video to my students. Good job.
This is incredibly well done, before I watched I knew nothing about bonds besides them being issued by governments/corporations. Now I feel as though I understand every basic aspect of bonds. Thanks Nate. Good work young man.
This is such valuable information presented in a really comprehensible way. College courses that cost thousands don't provide as much insight as these videos do. Thanks Nate for making these really helpful and informative videos.
mate you explained this so much better than anyone else Ive watched on bonds
Finally got around to watching this after having it on my list for a while. Really good information. I learned a few things, but it was also helpful for reminding myself just how much I've learned through personal research over the last year. I knew nothing about bonds up until very recently. I'm sure the video lenghth and topic limits how popular the video is, but I wish more people could watch this. As someone else in the comments said, this video in 54 minutes summarized information that some college courses would take weeks and thounds of dollars to teach someone.
Thanks for the video Nate although this was long i loved how i learnt not only just bonds but how central banks, inflation, interest rates and pretty much more things interconnect with bonds.
Fantastic video Nate. Informative and helped me consolidate a lot of information and research I’ve been doing, whilst considering bond investing. Cheers.
Thank you Nate for the clear and understandable information. I really appreciate it.
Thanks Nate
My first intro on bonds. This was great and informative.
Thank you I watched this all the way through, very very useful to anyone that is starting off or wants to know the basic starting knowledge
This video is exactly what I needed. Thank you for the overview!
The best video about BONDS I've ever seen!

this is good. well organized, easy to understand, thank you mate
Excellent presentation. I'm new to the topic and this was organized and informative. Thank you.
Love your videos. Always very precise and easy to understand.
Also, best line was "and we have a flat yield.....which you don't really see that on curves" LOL!!
Great video mate. Appreciate your style 🙌🙏
This was an excellent video as a starter pack for bonds. I invest heavily into stocks but do not know much about bonds other than the fact my retirement account holds some. Thanks for the education!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I learned a lot watching this video, thank you!
From the way you present, I can see that you really enjoy making this video.
Very good video glad you took the time to be thorough I learned a lot here
😊😊
Thank you so much for this. I have begun my financial journey since the last 2 years and stocks, bonds and precious metals are something that I really want to educate myself about. Looking forward to your video on Precious metals.

Studying for the series 65. This helped in my understanding. Thanks!
This is very interesting to learn. Thank you!
Very informative thank you for explaining in great detail. Your information about the fed aligns with another trusted source I listen too.
This was such a great video! Thank you Nate 🙏🏻💡
Great video. I’ve been trying to understand why bond yields and bond prices move inversely for the longest time and this video explained it really well to where I understand that now and it taught me a lot more about bonds as well.
Great Bond Tutorial! very informative. Totally disagree on your take on the fed but loved the bond content. I upped my BondIQ significantly. I watched the entire video thing! Good Job!

You can get up-to $10,000 in electronic *I-bonds plus up-to $5,000 for paper I-bonds from tax refunds for a total per year of $15,000 of I-bonds.*
Detroit, Michigan defaulted almost a decade ago.
I’m only three minutes in. But so far you are deep into jargon. Seems like you would explain things before you get started.
Great video. As a high school student I REALLY wish they taught this in school.
I didn’t understand bond yiels back in college finance101 courses but thanks to this, I think I do now.
Nate O’Brien:) you did an outstanding job in explaining the bond markets risks & rewards for conservative investors to think about, who have vary low risk tolerances compared to stocks & mutual funds at this time in about one hour..For your age you are vary knowledgeable & intelligent 🤩..🙏🏽🇺🇸👍🏽🤙🏽🍀😁!!
Made it to the end;)
Thanks for proving a Glossary. It helped.
Thank you so much for the information on infinte government debt backed by nothing.

Keep it coming. Bonds offer the best opportunity while economies reset. Thanks.

Hi Nate , nice presentation . where can you find an overview of bonds with the creditrating and yields all together ?
Wow Nate, this video was full of so much knowledge and value. Thanks for sharing the bond yield calculator, its definitely a useful tool. Keep up the great work. I look forward to your next video :)
Nate, you're one of the very few financial channels I recommend out there! Actual advice and education, no BS, and no hyping of questionable investments like some fellow big time TH-camrs...
Thanks! I try my best
Made it … thanks

A Zimbabwean here🥰 Yes we had a trillion dollar note at one point nate!!

….
Made to the end. Highly appreciated. By the way,as a foreigners,do i need to pay tax if i buy us gov. Treasures?
you can not buy any type of bond on M1 finance. YOu can buy an ETF that contains them but not direct bonds.
Thanks for taking about tax ramifications. Im curious ro know if treasuries are kéeping up with inflation after taxes?
What video should I make next?

When @NateOBrien releases a TH-cam video about investing it is a must watch 👌
Aha!
Can you please explain what it means to go short or long on a 20 year bond?
I feel this is probably a critical decision for the investment approach but it's meaning eludes me.
It is good to know about treasury bills. Since it is basically like a high yield savings account that has a higher yield.
Relatively low risk, unless the government defaults
Nate O'Brien I love you
Will dividend reinvesting on the same bond etf or even buying the same bond etf at different times move the maturity date?
Interesting
The Bond yield that you mean to say is yield to maturity. It takes into account the price of the bond in the open market and the coupon and the remaining years of the bond to maturity. You missed the realized compound yield. And more stuff, but I'll only talk about it when you want to.
54:07 Finally I can be cool at parties. Thank you so much
10 months later, I'm interested in how Nate views his rant at 45:01 with the CPI down to 3.14% and possible rate cuts on the horizon. He expresses a lot of certainty during a very uncertain moment in the economy.
Thoughts on the passive income investment strategy the seems to be growing in popularity since u can get very high yields without needing millions in principal
Can you talk about China buying USA bonds and what are the trends?
I heard China is dumping USA bonds and the prices are going down. Is that correct?
Why not go long/short on investment grade corporate bonds, rather than treasuries? Wouldn’t the potential upside be much higher?
If I'm an investor in today's market looking for fixed yield why would I ever consider the 10 year at 3.55% vs the 2 year at 4.18%? Why would anyone? Worse case scenario, I keep the bond and get 4.18% on my money
How do you find a particular companies fidelity bond number? i.e. Experian
