The Fender 70th Anniversary Player Stratocaster pays tribute to seven decades of Strat vibe, style, versatility and tone. The stunning Nebula Noir finish (speckled with multi-colored, mid-century-modern-style sparkle dots), black pickup covers and white pearloid pickguard strut an eye-catching contemporary look, while Fender Pure Vintage ’59 single-coils produce the vintage sounds that helped make the Stratocaster such a legendary instrument.
“My favorite Strat story is when I was 15 years, my friends showed me their dad’s 1959 Stratocaster,” says Michael Eisenstein (Letters to Cleo). “He had toured with Gary U.S. Bonds in the ’60s, and I played his guitar every time I was over to their house. That experience harkens back to this Strat. The pickups on the 70th Anniversary Player Stratocaster have great clarity and dynamics, and I love the cosmetic choices Fender made for the model. This guitar is a winner.”
For today’s players, the Fender 70th Anniversary Player Stratocaster beautifully straddles the past and the right now with an alder body and rosewood fingerboard, modern-C neck profile, 22 medium jumbo frets, ClassicGear machine heads and a 2-point synchronized tremolo.

What do you think of the new Fender 70th Anniversary Player Stratocaster in Nebula Noir? Let us know in the comments below! 👇
It would be better with a maple fretboard and a hardtail bridge.
the color is AMAZING!
Excellent presentation! I like this guitar just the way it is. Thanks for such a a good demo of the clean tones.
Love it...I was born in 59 so naturally I want the players with the vintage 59 pickups. Also love the rosewood fretboard...shame they didn't put locking tuners on as well.
I have had mine a few months now and it's fantastic ! I find myself picking up that guitar quite a lot!!
The usa made pickups and the eye-catching color with that price point?! I've never seen a better deal in my entire life.
Just bought it! Finally, a player Strat with all the features I was looking for. Rosewood neck, 22 frets, modern C shape neck, USA pickups, and a cool, different looking finish. Checks all the boxes! Can't wait for it to arrive.
I am actually thinking about buying it. Just wish it had the reverse middle pickup for hum canceling on position 2 & 4.
Check out the new blckout one 😻
@@RJ_HTx Wait, so the 2 & 4 are not hum cancelling?! Why
@@stefanchernev4996 the middle pickup is not reverse-wound so no hum canceling on position 2 & 4.
I would never think a guitar at this price would have a bone nut
This is a tremendous demonstration of this wonderful guitar. Awesome playing that clearly shares the various tone qualities of this guitar. The numerous features and price make this model an easy choice. Thank you for an excellent presentation.
Just ordered today. Can’t wait for delivery.
Beautiful strat! Beautiful finish and sound!❤🎸
Nebula, that strat really does look like a ''Starry night''....💙💙💙💙🎸✍🏼
Looks incredible in person!
Nice demo!❤🔥
A good combination, great color, rosewood fingerboard and vintage 59 pickups. I ordered one straight away and it should arrive in Germany in February. Thanks for the nice presentation 🙂👌
How is it?
@@mrpackdogg the delivery was postponed several times. Supposedly should be available for delivery in four or five weeks. I canceled my order.
@@gobodega5226 understandable. Years ago i ordered a tele that "was in stock" on a website, after i purchased it, it suddenly was not in stock. Had to wait months. Was Worth it tho. But hate when this shit happens
It’s a beautiful sounding guitar.
No, it's not
It is to her, dude. @@carinhall4508
Yes it is. Maybe it not the guitar and perhaps something else?
I WANT ONE
Did your friends dad know you jamming on his guitar? Lol. Enjoyed your video and the story as well, always love a good story that goes along with a guitar. Love this guitar! Not sold on the sparkle finish, I had a Squier tele with similar colors but sold it. Ive got sevearal Squier strats & there is a fender strat in my future, I've been looking for a while for that special guitar with a maple fretboard board as a must. Thanks for sharing!
I'm not usually into sparkly guitars but the rosewood fingerboard with the upgraded pickups drew me to it.
Now I own a sparkly strat 😂
Got this as an alternative to the tiger eye ultra strat I had to return due to the Hawaiian disease called lackamoney. This was 1/3 the price but I can't really hear any difference compared to the 3k dollar instrument. Had it set up today and the tech said it was one of the best he ever played and played like butter. Looks great too! Fender factory website says they are all sold out already, nuff said!
This is basically the American Standard Strat . I might pull the trigger on this one.
thats a great point! and used u get a good american for a grand or a bit more
lol that’s exactly what I was thinking. My 2012 American Standard is my favorite guitar of all time, even over all the real 50’s and 60’s Strats I’ve had over the years.
It feels like one. Mine was great out of the box, except for the fact that 9s are way too light for my hands.
Had a chance to test the guitar and I noticed that the neck/middle and middle/bridge pickup positions do not reduce the guitar's hum and noise. The hum is unbearable, especially once you try to play something peaceful
For those who think that this guitar sounds too bright...YOU'RE WRONG!!! FLEXIBLE PICKS DOES NO JUSTICE TO THE SOUND!!!
I first played it using a fairly thin, standard size pick and i really wasn't too impressed. I then switched to a jazz pick with no flexing or bending to it and it instantly sounded fuller and warmer. Now, with that being said, this guitar, due to the pickups, is the best soundind strat in my collection!!! I just finished playing it through a Fender Mustang micro amp, which comes through the headphones in stereo and said out loud "THIS MF IS TALKING!!!". The articulation is second to none!!! The pickups are MAGNIFICENT!!! I don't use that word lightly or often. Considering the professional set-up from CME, i'd have to say that Fender made a well constructed guitar. Mine plays like a PRS. Everything is perfect about it. It's a keeper for me folks.
Sincerely.
PS, I urge you all to try different types of picks with guitars. The picks also determine sound. Some picks bring out the best in guitars and some just f'ing don't.
Can this model be swapped to become an HSS pickup?
Does it have rounded fretboard edges?
Yes
Guitar beginner here... Would this be a good guitar for punk rock/pop punk? Thanks!
Generally, a guitar with a bridge humbucker is best for that style. But you can get away with a traditional Strat if you're using the right amp and/or pedals.
A humbucker guitar would be better suited for that! There are some great epiphones around this price point with Gibson USA pickups and hardshell
nice guitar good price beats all the squire stuff thats for sure...worth the 1000 smackers
i have the CV its ok@@SmilingBird-sv4wu
I wish it had a black ebony fret board with vintage frets . Finish should be red - white and blue mist finish . 🎼🎼🎼🎸✨🏆🔊🔊🔊🔊🇺🇸
There's an HSS for this price with an ebony board and matching headstock.
Gotta compete with the silver sky se!
No competition. The se sky is garbage
Why do you think so@@SpenserHarris
@@joshuajarod1909 different scale length then core silver sky, different body wood, nothing like a 60s Strat which is what the core SS is based on. Even looking at the SS SE as it’s own design it still sounds terrible.
みんなこの音しか出さない聞きあきた
this honestly is the closest guitar to frusciante's strat sonically
Cool colour, but not as cool as the 90’s Holoflake finish…
Pretty boring looking guitar for a 70th. The 2 point bridge has nothing to do with the original 6 screw. Horrible.
mexican.....
Sounds awful. No strat quack at all.
agreed!!!!@@carinhall4508
@@sooparticular Nothing to do with it. Some of my favorite Fenders are Mexican. I do appreciate USA and have 5 and only buy USA now because Mexican are getting ridiculously expensive and USA hold their value better.
Mexican Fender’s have never been better to be honest. Everybody knows that.
I was going to buy one until I went over to Guitar Center and saw one. I did not like the fruity-colored black paint, Noir is a black-and-white movie experience, not birthday party glitter.
