Scary! I still remember buying the 40th Anniversary Strat. I'm officially old! Turning 53 in February.

@@genebrenner855Is that the one that says 'anniversary' on the upper horn/bout area in black font? Actually, I think I'm thinking of the 25th Anniversary Strat.

The Player Series strat has about 8 upgrades over the normal player series for just $150 more. I'm not sure how they pulled that off. Might get one, though.

I walked into my local store the day the American Professional II 70th arrived. It went home with me, and it is everything I have ever wanted in an electric guitar. Very cool to hear CG play it. Anyhow, if anyone wants to ascend into tone nirvana, it is a 100/10. Just unbelievable.

I love the tone of the players strat, got to have one. Very articulate notes, crystal clear and musical. Fender knocked it out of

Oh that Pro II is one gorgeous sounding and looking Strat! Love Strats but old now and downsizing. Now my only Fender is a Player Lead II with two Strat pups (and phase switching). Replaced the bridge pup with a SD Twangbanger. Now I get some Strat and Tele(ish) tones, in a lighter, smaller guitar suitable for me and my tiny seniors apartment.

I'm an old rocker. My first strat i got at 16. Was a 76 stawberry burst, maple neck stratocaster. I slept with it. I later worked 12 hour shifts 6 days a night and one morning coming home from my security job found my front door open and mi guitar missing. The improvements i put into the 76 strat over the years was. A total of $2000. My mother bought the guitar for my 16 birthday. Heart broken 💔. Myfirst electric guitar got when I was 13 was a swedish 3 pickup strat style Hagstom. Happy Days to all.

I’d be happy with either one but would lean to the Pro. That look and sound is just at another level. 👌 I’ve only been playing since January 2023 and got my HSS Player Strat last May. The prices of these 70th Anniv Strats here in Oz are crazy. Just wish I lived in the U.S. 😕

Great demo .... Love the sound of the Pro best ... My first Strat was a Peavey predator and I still have it and love it .... Then I have a '59 reissue from about '91 ... a very good guitar I got second hand ... and then my workhorse for 12-15 years a Strat plus from '91 - '92 when I got it ... I really appreciate the tremlocking system or what it's called ... yes it has locking tuners too and lace sensors

Time to start saving for a strat! I have a Gretsch G5420tg-59 electromatic and a Godin Fifth Avenue Memphis Sun with a Seymour Duncan 59 humbucker and Godin custom humbucker. I need the players with the vintage 59 pickups to go with them since I was born in 59...lol. I really love the stratocasters sound and feel, sold mine a couple of years ago and I'm still kicking myself. I used to like Les Paul style guitars until I played a strat. Strats are the most comfortable electric guitars ever to me. Shame they didn't put the locking tuners on the players strat though.

Another great vid. If I didn't already have my eye on a white 61 vintage II strat, the anniversary Pro II version would look pretty good. Or maybe a gold P90 Les Paul... So many guitars to buy, so few greenbacks flowing in...

Almost bought this guitar but cancelled it after learning that it costs only $1000 in US. In my country it's sold for $1250ish which is absurd. For example, an Ibanez J-custom would cost 3 grand in US, but in my country you can get it for $2400, 600 bucks less! Amazing, isn't it lol

I wanted to buy the Pro II series so bad, But in my country, there is no shop where we can get the frets changed. So SS frets are a must for me, and that damn luxe is too expensive.

Look, if you buy a violin, a trumpet, a piano, a Fedora hat, a wellington boot or a jar of marmite, they're all pretty much the same as 100 years ago, so I don't think there's anything too special about strats staying unchanged (and of course, they have been tweaked in all sorts of ways) for 70 years.
