I ordered one of these a few months ago from China, and got the same piece of crap. Luckily I had paid by paypal so started a return. I got my own back by posting back 2 stones in the box and kept the watch which I binned anyway as it's useless!. Got a refund in full as soon as it showed as delivered. Hope they enjoy the stones lol
I bought one as well out of curiosity - wasn't surprised at what turned up. Immediately put in a grievance with PayPal and got a full refund 4 days later - seller didn't even bother to ask for the crap back. Obviously due to the speedy refund from PayPal, they are well aware of this scam.
Haha, funny enough but i got the same type of watch and was gonna return some crap instead in the box. The only problem that the postage was more expensive than the actual item. Paypal communication was very poor so just gave up at the end and did not post anything back. But good on you if it worked out sending few stones 🙂👍🏻

The system looks like the "smart watch" my former company gave their employees as a thank you gift for a very profitable 2019. They're a huge, huge company. Needless to say I was very disappointed because of the low quality and honestly, I don't ever wear it.

Yeah, you see, people like him invest money into scams to then make an entertaining/educational video about it. The 40 dollars he spent (and most likely got back from paypal) saved hundreds if not thousands for people gullible enough to buy it but have watched this video prior.
They use a Samsung galaxy S3 smart watch in the adverts to con people then send out cheap Chinese crap you can buy on eBay for 10 quid. Should be sued for every penny they've scammed out of people.

Every time any of you see this ad, you should hit that little tiny triangle in the corner, which brings up the word "AdChoices" to be clicked a second time. Then you can pick "it's offensive" for why you don't want to see it, followed by "misleading" for the offense. Getting the ads to stop playing will be way more effective than telling a handful of people it's a scam. Maybe they'll come around and start marketing the actual product they're selling....
Good video. I have seen ads for this watch on Instagram several times. Every time I saw, I reported the ad to Instagram as scam, but under different domains there were hundreds of different ads for the same watch, and I kept seeing these ads whatevet I did. It is a shame for Instagram being a tool for scammers like this. I am not convinced that Instagram taking good measures for preventing this. They are much like taking the ad revenues, what a shame!

The only relatively safe online marketplaces are eBay and Amazon Amazon is the safest, since everything is sold by Amazon itself, and not an individual seller eBay is a little more risky, but they almost always give you your money back when you get ripped off while letting you keep the item, so it's still very safe in my experience Aliexpress is ok if you know what you are doing, but I personally wouldn't trust it Those weird sites like wish, geek, tomtop.etc are scams 99.999999999% of the time Save your money, and stick with eBay or Amazon, even if it costs a bit more, you are almost guaranteed to get your money back if something goes wrong

You're lucky you got anything at all. When I was a postman I delivered a watch to a flat, I went back to the office after doing my delivery and found the man outside the building with an empty box. It was either down to me stealing it: him lying about not receiving the watch: or it went missing at the delivery end. My supervisor looked into it, I never heard anything about it again. I think a lot of things went missing before even being delivered.

Scammers! I purchased a underwater "wired" drone with a camera, I paid extra for the extended battery and better camera, and chose yellow in color. They sent a cheap aquarium "wireless" sub with no camera, and it was blue. LOL

In the late 1980s I remember my dad buying some 'bargain' analogue watches mail order, having seen an advert near the back of the 'Sunday' magazine supplement in the gutter 'News of the World'. IIRC the numbers and hands (!) were painted on ( in the 10 past 10 position I think ) but there was a small digital display actually telling the time!
Generation Renter I had a friend who was caught by that, though the advert didn't actually say the display was analogue as well as digital, it just had a misleading image.
Saw the same ad that looked too good to be true except it takes you to a slightly different website. Either way it’s still the same scam! Got to be careful these days. Hey, how was that a fair review, clearly from that advert video you showed you are required to be in a snowy cold winter location or paddling your kayak in the sea. Obviously the full features only work in those conditions. I expect the bezel had expanded in the heat of your filming studio jamming it in place so it would not turn as promised. I got as a present a 15 euros smartwatch that looks and feels better then the "scamwatch", despite it can't accept a sim card it works pretty well and looks way better. They can be found in Italian Coop supermarkets but I think they're available in other places around the world. The watch in the promo is a Samsung, probably a Galaxy gear frontier of some sort because A it says "Galaxy" in the UI in some of the promo and B one watchface is called frontier. The promo you mentioned including the wireless charger also uses the Samsung font

Judging from the UI and the intro screen, it's just a crappy Chinese phone cramped in a wristwatch form factor. And most of them not even running Android at the slightest.

Every time any of you see this ad, you should hit that little tiny triangle in the corner, which brings up the word "AdChoices" to be clicked a second time. Then you can pick "it's offensive" for why you don't want to see it, followed by "misleading" for the offense.
Getting the ads to stop playing will be way more effective than telling a handful of people it's a scam. Maybe they'll come around and start marketing the actual product they're selling....
Good video. I have seen ads for this watch on Instagram several times. Every time I saw, I reported the ad to Instagram as scam, but under different domains there were hundreds of different ads for the same watch, and I kept seeing these ads whatevet I did. It is a shame for Instagram being a tool for scammers like this. I am not convinced that Instagram taking good measures for preventing this. They are much like taking the ad revenues, what a shame!

Those weird sites like wish, geek, tomtop.etc are scams 99.999999999% of the time
Save your money, and stick with eBay or Amazon, even if it costs a bit more, you are almost guaranteed to get your money back if something goes wrong

You're lucky you got anything at all. When I was a postman I delivered a watch to a flat, I went back to the office after doing my delivery and found the man outside the building with an empty box. It was either down to me stealing it: him lying about not receiving the watch: or it went missing at the delivery end. My supervisor looked into it, I never heard anything about it again. I think a lot of things went missing before even being delivered.

Scammers! I purchased a underwater "wired" drone with a camera, I paid extra for the extended battery and better camera, and chose yellow in color. They sent a cheap aquarium "wireless" sub with no camera, and it was blue. LOL

Fortunately the site doesn't seem to work very well. The home page presented me with a button to "SHOP NOW" which when clicked merely reloaded the home page.

IIRC the numbers and hands (!) were painted on ( in the 10 past 10 position I think ) but there was a small digital display actually telling the time!

Great video as always. One thing I will point out, the advert claimed to be water resistant, but you twice called the product out for being not water proof. Obviously the full features only work in those conditions. I expect the bezel had expanded in the heat of your filming studio jamming it in place so it would not turn as promised. The watch in the promo is a Samsung, probably a Galaxy gear frontier of some sort because A it says "Galaxy" in the UI in some of the promo and B one watchface is called frontier. The promo you mentioned including the wireless charger also uses the Samsung font
