An immense performance from an incredibly talented young woman
this is a million times better imo, but i get your point.
When I first heard this song, I was looking through a bunch of Birdys videos, though knowing her through a bunch of popular songs before, I ran across this song. And it honestly took a big impact on me. I instantly thought of my mom, passing away a few years. I instantly learned how to play it on the piano and practiced and practiced. And 2 days ago I sang this for my talent show, knowing that my mom was there, and could hear every word.

I'm glad she isn't in the pop and hip hop genre.. A voice like that should be the main part in a song.. Not all the noises you can make on a computer.. No auto tune.. It's nice to have a pure lovely voice.

This song was recorded in the city I come from. It's been my my Mums favourite song since I showed it to her the first time. A month ago, my grandad passed away. My Mum was wailing in the back seat of the car, it was the worst. I just decided to switch on our car radio, and this masterpiece came out. At the time it was the only happiness we had, and my god thank you Birdy, this song is just one big warm hug.

Hearing this song, made me break into tears. It reminded me of when I loved someone with all of my heart and soul. And he used me, he lied to me, he broke my heart into a million pieces. He never even cared about how much I was suffering, or all the pain that I was feeling because of what he did to me. In my entire life I thought that I would never be hurt so bad by one person. I never thought that, that one person would be the one I loved the most.
I cried because of skinny love during Jenna's funeral, and now Birdy has done it again, bawled my eyes out during Bonnie's .. Love it

This is so AMAZING! It made me cry during Bonnie's funeral. Bonnie isn't even my favorite TVD character, but this song made that scene so sad & beautiful at the same time.
I can't explain how much she means to me. Every time I listen to her, I just want to sing better and stronger and faster and be a better version of myself. I feel like she doesn't know how much of an impact she has had on me, being almost the same age. The music, the art, she creates just makes me happy.

Yep. I've actually never watched VD.
I mean yes I am, but at the same time - any show that features any artist will garner the singer/band a few thousand extra fans and listeners. So although it is nice to be someone who found her on your own, don’t bash a tv show or movie for using her songs, as it’s only in favour of the artist :)
I really think that the way she plays this song on piano with a bit of a rubato throughout the song adds something special to the performance.
