Check out the movie "FM" (nice simple title) The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt and Jimmy Buffett are in it, in some large plot lines.
    They all play themselves.
It is actually a good movie.
    Jimmy plays "Livingston Saturday Night"
Linda plays " Tumbling Dice" She was beautiful in this film.
The Eagles play "Life in the Fast Lane"
The soundtrack from this movie is one of the best ever.
    We will miss you, Jimmy.
Thank You for all you gave of yourself to us.

The night Jimmy Buffett was referring to was August 3rd,1975. The "One of These Nights" tour made a stop at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia,SC. My Dad was 15 and was there. He talks about how that was one of the best concerts( from what he can remember..lol) and had never heard Buffett before. Said he was awesome! Got to see The Eagles 20 years later when I was 15, with my Dad in 1995 on the Hell Freezes Over tour...incredibly awesome!

I saw the original four that tour in 1975 in Philadelphia. I picked up a very raw copy of that show on line (probably from a sneaked in cassette tape player) but still a fantastic raw sound. Dan Fogelberg opened for them and played piano . To me they died when Bernie Leadon left

My parents had tickets to that show buy my mom was 9 months pregnant. They ended up not going because she was too nervous to climb to the high seats at the Coliseum. I was born 6 days later. Shes always joked that i couldve been born at an Eagles concert.

Jimmy Buffett and The Eagles are my two favorite bands. If I could only listed to two bands, it would be The Eagles and Jimmy Buffett. To say I am a huge Parrothead is an understatement. I saw Buffett ten times in five different cities. One of those was my first Eagles concert which was the Hotel California tour where Buffett was the opening act.

Grew up with Jimmy's music. It all started on a Livngston Saturday Night! As a kid in the 70s I figured he was already as big as the Eagles.

Their music, and Jimmy Buffett's, was almost the soundtrack to childhood in Northern Virginia (DC Suburbs). My parents were traditional country music people, but Take it to the Limit was often heard on the radio. My sister's softball coach had a Hotel California tee shirt on in their 1976 team photos from Woodbridge, VA.

Jimmy finally made it to the RockNRoll Hall of Fame. They didn't put him in the induction class, but some side category, but he's there finally. It's a shame that they didn't do while he was alive.

Jimmy Buffett seems like a nice guy... I heard Don Henley has 62 people on payroll whose sole job it is is to block people from recreating or using Eagles songs in any manner without paying a fee or he will sue them. Does anyone know if this is true?
