More often than not great musical teams wind up as enemies. I think the secret of their success is that Mac and Jimmy were the exception, and were truly best friends even after many decades of working together. That friendship came through in their music and especially in their live performances. It was infectious and is what makes parrothead nation such a very special thing for all of us.

Got to see him live a few weeks ago. Such a wholesome human, and he has a way that keeps you hanging off of every word when he tells a story. Jimmy gave the world many awesome things. Sharing Mac with us might be the greatest.

I love this! Very emotional for Mac and us but so absolutely beautiful!! I love hearing this story! Such amazing friends! And the music of Jimmy will carry on thanks to Mac and The Coral Reefers! But Mac’s music is absolutely an amazing! His voice is so beautiful and I love to watch his hands as he plays! I can’t wait to see him in Orlando!!!
What a great man. Went to Greensboro NC show this year and all I can say is WOW!!! Looking forward to next show in Bristol, TN. Cannot wait to see ads real soon for The Coral Reefer Band tour, got to keep it alive.....every day is a blessing. What a much better world it would be if more of us alive would be like these 2 wonderful people. Thanks be to God.
I've got tickets to See Mac with Jake Shimabukuro tomorrow night and am really looking forward to it. The place has a one drink minimum and I already know what mine will be.
I'm probably wrong, but I could have sworn that Mac McAnally was the opening act for a Jimmy Buffett concert I went to at Delta State University (Cleveland, MS) in 1978. I know he would have been young then, only 21 or so. Maybe it's the Mandela Effect, but I have a clear memory of that, even though I don't know for sure it actually happened.

I met Mac in KW at "The" recording studio. Great guy! Very regular, Same weekend I had bought Zac Brown a beer in KW at Hogs Breath
