plz can you tell me can you have custom wheel rotation ?
i have t300 and wheel rotation go back to stock or to what car is using in the gt sport so i have to keep changing it every race its pain in the ... and i hate it.
i want smallest wheel rotation on all cars i dont want it to change by it self all the time.

Ive ordered this. Going from a logitech g29 to a GT DD Pro with the boost kit and load cell pedal, plus the fanatec shifter. Going to hopefully be a huge jump

Lol, I'm just going for the basic set up at first ive only been racing on the G923 for about 6 months but i always wanted a DD wheel. I expect i will get a shifter and a load cell pedal in the near future. I expect when i get the load cell i can turn the old brake into the clutch? Preordered the basic kit, so excited to feel the difference coming from a G29. The G29 served its purpose getting me into sim racing on a budget but I’m ready for that DD! Will upgrade to the loadcell and boost kit eventually
Load cell upgrade is a must my friend, so much more control and immersion.
@@techyoudontregret1378 it costs way nlmore than it should. Its just a 24v ac adapter with a proprietary end so you cant just use one you already have.
Boost kit sells for 80bucks on eBay aftermarket and 100% feedback ;)

Boosted Media Thanks for the review. Unlike other driving games the traction control on gtsport is best turned off unless you're in the gr1 class or mad crazy powerful cars. On standing start traction control on setting 1 until you're moving then turn off is the only other time too. It hampers your control by cutting the power to the wheels when you need the wheels to turn for car control. I've ordered this wheel and a set of V3 pedals, so looking forward to it arriving. Currently using T300 with thrustmaster Pro pedals with rimotech load cell mod. It's not a bad set up but a dd wheel sounds like it really helps you feel more.

I am interested in the Next Level Racing F-GT Elite but looks like hard to get the Next Level Racing Elite ES1 seat. Guess I shouldn’t have sold my Mugen S1 bucket seat from before but I didn’t need it anymore at the time 😅!

I just got the clubsport v3 pedals and those alone have helped me cut a second off my time out of the gate. I CAN BRAKE AGAIN! But this wheel setup is for sure on my radar when I replace my G29
What brakes were you coming from? I’m on the G29 pedals and I’ve been considering upgrading to those, but I have less than 100 hours in Sim Racing overall so it might be a bit early for me
@@kavan1773 I have the G29 pedals and even had a brake mod from AXC Sim. Upgrading was overall the best choice.
A load cell brake is the biggest upgrade you can do pace wise. I could go fast with my old g27 pedals with brake spring mod but with load cell its just way easier to get up to speed and be consistent. Like with old pedals i needed more practise but with LC i would need just couple of laps.
@@kavan1773 never too early to have better pedals and a load cell brake is a must, best way for the biggest improvement of your lap times and abilities.

You can't buy the wheel separately at the moment only in bundle form. The wheel works fine on PC.
Great video once again! Just ordered the express bundle hopefully it gets here by next week! Haha. But also I noticed you said in the video you are running the boost kit but noticed you still had the qr lite on the steering wheel still. Doesn’t that limit it to 5nm only?
I think it's only a concern when you're using a podium wheel base which has a 20 nm max torque.
@@doggieboy773a Correct. Qr lite will limit the podium wheelbases to 8 nm, so it wont affect the csl dd with boostkit

It’s strange that you said that you have never played a GT game. I think many of us started there. I’ll cool if you do more videos playing GT. The community that plays GT is just massive. You will get a lot more people interested in your channel.
He wants to play sim games, not arcade like GTS. He does this for pleasure not for view counting.
I didn’t say I’ve never played a GT game. I said I’d never played GT Sport. Thousands of hours in the GT series up to GT5

There are other people on YT who have done that comparison. If you already have a TGT then this isn't really a big upgrade. However, if you're like me and have been running a T300RS, race in daily racing lobbies with an A or A+ rating, and you want a more consistent and linear wheel, then for the money, the DD Pro makes the most sense IMO. I already have the TLCM pedals so I'm holding off for the release of the base and wheel alone without the pedals to save some money.
Does different means better/worse? I've read that some people actually prefer logitech's gear driven ffb over belt. I just ordered a G29 as my first wheel btw.
@@mirageiii3176 I used to prefer the gear driven G29 over almost all Thrustmaster belt driven ones (T300RS/T500RS) until the TGT came out which had a tight belt which eliminated the elastic feel that the other wheels had. For me TGT is the best wheel (cost + benefit wise) for any sim especially for Gran Turismo. This is why I want a direct comparison to see if the extra $ for the FANATEC is actualy worth it.

My brake pedal from my Thrustmaster T-150 just snapped off, so instead of buying a replacement pedal set, I’ve decided to get the Fanatec DD Pro. Can’t wait to feel the difference.

Great review, I would like to see a review of the DD on Dirt Rally on PS5/ 4 as for me this is a better title for rally content. Plus Dirt Rally is the only real PSVR full racing game on the Playstation 4/ 5.

At the moment i know i will play F1 2021 and some WRC 2.0 i dont have a ps5 so will play on PC.
What turns me towards GT Pro is that its a complete set. but is there any difference on the wheelbase performance compared to the CSL DD.

I currently use a DD1 podium with a few extra rims, fanatec shifter/handbrake/CSL elite pedal + loadcell just for console gaming. What I would like to know if that rim is purchasable by its self, I know it's not the highest quality but as a gt need I would like one just for display and the occasional lap

Man this wheel is so cool I've been racing in the g920 for 5 years now and it's showing its age but unfortunately I just can't afford anything better which kinda sucks
I just order mine thank for a great review.
Just received my gt pro. Huge gains over the g29. Using the pedal set that comes with the bundle. Had to order a new sim rig. Fanatec wheel, and pedals wouldn't bolt up to current rig. When it arrives I'll be able to use the inverted clubsport pedals I splurged on. In my opinion well worth it. Will probably order the boost kit in the future.

Are there any plans to make the DD Pro Rim available for the DD1. The rim is said to be much easier to use for GT3 / GT4 racing plus has all the custom features for GT7 so I think you could sell lots test to existing PS4/5 DD1 for PS users.
Looking at getting into sim racing and I’m also a fan of Gran Turismo. So the GT pro Fanatec bundle has peaked my interest. What would be the best combination for the experience? Thanks for the video. Could you please list the GT Sport FFB settings that you have used for G923? (Torque, sensitivity)
Controller steering sensitivity on 0, FFB max torque strength to 6 and FFB sensitivity to 10 is my setting. Too much FFB makes the T300RS wheel work really hard. I had on 10 and it eventually caused issues and I would lose FFB completely so I replaced the wheel. No issues now with lower settings. Have a play with settings on a short track like brands hatch indy and see what you like and works for your style of driving.

now i have som thougths about the hole dd pro thing:
I did the math. It struck me that the premium bundle of the ddpro would cost me around 80 € more than if I put together the individual parts myself and pack a 200 € wheel (the price of the dd basis served as the basis for the calculation).
I also like to play dirt rally and dr 2.0 most of all. and since the gt steering wheel enclosed with the ddprobundle is straight at the bottom instead of round and contains so many buttons that you could get stuck on when changing your grip at rally games and this steering wheel is also not the nicest, I tend to cancel my order and later move on to ordering individual parts while choosing the wrc steering wheel.
!!!! So I would love to see how ddpro is then also reviewed by you with dirt r 1 and dr 2.0. I love to compare it with the fanatec wrc wheel in order to be able to name any ps 4 compativity problems that may arise (because I had read of some compatibility problems with this wheel in connection with ps 4 and dirt 1 + 2) .

I ordered this, but a have a little question. i want to know how big the logo is in the middle of the steering wheel.
I was surprised, that with the V3 or V3 inverted pedals the brake shaker does work in GT Sport on a PS4. I asked Fanatec and they said it does not work. Works on my V3 Inverted and my friend's V3 standard. Going from a T500 to a CSL Elite and the V3 inverted pedals, it is worth it to me. The inverted is more for my PC driving American Truck Sim and Dirt Rally 2.0, but the load cell brake is excellent and has made me quicker. Friends that always beat me handily are now having to work to stay with me and I can beat some of them some times... It does make a big difference.
I'm just getting into sim racing so I'm getting the g923. I would love to upgrade to fanatec one day.
Wow, great work getting GT Sport for the new Wheel review. Lots of pushback on Twitter on the Fanatec page cos most of the Fanatec partners are not GTS players.

@@jasper_of_puppets oh I agreed with them on this point. 90% of people who got reviewer versions of this DD PS5/GT7 wheel had never played GTS and didn't even play it in their review, which completely nullifies anything they have to say as it's specifically designed to be sold for the GT market as a DD introduction.

Would the GT DD Pro be exactly the same as CSL DD when used on PC? I mainly play PC racing games, but will be also playing GT7 when it comes out on PS5.
As far as I'm aware it's almost exactly the same as the CSL DD but also with completely different internals Fanatec claims. I'm sure they'll sell the base separately once the orders slow up on the GT DD bundle too as it works with PC, PlayStation and XBOX.
What is the red mount your using for the dd pro and what settings do u run in iracing cheers
I think the red mount is part of Next Level Racing’s F-GT Elite Cockpit (Front and Side Mount edition). It seems like you can get it as an accessory as well to fit with that cockpit too (Elite Premium DD Side and Front Mount Adapter).
Will the 8nm kit from the CSL for PC work with the GT DD Pro? asking because one says available not available till march the other says available now.
Agreed about it not being a fully round wheel. But I guess they won as it made me add a hub and drift wheel to my order. Where did you get those mounts for the base? Will it make my mounting more stable than the stock T-nuts?

Just curious . So on a high end belt driven wheel like a TGT2 or even TGT1 how big of a jump is it from there bc those wheels are a big jump from. The G923?
what FFB and FFS you had in your GT sport in the game setup ? default 5-5 ?
I’ve been doing a lot of research and video watching, I don’t have any wheel at the moment, but love racing. I’ve been saving for a Podium F1 (which is now backordered till July 2022) to be able to play GT sport, Assetto Corsa, and move onto other Sims for PC in the future as well. I do need cross comparability with PS and PC. Is it worth it for me to continue to wait for the Podium F1, or is the CSL DD good enough? I just don’t want to spend money on something and eventually upgrade. I rather spend the money extra once and know that I can always turn up the settings later. Thanks!
From my expirience I would go for this over the podium F1 for a couple of reasons, what if you don't enjoy sim racing as much as you think? And have dropped what 1400 on a wheel base. You also have the other bits to consider, you will 100% need a rig for the dd1, so thats another 500/1000, you may also find that you much prefer the pc titles over the PS5 so then a whole other world of kit becomes available, VRS base Simucube 2 etc etc. So I would say if you are set on starting with a dd then go for this and then decide if you want to stick with the Fanatec eco system or not.

Unfortunately Fanatec doesn't ship to New Zealand. Was really looking forward to buying this as it's compatible for both PS5 and PC aswell as being a DD wheelbase. Anyone have other suggestions?

Straight to DD if you have the budget, TR300 belt wheel is a decent middle of the road wheel and more than enough for arcade racing games and more serious sims too . You are missing out on so much feedback information not having a DD wheel on the more serious sim. A load cell brake pedal is a must have too!
Will, I value your thoughts as you are an honest and straightforward person. It’s why I watch and follow your channel. I am curious to know your thoughts on how Fanatec is telling customers who ordered CSL DD bases that they cannot meet ship dates, citing a lack of semi conductors, while taking orders for this new product and allowing them to pay more to get them by Christmas. I placed my CSL DD order in Sept and was told I’d have it by Nov 3. Now, I’ve been told it will not ship until Jan 3.
Ultimately it’s up to people to vote with their wallets. Pre-order culture doesn’t exist if people aren’t willing to pay.
I don’t have enough insight into how their warehousing process works to really comment on GT DD Pro units shipping before older CSL DD orders but I can totally appreciate who people are frustrated.
They’ve said they’re not making any money from the extra charges on express shipping so I can only assume that’s accurate.
@@boostedmedia Well said and I am definitely looking at your reviews for options from other companies. The additional cost Fanatec is charging isn’t for shipping, it’s to get it ahead of the March preorder and before Christmas. I’m definitely not a supply chain expert, but they’d have more parts if they didn’t build the DD Pros to send out before Christmas, that were just ordered on Black Friday.

PLEASE make a video like this using this DD Pro wheel to compare the NEW Assetto Corsa Competizione for PS5 that is going to be release Feb 24th. How the ACC PS5 version compares to PC and if the Club Sport V3 pedal vibrating motors work in PS5.

Looking at getting into sim racing. I’m a fan of Gran Turismo, so the GT Fanatec bundle looks like it’s my choice. I’m torn between 2 things. Would you get the bundle with the load cell and 8 N upgrade or get the base model and get a set of club sport pedals V3? What would be the best investment?
I've ordered the 8nm booster bundle the basic csl pedals and V3 pedals with the performance upgrade for the brake pedal. The damper upgrade for the accelerator is decent but not necessary for the likes of rally games, a review I saw said it can help with making inputs smoother for gt3 and f1 cars for better exits out of bends. I'll see how the accelerator pedal is before I buy. It's costly to ship stuff from fanatec so I'd order the best you can afford in one hit. Plus the V3 pedals have the spinning weights on the pedals to let you feel when your ABS is kicking in or wheels are locked up or spinning under acceleration. The reviewers of the GT DD PRO wheel I watched all stayed with their V3 or their other branded current pedals. I don't think it says the CSL with the load cell upgraded brake pedal are bad as an entry level they're highly rated, it says more about how good the V3's are in my opinion. Also they say that the fitments didn't work or are awkward with their simlab rigs.
Get the 8nm booster I've seen in other reviews, gives you that bit more to save the rear before it breaks away from you.

When u get a different fanatec wheel does it show up in them controller settings then once u fit it? Basically I want to buy a p1 v2 for my gt Dd pro. Is this how I will configure it.

Would you not run this in CSL Elite compatibility mode to adjust inputs? Did you not try CSL Elite compatibility mode to see how it compares?
What about running a different wheel with this wheelbase on a PlayStation?
It's fully natively implemented in PS5 mode, no need for compatibility mode in GTS :)
@@momorious but the buttons cannot be remapped, and the question remains, what is it like in compatibility mode?
There’s no difference in feeling between the modes. None that I could detect anyway.

@boostedmedia : Thank you for all you do for the community. I'd like to buy this base to get PC and Playstation compatibility. In october '23, a "Pro" setup costs 300$ more than an equally configured CSL DD ($700.85 vs $1000.85 USD) : 8Nm upgrade, load cell brake and McLaren wheel... Same shopping kart, but with the "pro" base... I just can't get myself to spit out an extra $300 only for ps compatibility! Can you make a video about this? Fanatek might notice and fix their price structure...
I worked out that if I bought the csl dd and mclaren gt3 wheel with csl pedals and clutch pedal is $200-300 cheaper and is what I would prefer for the gt3 wheel looks way better than that gran turismo wheel

I'll probably sell my CSL DD when they offer GT DD Pro as a standalone wheel base. I think just having the added compatibility of PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC will be nice with the wheel. Btw isn't Gran Turismo Sport a 4 year old game for the PS4 :/

About the controller setup menu: there’s no chance to have the DD Pro available, I have GTSport since 2017 release as well The CSL Elite with P1 rim... this is the only one added and available since then.
Polyphony is quite conservative and they did just the minimal job adding Fanatec support (not to forget the Thrustmaster partnership).
I’m quite sure that there will be no update in that as well for the FFB on GTSport, it’s well done and “closed” from long ago.
But it makes sense, Sony and Polyphony are focused in GT7 now.
