An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

Loose straw is indeed flammable, but the bales are so tightly packed that they actually increase fire resistance. In a tightly packed bale, there's no oxygen, which reduces the chance for combustion. The plaster coating of the walls adds an additional fire-resistant seal."

If Wooden houses are a fire risk, what are straw housing, they should ask themselves.
Wooden buildings a fire risk any more than steel buildings, but I agree the straw is likely to be a problem. It depends what other materials are involved.
Sorry, you are wrong. Tests have already been performed, and straw bale walls with a 4cm clay coating fall into the same category as 20cm concrete walls, i.e. they withstand flames for 30mins without losing stability. Why? Because compressed straw bales for construction contain not so much air that's needed for proper burning. Similar with solid wood houses. Ask you fire department if you have doubts, or do some research. By repeating such nonsense about fire-risks and calling it theoretical wishful-thinking, you are just contributing to the ignorance.
There is no oxygen in the straw, which means that the fire risk is very low.
