It’s part of their identity, a big part of it, and he is celebrating it. It is a great, easy way to make people like you a little bit immediately which is super helpful in negotiations like this. Especially if two sharks make the same deal (Steve being one of them), and the entrepreneur gets to choose between two exact offers, the only difference being the shark offering it. That “ah nice” could win him the equity in those situations.

Thousands of people have come to shartank, they cant invest in every single one because they dont have the time to truly commit to each. Secondly, they dont have infinite money to randomly throw away. Thirdly, they are teaching other investors how to invest and the thought process of finding a company of investing in, if they randomly invested they would lose their credibility. Fourthly, they have a reputation to maintain, they wont invest in companies that dont fit their “image”. For them to invest, it truly needs to be a good idea, priced well, where and something they seem like they would enjoy doing.

I find the differences between the three amazing and love the way they show the cultural differences of each country. I`m a Brit but much prefer the Aussy version. Not knocking it but the USA version makes me want to heave sometime, it all so drama based, like they all think they are potential stars. Yet it also shows why Americans are the best business people in the world (generally). The Den is entertaining but I don't care much for the sometimes arrogance and self importance of the dragons, not all of them and not often-but it there. The Aussy`s seem more fun. laid back and egalitarian. Quite honestly if I met any of them in a bar I`d like to buy them a drink (and get one back) as they seem decent geezers and gals and would be interesting to talk to. What`s common to all programmes, regardless of country, are the people visiting the tank or den. A mixture of the gifted, inept, people with good products but not much business sense, a few that are sharp and smart enough to be sitting in the sharks/dragons chair in a few years. Only once have I seen a prospect that was smarter than the dragons.

exactly! that's why he needs to not sell it retail but to established brands as a replacement to hangers. For instance (if i were marketing this product) I wouldn't be trying to sell it in stores at all but instead I would go to any Clothing Brand or Online Clothing Rental Store, anyone who can use Hangars for their product. I would give them a deal to where basically they can ship these easier than Hangars so it always ensures that customers are able to just take it and instantly put their product in the closet, especially for companies that having subscription based Clothing Delivery or Rental like those are prime considering many of those models have more expensive clothing and because there are so many different types of clothing they ship, they cannot reliably use hangars, you ship some of these puppies with each order, great package and honestly it's going to be a steady income for their branding provided they get the trademark / patent in the other markets. It's simple, innovative and honestly i wish i were in charge of marketing this product because it's a DREAM product!

VS another offer with a royalty payment.. hence the %ownership% (in this case 35%) would have been for free.. // the UK version does not offer this much evidence of 'how sharks/dragons get paid back their money'.. many eps have NO offer of detail over how the coins r paid back to this passive investor.. royalties.. interest on loans.. deductible and lower retained earnings.. hence lower a dividend to come.. must have a positive RE before u can dividend out.. // Thanks for the Upload a very exciting ep..
