I recently purchased a used MS291 and it has this easy start system on it. Really appreciate this video and that it isn’t too long. Thought maybe the starter was broken on mine but now I see that I’ve just been regular start aggressive with it and didn’t need to be. Thanks.

That saw is not something you see to often

Sure works for an old retired family doctor that used his head and hands in his 43 years of taking care of people, but never was athletic or strong. I can start this stuff at age 77. It works.

Informative and funny man, great video and totally sold me. I have one hand, hard to start chainsaws for me. I've even tried electric ones but they are just garbage, going to try one of these bad boys. Keep up the great work!

Thanks man. Does the BR800c have easy start? I've been really struggling to work out starting procedure on that thing

The 800c does have easy start and can be a bit trick. I do a short slow half pull and then a full pull. It seems as though a longer pull is critical to these starting. Also the first start of the day I start it on the ground. Hope this helps.

I've got a ms251, a coworker has a 251c, and watching him crank his is painful, mine cranks perfectly and he agrees. Maybe his is a lemon, maybe we both try to crank it like a regular saw. But if you're a grown ass man, get a regular saw.

The MS251C is not fond of the grip it and rip it. You need to pull like it is a HEAVY door. Glad your MS251 is right for you!

So, do you pull the easy start rope all the way out and let it slam back into the rewind assembly -- which is what a dude is telling people in a TH-cam video -- or do you just pull out nice and easy and the saw will start? Pulling the rope all the way out and letting it slam back into the saw just seems crazy to me. Help!!
