Love that song and Amy does it the best I've ever heard!
Look at the hundreds (coupla thousand?) people in the audience diggin' on this jam.....they're not having a buncha pissin' matches about who wrote it, who sang it first, whose version is best, they're just getting off on the beautiful sounds falling on their ears...I'll never understand why people want to argue so much about music instead of just enjoying it.
You're so right. It's not who's the best but who's your favorite. If you're anything like me that changes day to day according to who/what I'm listening to. Long live Rock and Roll.

i love the Band, but I don't think they can take credit for this song being famous, it's been recoreded by everyone, and considered one of the best songs ever written. Just saying
Lefty's version is the standard. It was a huge hit with him and literally no one else. Saying a group he didn't even have a hit with it somehow is better is hilarious. Lefty's version is dark and brooding. The way it should be.
