Floyd Rose Install on a Strat

Floyd Rose style bridge installation on my Fernando Stratocaster. All my electric guitars are equipped with Floyd Rose bridges except for this one. I have a spare Floyd bridge and locking nut and will attempt to do it myself with a router and drill. I will also replace the single coil brodge pickup to a humbucker. I think this is the simplest way to install a Floyd bridge.

How did you choose your router bit?

Hi! for this project I chose the 12mm bit. Since I was a complete beginner and this was my first project, I figured I will use the bit that will have the minimum damage possible should I make any mistakes. Which I did on this one. Also, I chose this bit so it will be as close to the radius on the standard Floyd rose pockets on the edges/corners. After this, I’ve had 2 more projects wherein I used the same 12mm router bit. quick tidbit, the old style strat trem 6 screw, the floyd front row of holes for intonation setting actually lines up and once you put at least 2 on each end you will see where your holes need to be drilled for stud mounts

Ya he butchered this guitar.. when are folks going to stop with the router and use a hammer & sharp chisel? Oh god, now he's got out the router lol
