  • Welcome back! We are checking in on the ranunculus and anemones we pre-sprouted less then two weeks ago. I can't believe how huge these roots are! Next we will be planting them in the cut flower garden.
As always, thank you for watching.

Sorry about that comment...I got cut off. I'm glad you are staying busy for now. Warm weather is just around the corner. Our "Winter" cold is pretty much over. We are back in the 70's and 80's daytime.
    Happy Gardening, Claudia 👩‍🌾👍

WOW that sounds like a dream right now! We've had a few days of beautiful skies which was such a treat. I'm most excited for the longer days ahead. It looks like you've been keeping busy in your garden too. 🥰

Aww thank you!! I didn't have a chance to grow them last year, so it will be nice to have them in the garden again. ❤

I started mine about 3 weeks ago and was thinking it would take more time to sprout and plant outside. I was shocked to see they were sprouting last week too! Have had them on kitchen table and they are doing great. I wasn’t sure what to do with them until it gets warmer outside - expecting low temp next week or so her in CA. I’m so glad I’m doing something right to keep them alive until then LOL Great help with your video!! ☺️

Aww yay!!! Happy this video was helpful. Honestly I was also surprised at how quickly they grew. Even overnight I am seeing so much green growth. I just can't wait to be harvesting them. 😍

Anemone is said "an em mo nee" - not "an nen no me" - you are switching the "m" and the last "n" - it is a common pronunciation error that many people make, sort of a tongue twister.

Lol!!! Thank you Patti, it is a tongue twister. I also speak 3 languages, English is my second language, so some words get mispronounced. 😆

In zone 8b, is it ok to plant ranunculus corms in the fall and let them overwinter?

Hi Namratha, absolutely! In fact I will be planting some this fall too. I'm also in zone 8b and we have pretty warm winters. If I see we are going to have a stretch of cool temperature I will cover them to provide some sort of protection.
