- If you had told me I would have the opportunity to meet Marryn Mathis and tell a small piece of her incredible story... Well I probably wouldn't have believed you. When I reached out to Marryn I had zero expectations of being able to come out to her farm during this busy time of year. She is ramping up for the great big dahlia dig, putting on a seed sale, teaching courses, is a full time farmer and momma, oh and she wrote a book. I am humbled by her beautiful story, her tenacity, and the force this woman is! I'm thrilled I get to share her story and farm. She has the most beautiful romantic dahlia field I have seen. That's you girls😊 I can't even grow dalias or sweet peas in my Zone 8b Texas garden, but I really enjoyed this video. So, so beautiful. A gorgeous farm. Those sweet dogs and gorgeous cows! They are livin' the life! (BTW, I personally love my OCD's; they make my world go round)😊

Aww Pam!!! Send you the biggest hug!! Marryn was so open about her Nana and how much she means to her, I definitely shed a few tears. I’m so happy she has allowed herself to heal, it’s ever easy loosing a loved one, especially one that had so much impact and n your life.

I had just watched yesterday The Last Homely Garden…a You Tube that takes place in England. Kate visited a Dalia Farm that was beautiful. Your posting at a Dalia Farm in Washington was stunning! The beauty brought me so much joy. I had decided earlier this summer that I was going to up my garden with planting dalias as I had done years ago. My frustration back then was not really having a place to store my tubers….I will try again. It isn’t easy in zone 4. Thanks for sparking my interest and love for dalias.
Awww of course!! I’m always excited to talk about dahlias. 🥰 I will check out that channel. Also if you have a garage that stays between 45-50 degrees would work. Just store them in vermiculite, peat moss, or wood shaving. 💗

@@InTheGardenWithClaudia I’ve not been successful with sweet peas yet. Was about to start them in the ground this week but glad I didn’t. We are just east of this Hurricane Helene coming in to panhandle. We are lucky about an hour inland.
