I was diagnosed with Lupus. I wasn't expected to live to see my youngest graduate high school. I have 4 children the youngest is 34. Love the dress you choose.
Funny how addicted I am to this show given I had an 11 year abusive marriage and vowed never to marry again. And I am not a follower of fashion. I think its the fabulous Al and Jo and Gok who keep me coming back. Their honesty, empathy and encouragement gets me every time.
I'm recovering from being brought up in an unhealthy family. As for now, I'm not planning any relationship nor wedding. I have to say I don't even dream of any dress - they all look pretty similar to me. But as you, I come here for Jo, Al and Gok. I come to see how they notice what is going on relationships-wise and what are their values in interacting with dozens of families, of which every has its own dynamics. And I enjoy it a lot

“Otherwise that would’ve been the first thing we knew about you.” That’s a powerful statement. It’s a wonderful reminder of how to prevent things from defining us (to the best of our abilities).
The bridal consultants are wonderful women. They are wise, they understand life and they give wonderful advice to the brides they assist with wedding dress choice. Wonderful video. ❤
So glad you picked this dress. Well done ladies for helping and guiding the bride. Your wisdom most often is the deciding factor. There should be more consultants like you two.
This soft pink dress is possibly one of my favourites out of most I've seen at the boutique. I can imagine wearing it, and feeling pretty. She looked so beautiful
This episode is awesome. It feels so much better when you find someone with the exact health issue you have. Because they understand, and no one else really can
My lil bestie has lupus and and no one would ever know because she doesn’t talk about it…ever. She does what she wants, when she wants and lives the life she wants.
Don’t just accept what they say is EXCELLENT advice! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve beaten the odds! Just keep going girl!! And that dress is fairytale gorgeous!!
The pink one was perfect on her. I especially loved the slight off the shoulder effect & only she could see her swollen hip. It suited her 100%! I hope she had a magical day without a flare up.
Bonnie is stunning. Her complexion and all around energy just lights up a room. I hope she is able to have children. She would be the best mother in the world.
I love both Jo and Al and how they treat their brides in an understanding and knowledgeable way. Kudos to both of these beautiful women, inside and out.
All these episodes I've watched and this is the first one that made me cry. Jo I love you and the work you do. I'm not even plus size I just love your spirit. I wish everyone could have a bridal team like these ladies.
I'm so glad that Bonnie chose the pink dress. Her face just lit up when she saw herself. When she wears that dress on the day, no one will be looking at her hips because they'll be blinded by her radiance.
I have a friend who suffered with Endometriosis....& then was diagnosed with Lupus - double whammy!! BUT.... like Jo, was fortunate to have a daughter!
I’m a Spoonie. I’ve had many, many different challenges & experiences because of that. It’s super great that these two invisibly ill folx feel empowered by “overcoming” their disability. It would also be super great to acknowledge that maybe society should do a bit of adjusting to allow space for the strange & difficult lives Disabled people live. Instead of focussing on “not letting [disability] define you”, maybe it’s time to look around the room & work out how everyone can make life more accessible, so Disabled people can be both uniquely Themselves, & also Disabled.
My late grandmother had Lupus for about 5 years before she had treatment and up until she died last year she was in remission for about 10 years. But I will tell you this the dress made the young lady look like a beautiful bride.
I am a plus size woman and when I married there were no plus size wedding dresses and bridal boutiques that sold plus size dresses. I was a size 18 then and had to make my own dress. How I would have loved to go to a bridal boutique to try on all the pretty dresses.
Bonnie picked the right dress, and I think everyone in the entourage and shop celebrated her making that choice. Years ago I had a dear friend who had lupus and had to have her spleen removed one summer. After surgery she recuperated with my family for 3 weeks, because of an unfortunate rift within her own family. She recovered in time to start graduate school by the end of the summer. Brave girl.
I just love these two. So kind, uplifting, understanding and just want to help build these gorgeous brides up and help them feel confident in their skin.
Another autoimmune sister who has healthy children here! I suffered many miscarriages and complications in two of my three successful pregnancies. I hope and pray that Bonnie will have healthy and successful pregnancies that end with healthy and successful children! ❤
Thank you ladies for hanging this beautiful bride. Because of you'd kindness and compassion she "will" have a better life regardless of the lupus. Also, thank you for your bridal assistance. She is stunning 😍.
When she mentioned her hips being different sizes, I looked back and couldn't see anything. It seemed to me that she was a tiny bit paranoid about that showing during the wedding because if it really was there, I couldn't see it. I'm so glad she went back to the pink dress, I think she might've regretted it if she hadn't.
I love your show. This darlin soul is so lucky to meet someone else with Lupus, who gave her best advice ever!! I too have lupus but lupus doesn't have me! Rock on sistas
I didn't know lupus made your hips swell! Of course I couldn't tell on her, but what a thing to deal with. Among all the others, of course. Wishing her lots of luck.
Eight years ago I was told to give up hope to walk ... I get up every day to prove them wrong. I walk on average 1,000 steps a day. Keep your motivation. It'll hurt but it'll be ok
Bonnie I will say that pink dress was absolutely the best choice you look beautiful and I see just by watching that dress is meant for you and for you to feel like the beautiful princess you are daily 👑💐💕🙏🏼❤️
That first dress was absolutely amazing with that gorgeous beading on the bodice. I don't think it was quite her colour though. The pink, although not as beaded and sparkly (even though she initially wanted sparkly and more is more), was definitely her colour and suited her well.
Beautifull bride😍..!! My niece died of Lupus at the age of 14 bcz the doctors could not recognice the signs she had. After an autopsy they found what she died of..😢They said bcz she was so young they could not think of that on her. Later an aunt of her, fathers side, said that she has it too and she herself became a doctor.
She looks beautiful! In all of those dresses ❤️ I thought I couldn’t do strapless because of the build of my upper body. I was self conscious of it and new id need tons of support so I can dance well (I’m a dancer, the first dance is choreographed too!), so I was curious to at least try something with a corset back. Next thing I new I chose a strapless dress thanks to the corset so I could keep myself cinched in properly. I’m so excited for my better size to come in and for the wedding now
I was diagnosed with Lupus when I was pregnant with my daughter. The doctors said that I had to decide either life for my daughter or to save my life. My husband and I decided no, we will have both. My daughter is 38 years old. And I’m still here, too! You can have both.

I was diagnosed with lupus. Have two beautiful kids. 22 and 24. You can be stronger then the condition. Don't give up
This episode really hit home for me. I don’t have Lupus but I have four autoimmune disorders. She looks beautiful!!!!
MIchelle, sending you Love, Peace & Light....Blessings & pray
@@savitaraj783 ….thank you so much!!!! ❤️
I was diagnosed at 35 . I am now 60 and I have never let Lupus define me!! You are a rock star!! That dress is stunning on you!

Agreed
I was horrified when she initially thought she wouldn't take the pink dress, because it was sooooo beautiful on her! She's a lovely young woman.
These two ladies help so many women. Bless their sweet hearts.
I gasped when I saw the pink gown on her. I’m so glad she went with her instinct. 🥰🥰🥰
I love Jo's reaction when she said she wanted to try on the pink one again
she looked fabulous in all the dresses, but, she picked the right one.
I agree. The one the she picked was perfect for her.
That dress was made for her! So glad she picked it.

She glows in the chosen pink dress. Just lovely. Wishing her all the best on her wedding day.
I was diagnosed with systemic lupus & ITP at 19 and have 3 beautiful very healthy children which are all grown up.
You two ladies are so awesome. You make your brides see their beauty. Bravo to you both.
Such a lovely dress, I'm so happy she picked the dress of her dreams!

I’m so glad she chose blush dress ♥️And for the first time I see a bride who doesn’t feel sorry for herself for being overweight. I really hate it
She looks so beautiful in all the dress but I think she chose the best one.
My mom has lupus too she has 6kids and 1 set of twins so fingers crossed for you!
Never say never sweetie. I’ve got a beautiful healthy non lupus daughter after my diagnosis- don’t EVer give up hope!❤️

Never let a condition make choices for you.
She did look fantastic in the pink.

Stunning it was the perfect dress choice
I am so happy for her! I think she made the right choice!
That dress suites her, just like it was made for her, wow she looks fab💖
Another great episode. Learned a lot from it and also happy for this bride’s lovely choice.
I have ms and fibro and arthritis and more. I have alot of the same symptoms of lupus. These ladies are awesome.

I have lupus. Everyone’s symptoms are different. That’s why they often call it a “snowflake” condition.
@@hanthony6 That sux! If only your body had a better way of telling you you’re unique & special!
Lupus can affect people all in different ways. Steroid use makes you balloon like anything.

That dress is absolutely stunning on her!!! Perfect 👍
