- While I was at PMB to see how they work their magic on Porsche and Ferrari brakes, I checked out the other side of the shop - PMB Coachwerks. Eric and the team were building a legit GT tub and working on an early 914-6 (serial # 41). This video is a detail-packed tour of what goes into these special cars.

Interesting! One thing the video guy did, unnecessarily, was point the camera at the person a lot and not as much at the cars. Why?, the cars are the stars.

Looks like there’s a little tire rub on the front wheel well when he’s showing the front suspension and brakes.

I owned a 914. It got totaled in '87. After pointing out all those 914 rust prone areas, I have a headache. I drive a rx-7. It feels like a stationwagon compared to the 914.
Hope you were OK after the accident. Never too late to get back into the 914 world!
@@IanKarr collapsed lung, blood in the chest cavity. A Denny's waitress ran a red light taking her husband to the V A hospital in a 1973 ford galaxy stationwagon. Everyone blamed the porsche guy because he's got $$$. 914 was a fine little car, but that rust on an old car. Why not just get a miata? It doesn't come close.

Great video only problem is I have a 914 which I’m going to make it look like a GT but mine is gonna look like crap compared to yours . That is unless I win the lottery

M caliper is it steel or aluminum
Not sure, but reach out to Eric at PMB.
M came in both but at this time it would be aluminum, this was not the correct Caliper for stock 914 6

@@IanKarr Every single weld. The ones on the windshield support, engine bay. All of em! I've seen better welds on a pipeline and this is a custom car.
