Lenovo also really needs to up their long term software support. Updates are infrequent and terminated too soon for most of their tablets.
Sadly there's really only two decent manufacturers of tablets - Samsung and Lenovo. And where I live Samsung's price is very spicy.

It's a good review but I am still in doubt because I am looking for a good "media" tablet...
Maybe next time go a bit more in depth how Netflix and TH-cam look on both tablets. And also how it looks in sunlight.

It's pretty obvious that the Tab S7 has a better screen, as you he said and you saw, it's sharper and more vibrant. Just watch other comparisons or reviews. Ivan Kham was disappointed by the Lenovo screen and so were other big tablet reviewers like MyNextTablet, etc.
The Lenovo Tab 11 Pro comes with a keyboard cover + active stylus + book cover, all of which magnetically attaches to the tablet. I think it is only available in China market. Search for the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro, and you'll find the dedicated accessories. They fit the Tab 11 Pro cos these 2 are identical; the China version doesn't come with GMS although it runs Android 10.
Always play music videos to test sound quality. Basic voice playback just isn't enough for a viewer to determine how good or bad a speaker is.
The screen resolution on the Lenovo can't be improved as it's down to the inferior pentile OLED display. As with LCD displays there are different quality OLED displays and, unfortunately, Lenovo went for a lower quality one to keep the price down. Also the pixels on the screen are effectively bigger on the Lenovo than they are on the Samsung (same resolution but larger display) which can also contribute to the fuzzy looking text/icons.
The screen resolution is the same. But Lenovo uses pentile vs regular arrangement thats why you're seeing a difference in perceived sharpness. Unfortunately can't be fixed with Software.
This comparison came at the right time. Was going for Tab S7 but was curious about lenovo, this sealed the deal and went for the Tab S7. Got the 256gb 8gb ram model. Now can Samsung make an 8in lte tab A this year with at least 4gb of ram please lol.
I feel Lenovo is a big deal as it provides everything for 56k 👍👍...in case of Apple its just robbing pockets 😂
LMFAO I'm sure you're regretting ur purchase now. Lenovos OLED is horrendous, fonts looks boxy and blurry and I'm glad I took one week to research before getting a tablet instead of just comparing specs. Can't wait for my s7 tab to arrive.

One thing... I think the Tab S7 can't video in slow-motion (no 120 fps) like the P11 Pro can. If you use a tablet to analyze sports actions.
For me, software is better on samsung.
(Dex, and Samsung working with developers to bring their drawing apps like clip studio exclusive for Samsung, s pen,much better drawing experience, 3 years software updates)
in asia, this P11 Pro is HALF the price of the S7 tablets. so yeah, you can see lenovo is cutting corners with the pentile OLED panel and the use of SD 730G to cut cost. I heard it's sold in european market with the same price as the S7 though, which is very odd...
thanks for the review, I have a bunch of Lenovo laptops but Samsung all the way for Android devices. Glad I got an S7. Not sure about your choice of interlude between video clips music it got a little too much by the end, but hey nothing's perfect! Onward and Upward!

i heard the lenovo tab p11 pro’s snapdragon 730g is bad, and really slow which is bad for pro users like artists, video editors, etc. tbh the tab s7/s7+ is a better buy bc it has the snapdragon 865+, also the fact that the ipad 8 is cheaper and more powerful at a cheaper price
Actually it is not so bad, but p11 pro has oled display, better battery, bigger screen and is even cheaper than s7. S7 has only better processor and 120hz.

The Chinese made Teclast Tablet is better than both Lenovo and Samsung, I got them both, but I just purchased a Teclast M40 Tablet for $146.00 at Banggood and it turned out to be a bad ass Tablet, best purchase I have ever made

The Lenovo Tab P11 came out way too late. Everyone has either gotten the Apple Air 4,Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 or S7 already in the $500+ Tablet category.
lenovo tab p11 cost 400 usd in aliexpress. A lot cheaper then tab s7.

Althought you say text in lenovo is not so clear as in samsung screen, does lenovo OLED screen make a difference for watching movies against LCD?

Both tablets have something like a white line on the side of the screen when you watch a video. We don't see it in your comparison but do you know if we can remove it ? I think it's just a short cut but it's annoying to see.
If you want to know what I'm talking about, search on TH-cam: "Comparison: Lenovo Tab P11 Pro vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7" and pause at 4:28. You will see that white line on the right tablet.

There is not much pro about this Tablet. Its a great tablet for media consumption not much for pro level stuffs. It has subpar hardware specs - Qualcomm 730 CPU housing GPU thats two generations behind. And display with less refresh rate, lenovo have found a way to cut corners. I would not complain much about camera or lack of 5G but still... Also I am sure its not the latest gen Wacom digitizer on display so will have longer latency with its optional Stylus. Its just another recipe for grabbing mid range tablet market. Not much inovation put into it.
Tab S7 and S7+ packs the latest and greatest. When it comes to specs it does not compromise. It has the best display in any tablets, packs the latest chipset and when it comes to the Spen and Wacom digitizer it is comparable and competent against the best in the game iPad Pro.
If I wanted a pro Android Tablet I would rather put my money on who is pushing the boundaries. Yet again this Tablet is a better than some other mid range - jts way better than TabS6 lite.
Anyway thats my thought.

Wow you should do some reading before you open your mouth.....he comparing Samsung's lite version tablet in the video, so yeah Samsung does in fact make a lighter version of the s7+.... And 2 you are high or something.....for media consumption you can't beat a PC......fuck android....windows is is way better.....no need for actual apps for every diff multimedia service.....in windows you can do everything through your browser. And a PC does real multitasking.....not this bullshit split screen and picture in a picture.......next time before you speak up like u know something then you should actually know something.

The Lenovo display is "worse" because of the pentile display technology - the pixels aren't arranged the same way.

I would use the tablet mainly for reading, writing and streaming. Would I notice a significant performance difference between the Lenovo and the Samsung tablet?
Writing and reading will be where you would notice a difference but streaming is pretty good with both.

Well Lenovo has a new tablet with a SD870 (equivalent to the SD865+ used in the Tab S7) that could be a great competitor to the Tab S7 series. The tablet is $469, has pen support and the pogo pin keyboard.
The P11 Pro was overpriced for what you got. It should have been a $350 tablet.

Lenovo uses a pentile rgb panel. No amount of software can fix the sharpness of that, it's a physical limitation on how the sub pixels are arranged

In terms of the weired thing you noticed about resolution, I think it is a matter of individual case, I mean, I noticed this in my first galaxy note 5, in which the wafer layers were not alligned perfectly resulting in pixel shift which caused the screen to not be sharp as it should be. After returning it back and getting a new one the problem was not there at all.
It is the same idea when you put to meshs on top of each other and try to disturb the alignment of the lines in each layer so every line will appear two.

You just try to spoil lenovo because you noticed your prices are high for no good reason compared to that of lenovo, whatever I see there is drama to you make, when you distinguish display lenovo is brighter good than of Samsung, this differences balances as we find the meaning of having any of this tabs, ROM and RAM of Samsung grows with high prices and that is what many are looking for, some things can't disappoint like phone sold at a high prices with less ROM,

My S7 battery life gets 14 hours. Odk what apps you use or maybe your model is defective with the battery.
100% display brightness on the Tab S7 is higher. At same luminosity level, samsung will only be slightly worse, like 8.5 - 9 hrs vs 10hrs on the Lenovo. Tab S7 is overall way better.

Samsung calls IPS, as PLS-TFT to escape paying royalties to LG. Their IPS looks pretty good. Samsung mostly focuses on VA(TVs/Monitor) and OLED (Mobile devices).

The P11 Pro uses a pentile display, that's why it isn't as sharp. the one big letdown of that tablet.
Must be lucky in the usa having the S7 tablet for that cheap ..So expensive in the uk ..$850 ..Can get the Lenovo P11 for $430 on Aliexpress which would you go for ?
